  1. Ford would not spec AN OEM filter that could not last the recommended oil change interval without getting clogged and going into bypass mode. That would just be asking for more warranty repairs. Assuming the engine is operating normally. Nobody is telling you not to change your oil at 3k or 4K but saying the filter usually clogs up is just plain wrong.
  2. No you didn't. You said it USUALLY get clogged after 3K but the larger Edge filter MAY go 4K.
  3. The steps in the video should work because he actually exposes the sensor before cleaning it with compressed air then wd-40. You don't want to just spray it willy-nilly. And even if it doesn't - you haven't lost anything other than a few minutes of time.
  4. Because when you actually used the coupon the vehicle was sitting on the dealer's lot.
  5. All FWD Fords have open diffs except the Focus ST/RS (I think).
  6. Exactly. You don't think all those journalists would pay their own way to travel just to see one new vehicle, do you?
  7. No timing belts - it uses chains. Nothing other than fluids and filters until 100k miles.
  8. Yeah - good luck with that........
  9. Every vehicle you buy comes off the dealer lot. It just means you have to take delivery to use the coupon. You can order it and use the coupon if it gets here before it expires.
  10. OEM filters clogged after 4K miles? Absolutely ridiculous. I'd go look up numerous tests that prove otherwise but you'll just ignore them.
  11. Does it change with speed? Could be a bad wheel bearing.
  12. But your month is a year for other people!
  13. Another 2-3 years and you'll be in Hybrid territory!
  14. On fueleconomy.gov it clearly states regular fuel. That's the authoritative source.
  15. Many don't trust the IOLM and are doing 5K changes (or sooner) and some are doing that even with full synthetic. Overkill, IMO. The IOLM interval with factory synthetic blend is just fine.
  16. No - the mpg ratings are on regular according to fueleconomy.gov. The HP rating is on premium.
  17. They were obviously planning to release it last fall but it was delayed.
  18. He didn't claim a mpg increase, so I'm staying out of this one......
  19. Some of the accessory delay is managed by the devices like the radio. It gets constant power and it decides when to shut off based on timers and triggers. It also allows you to turn on the radio manually for up to 1 hour. More flexible than cutting power to the entire circuit.
  20. It's going to be hard to prove that it was a faulty repair 2000 miles ago. I assume the root cause of the bent rod was a broken timing chain? Or was there fluid in the cylinder?
