  1. The big problem with chiropractic adjustments is that they don't treat the underlying cause so you have to keep going back. Physical therapy consisting of stretching and strengthening so the problem doesn't reoccur or doesn't reoccur as frequently. I have a herniated disc in my neck - not bad enough for surgery. My first ortho didn't think I needed any PT so I suffered for 3 months until I accidentally stretched my arm one day and it felt better. Next time it flared up my family doc sent me straight to PT and I was better in 2 weeks. Now when it starts acting up I know how to treat it with stretching. And if there is something serious they'll spot it like Joe pointed out.
  2. I think we're getting confused here. Can you please describe whether you have Intelligent Access or not and exactly the scenario you're wondering about?
  3. The Nav software checks a flag that says whether it's supposed to be installed or not. There is no getting around it. Dealers can't change the flag. Even factory workers can't change it. Only a few engineers at Ford have the software to change it. Just buy a TomTom or use your phone.
  4. Of course Ford could do it if they wanted to, but they would have to make sure the dealers can't cheat the system and load nav without paying for it. So it's not as simple as just making the software available and selling the cards. Even the factory workers can't override it.
  5. My fusion with IA honks twice if you leave the engine running and leave the vehicle with the key fob. It's to prevent you from accidentally walking away with the key. If you leave the door open, leave the key in the vehicle or turn the engine off it doesn't honk.
  6. Many many discussions already listed. Please read those first.
  7. 2007 nav was dvd based with totally different hardware. They changed the way nav works with the 2011 MFT models so it's no longer just a head unit swap plus a few interfaces.
  8. That was pre-MFT though and everything is different with a 2011 MFT.
  9. Might as well flush that money down the toilet. It won't work. You can't activate nav unless it came from the factory that way. And neither can the dealers.
  10. Ok, I see what they did there. Easycare paid Motor Trend to use their name on a certified inspected 3rd party used car warranty.
  11. WTF does that mean??? I wonder if it's a problem with the fobs - either the lock button or remote start button not working consistently?
  12. I suspect they are making more changes to the platform for the MKX just like they did for the MKC over the Escape so it's taking a bit longer.
  13. MFT is an application. The new version should be html 5 so it won't require QNX and it is supposed to be backwards compatible. I'm almost positive QNX will run on the APIM processor so it's up to Ford whether they upgrade MFT and the OS or just MFT.
  14. My guess is it's not seeing the first button press but after that they start registering. Almost like the first press or two wakes it up then it sees the rest. You could probably hit any buttons on the remote a few times then do Lock-start-start. Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to reset everything? That might fix it.
  15. Just so you understand what happened - it didn't just die that quickly. Batteries get weak over time. When you crank the car you drain the battery. As it runs it recharges. When it's new you have plenty of reserve capacity so it's not an issue. As it drops over time it loses that reserve capacity so one day you crank it and if you don't run it more than a few minutes it doesn't recharge enough and then it won't start. A bad charging system (alternator) can also cause it to die but nowadays that seems to be rare.
  16. Sometimes a bad battery will test ok. They're only $100 at Advance Auto Parts (installed). If it were me I'd just replace it to be safe.
  17. Don't overlook the simplest explanation. I think your battery is toast. Also - you should buy a jumpstarter - they're relatively inexpensive and you don't need another car or jumper cables and it doesn't matter where you park. Just charge it and keep it in the vehicle.
  18. If it says information it won't work. You don't have factory navigation.
  19. What does it say in the upper right corner of the screen? If it says Information or something like that then it probably doesn't have navigation. If it did it would say something about the missing navigation card. You can also see if ETIS will give you build info using your VIN: http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do;jsessionid=61409F9301720474F6A1690DF72AF507.eccvas511
