  1. I wouldn't think so. Have you tried pressing on the triangle itself and around it? Do you have MFT with the button on the bottom of the display or is it a small button at the top of the non-MFT radio?
  2. Not related to MFT or Sync. It's a regular button that has a triangle on it.
  3. I use this one on a home compressor. I haven't verified the accuracy but the readout goes to 1/2 lb increments. And griots' stuff is usually good quality. http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/digital+tire+inflating+gun.do?sortby=ourPicks I honestly can't tell any difference between the two. On the Edge or other SUVs they would lose pressure regardless and unless you were taking it back to the tire store regularly for service it was a pain to top them off with pure Nitrogen. The advantage to my custom mix is I can get it pretty much anywhere. For free.
  4. For the record - I totally agree that the individual tire pressures should be displayed since the computer already knows what they are. The only part we disagree on is how egregious it is if Ford doesn't give you that feature. Without it you still get the low tire warning - that doesn't change. And it's just as easy to refill the tires with a gauge instead of the car honking the horn. Much more precise too. Would it be nice to see the individual tire pressures without getting out the gauge? Sure. I would be shocked if the 2015 mustang and F150 got that but not the Edge.
  5. I run a very precise mixture of 78% Nitrogen and 21% Oxygen. I have it custom mixed. I've had pure nitrogen and there isn't any noticeable difference. Less moisture is the primary benefit over the long run.
  6. So it's really just about laziness? I get the gee whiz factor, but come on......
  7. Yes some may do that and it's great, except that Ford still won't pay for a repair if there are no symptoms.
  8. Do we know it won't get the F150 style tpm? Anything the MKC has should also be available on the MKX. You really can't cite Lexus or BMW features without comparing those against the MKX.
  9. You guys are missing the point. Nobody offers every single feature available. Mfrs have to pick and choose the features they offer on particular vehicles. It's not fair to grumble about Ford leaving out certain features unless you also credit them for providing features the others don't. Or at least gig the other makes for the features the Edge has that they don't have. It's also an entirely different discussion to say "Gee I wish the Edge had this feature" instead of "stupid Ford won't give us these features that are so easy to implement that everyone else has". All I'm suggesting is to keep a little perspective when comparing one vehicle to another.
  10. I've never had a heated steering wheel but I've had plenty of flat tires, so I'd have to say yes. A simple tire pressure gauge does the job just as well as Nissan's system, just without the gee whiz factor. I don't understand the need for auto folding mirrors except on full sized vehicles trying to park in small garages.
  11. I don't know when the new software is due out for the existing vehicles. I thought it was debuting this fall in a new vehicle but that's just my guess. Waldo might have better info.
  12. Every mfr has to pick and choose the options for each vehicle. Once again you're cherrypicking the features YOU want and ignoring the others that the Edge has that the competition doesn't. Which competitor has auto parallel parking? That's WAY more complicated than lights that flash when you put air in the tire. How many competitors have a 350 hp engine option? Perspective please.
  13. I don't know what 3.7 is. I don't think you'll see the new software until it comes out in a new vehicle.
  14. The F150 is the first Ford with individual readouts even though the computer has had the information for years now. Let's hope they roll that out across the lineup.
  15. GM and several others have figured out how to have their nav connect to your local LAN and send a destination from your home computer directly to the vehicle? I think not. Ford planned a web browser and other features 3 years ago. They contracted the development to the wrong company and totally f'ed it up to the point it barely works now. Adding those other features on top of the current mess just isn't feasible. I have no doubt they've learned their lesson and the new version due out any time now will fix a lot of what was wrong initially including those missing features. The point I was making (and I've been a software developer/IT architect for almost 30 years) is that it's never as simple as some people think. It's not the network connection - that's the easy part. But you still have to write an app that runs in the Nav software which isn't there now. And you have all the nuances of wi-fi connections to test - with and without security, different types of security, b/g/n/etc. Then you have security - how do you ensure the connection is valid and authorized? On the front end you need a map of some kind so you either have to build your own google maps or you have to partner with the ones who already do it. None of that is simple or cheap and it requires a ton of testing. Even if you wrote your own app or plug-in it would still have to be tested on all browsers/operating systems. All of that effort and what does it buy you? It takes the place of you typing in an address or simply saying "Destination Address 1234 main st anywhere state". When you think about it that way it hardly seems worth the effort. There are much better uses for wi-fi such as automatically syncing your music between your home and your car. Or contacts. Etc.
  16. Because that would be incredibly complicated especially when you're dealing with third party websites and browsers. Given how simple it is to enter the address directly it's just not worth the effort. If they're doing other things with the new version with the car as a tcp/ip client then that would make it easier to add.
  17. Have it on our escape. Haven't tried it in 6 months. I only know of a couple of places where there are parallel spaces around here.
  18. Actually it may be a standard feature that you can't disable.
  19. Were you moving when you tried to access it? Some things aren't enabled while moving.
  20. I think they do run differently without the A/C on. With A/C both fans have to run at full speed to clear the hot air from the condensor.
  21. I understand the sentiment but frankly people are bad drivers with or without these aids. And bad at math. How else do you explain someone who stops right next to a huge sign that says "KEEP MOVING".
  22. Don't forget that 2002 GC had less stringent emissions and crash standards. Today that same vehicle would probably be
  23. Do a search for Door Ajar - there are literally dozens of posts about it including some DIY solutions. Ultimately you have to replace the mechanism.
  24. If it's 3 years old it's almost guaranteed that the battery is toast regardless of what any testing might show. If you're still under the 3/36K warranty then it's covered. There could be other problems as WWW pointed out but the battery itself is probably toast.
