How would it possibly know the tire width? It calculates the size difference based on the wheel speed sensors.

Depends on whether you're talking about the platform or sync/MFT. In 2011 they added MFT and other features.

It was reported that a few weeks ago 7 different issues came up (not all on the same vehicle) so they started holding them and doing detailed inspections. However, less than 1% of them were found to have even 1 of the issues. So chalk it up to an overabundance of caution caused by all the prior issues.

There won't be much difference between a 20 and 21, but the 20s should be slightly better and you should have more options for tires.

That's funny - we were just discussing vin numbers on another board and 1, 4 and 5 are the 1st position characters for vehicles made in the US.

For those having voice command issues, are you trying to speak slowly and over enunciate? I've found that speaking in a normal pace or even a bit quicker than normal actually works better than trying to speak slowly.

Sorry I didn't catch the first gen comment. That would be very difficult as it integrates with the climate control and other vehicle features that a non-MFT vehicle probably doesn't have.

Pretty sure that's sync services that requires a phone connection. Travel link uses the sat connection.

Yes but you need all new parts (around $2K) and a dealer willing to load the software. Someone was advertising a turnkey solution for $2K but I don't know if it was on this forum.

Moved to the correct forum. Hopefully it's just a wiring problem. If not you may have fried the smart junction box that controls the lights. You can try disconnecting the battery.

Did you get the Ford Premium Care ESP? Hard to believe the roof wouldn't be covered.

Lately Ford has been wringing more performance out of the factory setup so there isn't as much room for aftermarket improvements.

Satellite requires line of sight so it will cut out on overpasses depending on where you live and the angle of the satellites in the sky. AM/FM is radio waves which are completely different. Satellite is also susceptible to solar flares.

I think on the iphone you can choose whether audio goes to bluetooth or the phone speaker - maybe android has something similar.

It's the noise - it makes you feel like it's accelerating faster. The actual hp gain is only at WOT and even then it's so small you wouldn't really be able to feel it.

But this isn't a performance oriented AWD system - it's strictly for better traction. I'd say there's a decent chance we'll see a Ford Performance tuned Edge ST or Sport within a year or two and that will most likely get the Focus RS torque vectoring AWD system.

The ticking noise when sitting still is just the direct injection - normal. No idea about the other noise. I say just turn up the radio.
