  1. The problem isn't the material - it's the application.
  2. Try it at lower rpm and see if it behaves the same way.
  3. Have you checked the cranking amps? Voltage means nothing.
  4. I think it will shift automatically sometimes if you're near redline. I've heard conflicting reports. My 2000 Lincoln LS was the first Ford vehicle with Selectshift and it would never upshift on its own.
  5. It's possible the tire pressure wasn't adjusted properly on one or both vehicles you drove. Theoretically everything else being equal the 18s should ride smoother due to the taller sidewall. However Ford has done a good job with tuning so the larger wheels aren't necessarily bad. Test drive a couple more just to be safe.
  6. There is a difference - whether you can feel it is up to you.
  7. What are your credentials?
  8. Don't think it's mandated by law but most mfrs seem to be doing it including Audi and Chrysler.
  9. I had dinner in Danville a couple of times while visiting San Ramon for work. Had some great fried chicken at Revel Kitchen and Bar and some great food and wine at the Vine at Bridges. Welcome.
  10. The rear gate hands free is a separate option than intelligent access. However, that feature is only available on SEL and Titanium, not SE. Are you sure you have a SE and not a SEL.
  11. If it's "all there" then why wouldn't they charge you for it?
  12. The handles may have the wiring but do you have the proximity sensors that detect the key?
  13. Just to be clear its in the vehicle settings menu on the left hand display (press left several times to get to the main menu).
  14. Understood - just trying to explain how it works.
  15. It's also possible the dealers aren't installing it correctly. They had similar issues with the early PTU seal replacements.
  16. Like I said it could be a parts hold. It's also possible the others were ordered as dealer stock (priority 20+) - those get built first anyway. I wish Ford would treat retail (sold) orders differently and not make it part of the dealer's allocation. They've done that before on individual models.
  17. Your order date and priority only matter within your dealer's allotment. Unless your dealer is simply too lazy to look it up, they either don't have allocation available or there are too many priority 10s with earlier order dates ahead of you from the same dealer. The other possibility is a parts hold.
  18. There is no way that's a $3K repair. It's covered by the emissions warranty which is typically 80K miles.
  19. Like I said either Apple has either tested certain apps and allows them (or blocks them) or there is a flag in the app that says whether it's safe for car use or its deciding based on how the app interacts with the screen. Eyes free was created specifically for car use. No auto mfr is going to allow you unrestricted Bluetooth access to Siri. If they did you wouldn't need Eyes Free. Because I guarantee you if someone gave Siri a command that asked for screen interaction and they looked at their phone and crashed they'd sue Apple and Ford in a heartbeat.
  20. All edges are job 1 until job 2 comes around (if it comes). You're referring to the OK to buy that happens when the factory builds perfect vehicles 5 days in a row. Retail ( sold) orders aren't built until the ok to buy has been given so no problem putting in orders now.
  21. Bsquare didn't write sync 3 so there's at least a chance they can follow through on it this time.....
