  1. Neither. It just depends on what you want or need.
  2. I use 87 in my fusion 2.0L EB and it runs fine.
  3. Yep. Daughter has a 2012 SEL Focus. She's not quite as special....... Not too long ago we both had lincolns - I had a 2000 LS and she had a 2003 Aviator. These Ford Titaniums are much nicer.
  4. I used the Dorman part from Amazon - $150. In the car the fan wasn't running at all. When I put 12V directly to it then it ran slowly with noise. I think it would run for a few minutes then get hot and seize up. This vehicle is 6 years old and once it starts to have a problem the wife wants to get rid of it. We're also looking to downsize and she doesn't like the MKC (and I don't like the price). Upgrading to keyless starting, MFT and others will be good. I hate having to take my keys out of my pocket and putting it into the ignition. Are we spoiled or just lazy?
  5. If they work better it will be due to the pads not the rotors. If you just want the look then that's fine.
  6. Not a big difference. They've done a good job with the overall tire and suspension tuning to minimize the differences. Get the ones that look the best to you.
  7. Finished. Took about 45 minutes. Most of the time was wrestling the part in and out - not much room there. New one works fine. I did not see a lower hose support - at least not one connected to the fan assembly. Maybe that was part of the problem. In any event it's done. I tested the old one and sure enough the passenger side fan had bad bearings in the motor. Now we can go trade it in on a new Escape Titanium....
  8. I'll see if I can troubleshoot the failed one after I get it out of the vehicle.
  9. We left the car idling at Lowes then went to a Wendy's drive-thru and it overheated. Did some troubleshooting and figured out the second fan wasn't coming on. It only overheats when the A/C was on.
  10. Nope. Separate sensors. Door sensor is a known issue. No Key Detected isn't as common.
  11. Maybe you're not understanding the layout. The default is the home screen which gives you info in 4 quadrants. No matter where you are, pressing the corner of the screen takes you directly to the phone, climate, navigation or entertainment screen. You don't have to press the presets - use the steering wheel buttons to scroll through the presets forward or backwards. The only time I use the touch screen while driving is to change the source from usb to satellite or vice versa (don't like the voice commands for that). Everything else is done with voice or steering wheel buttons.
  12. Just FYI - the above post is not spam. Just a recommendation from a member.
  13. About to try this on Saturday. Got the new fan from amazon.
  14. I just resprayed the lower left corner of the hatch and it's almost a flawless repair. However, trying to touch up a few individual scratches in the middle of the bumper didn't turn out so well. We're probably trading it in this weekend so I probably won't try any more.
  15. There is only one "filament" in the HIDs with a door that redirects the beam for high and low. Have you tried pushing the stalk away just for grins? That's how they used to work. If they really aren't working then it sounds like a solenoid/relay/electrical problem. Or the switch.
  16. Of course you have high beams. What makes you think you don't? How are you trying to activate them?
  17. By themselves new rotors won't do a thing for stopping power. You'd have to upgrade the pads and calipers too.
  18. It keeps the vehicle from knowing there's a key in the car. It's for emergencies only.
  19. I have the same problem - just diagnosed it today. One fan won't come on even when wired directly to battery power. I don't think the computer has to be reset.
  20. It seems to be delayed - probably until early next year. Otherwise we probably would have seen something by now - at least order bank open dates. Nothing yet.
  21. I said I didn't understand why it was needed. I didn't say it was not needed. I can see where it would be handy for those scenarios you posted. But I still think the number of people who would actually use it is very very very small and therefore I would not blame any company that chose not to support that feature in their product. Just like I don't blame any company that builds a car without a manual transmission. And it doesn't matter if it was there and they removed it or it was never there - it's still up to the company whether they support it or not. I would be happy for you if they put it back.
  22. Let me be more specific. Is there anything USEFUL you can do with it?
  23. Those are dealers only. Far too dangerous for most owners.
  24. This has been a known problem on Ford suvs/cuvs going all the way back to the mid 90s. The seat tracks wear out and all you can do is replace the tracks. Why they can't fix it I don't understand. I think Johnson Controls supplies the seats.
  25. I still don't understand why you would need that or how you would use it. Who drives to a latitude/longitude?
