  1. Doubtful because there are very few changes and I don't think there is a glut of inventory on the 2012s. Possible though if you wait long enough.
  2. I would try just really hot water and a wet vac of some kind. If there is still a stain just use a good carpet cleaner.
  3. I don't know why they aren't replaceable but the reason they switched to plastic is because it's much lighter than a steel chromed wheel and it won't pit over time like real chrome. I'm sure someone will figure out how to replace/repair them since Ford is not the only mfr going this route. Until then it sucks.
  4. Next time disconnect the negative battery cable. It's safer.
  5. Not exactly. A plan is dealer invoice minus 4%. X plan is invoice minus 0.4% plus $275.
  6. GForce is a scam just like all the other IAT resistors. Get a real tuner like SCT or don't bother.
  7. No difference - same hardware.
  8. They're chrome plated plastic. I'm sure it's cheaper but it's also lighter (a big consideration with 20s or 22s) and they won't pit over time. The down side is they can't easily be repaired.
  9. I was going to suggest that. As long as your stuff fits and doesn't exceed the weight limit then you shouldn't have any issues.
  10. No - they go off after you turn off the wipers assuming it's not dark.
  11. Except close family friends don't qualify for Z plan AFAIK and if the retiree gets caught generating pins for non family members he'll lose that privilege.
  12. What Dingo said. X plan is $150 or so above dealer invoice but the doc fee is limited to $100 and sometimes you get extra rebates.
  13. I don't think Z plan is valid for friends. X plan maybe. And you can't generate the PIN - he has to log in with his login to prove he's a retired employee.

    spark plugs

Yep - in which case you're only "gaining" what you "lost" when they started misfiring.
  15. The 2012 Focus has a headlamp indicator. I hope they add it to all new vehicles.
  16. First time I've heard of it not working. You could pull the negative battery cable for a few minutes to reset everything.
  17. Be glad you don't have a first gen Fusion. Mine has the turning radius of a greyhound bus.
  18. I don't remember - did you try pulling the negative battery cable to reset all of the MFT/sync systems or have you only been pulling fuse 29?
  19. If it's really just another month and all the major problems are fixed then I think it will be fine. OTOH if it gets delayed much longer and/or they don't really get all the problems fixed then it will be an even bigger fiasco than it already is - especially considering it will affect the 2013 models as well as the current ones.
  20. You can get used CDs/DVDs on ebay (or illegal copies). This seems to be the norm for in-car navigation map upgrades for all mfrs.
  21. And then there's the transmission.............
  22. I heard it also came with a virtual fuse 29 puller.....
  23. Possibly but I think it's already there.
  24. Which proves the original dealer screwed up. Ford only goes by what the dealers tell them. If the original dealer had presented it as a failed PCM per the TSB then it would have been covered.
