I need that backup camera :hyper: My 2007 Edge lease ends next October just in time

I have 15,900 on my 2007. Guess I won't win this contest And it's a lease (may buy it out)

I stand corrected. I do NOT have them. I was looking at the covers that sit under the rear of the front seat supports

My 2007 SEL PLus came with the covers

Sensors are nowhere near the protective molding. They are much lower on the bumper

Not sure if that is a fact or not but my Edge is an SEL Plus which DOES have Auto Lamps. you may be right

There are people that just don't like them. But I assure you it is nothing more than hooking up the Edge to the computer to turn them on. When I asked my dealer to turn them on he was skeptical because it was never done at his dealership. Once the mechanic got my car it was quickly found out it could indeed be done. Cost me a half hour labor

I have 12 more months to go. I hope these nice lease incentives will be around next year at this time

I lease for 36-39 months only. Mainly because of fords 36,000 bumper to bumper warranty. Wish they would increase it like the other companies have.

All they need to do is hook up the Edge to the computer and enable them. If your ford dealer can't or won't help you then take it to another dealer. I found the going rate is a half hour of the labor charge, some may not even charge you Good luck

I always lease my vehicles. Have been doing it since the early '90's. Before that I had purchased several NEW cars over the years and had always sold or traded them in for a loss. For me, someone always wanting the latest models. Leasing works for me

FYI Every Edge is equipped with DRL's. They just need to be turned on by the dealer. I paid about 50.00 to have them turned on (half hour shop labor). I have an '07 Edge. DRL's are not as bright as regular headlights and that is also a reason why they are no substitute in the rain. I also love my lights on with wiper function and never had an issue.

I ALWAYS washed all my cars by hand before I got injured. I must say in the past 4years I have been using my neighborhood car wash I have never had an issue and the car comes out better then when I used to spend 3 hours on it. Maybe there are different types of car washes and I'm not sure just what you mean by "tunnel wash"

I always remove it and most times they (car wash) screw it back on. There was a thread about the stubby antenna on here some time ago.

The worst that could happen is that you break the mirror motor. That happened to me as my brother pulled on the mirror, not knowing how it came off. The motor was super easy to replace and cost was about 28.00 if I remember. Seeing as you have the info needed to remove and install them I don't believe you should have any trouble.

I wonder if the volume level is adjustable? I would like the radio to "MUTE" if possible as I keep the volume low to begin with

Replace only the mirror glass. I changed mine on an '07. Just make sure you get the correct type. (heated, non heated) I believe the heated mirror will also have the puddle lamps under the mirror housing. It cost me about 50.00 per mirror and is fairly easy to do ONCE you know how. There is a detailed post on this already. Just a small to medium size flathead screwdriver will be put behind the glass between the indents and then just rotate or twist the screwdriver and you will see the glass start to pop out. May have to do it in 2 spots Good luck (if you need pictures let me know) Ps. can get the glass from ford or a body shop. Find an '09 or 2010 with your type of mirror (heated or non) and copy the vin number to order the parts
