Usually a bad coil pack when misfiring under load.

Sold the 2011 to a friend and picked up an Atlas blue 2022 ST-Line. I really miss the 3.5 and build quality of the 2011.

I added the engine cover and the hood insulator thinking it would quiet down the ridiculously loud 2.0 in my 22 ST-Line. It didn't.

Another LED hood strip install

I ordered two different ones and compared them. This one was way brighter than the other one I ordered: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FM3KWLLG?ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_asin_title&th=1 Very easy install and adds a ton of light to the cargo area. -

Thanks AE, just ordered the one you posted. I'm hoping it's the same quality as the LED strip I installed for the cargo area. -

Looks awesome!!! Does the color temp match the OE headlight led light strips pretty good? Can you please post a link to the exact strip you ordered and the length. -
My 40,000 mile 2022 ST-Line just started making this exact same noise. Kinda sounds like a bee buzzing when it shifts from 1-2 and 2-3.

I've always preferred Wagner Thermoquiet pads for their quality.

If you lose a key fob…
fishx65 replied to 22CarbGrayElite's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Not sure if you'll know the answer to this question but here it is: I've got a 2022 ST-Line and have the two fobs it came with. I also have an extra one that was programmed to a 2023 Escape that I sold. I was thinking of trying to program the Escape fob as a 3rd one for my Edge since I have the two original fobs for the Edge. Do you think this would work if the Escape fob is compatible?? -
I made the mistake of using an Autozone purge valve and I've had them replace it under the lifetime warranty 4 times. Maybe you installed a defective purge valve.
-
I've never vacuum filled any of my vehicles when I just do a drain and refill. I just drain the radiator, refill it and then check the level after the first few drives.
-
I've always just done drain and refills every 30,000 miles on my Edges. My 2011 just hit 200,000 on the original water pump and my 2022 just had its first drain and refill. I also just did drain and refills on the PTU, RDU and trans.

I don't think any automobile manufactures undercoat and rustproof their vehicles. I wish I had the time to get carried away like they did in that video but I've done pretty good with cans of rubberized under-coating, Transtar Amber rustproofing and a few cans of Surface Shield every fall. I live in a nasty rust-belt and my 2011 Edge was still in amazing shape when I sold it a few months ago.

The storage pocket above the cargo light is pretty easy to pull and gives you access to the light's plug.
-
I assume you tapped into the factory cargo light wiring harness for power???
-
No transfer case, the PTU handles these duties in all wheel drive vehicles.

I just jammed it between the bar and the roof right in the middle. The clip trick that everyone uses just adds pressure to the bar on the passenger side which can also prevent the rattle but mine kept coming back. Putting more pressure in the middle of the bar seems like a better solution and the foam keeps the pressure on the bar despite temperature changes.
-
Have you replaced the Purge valve? My 2011 3.5 had idle issues and the 1st thing I did was replace the purge valve which fixed the issue.
-
So my felt pad under the clip only works for so long but the rattle eventually comes back. I finally came up with a permanent solution!!! The black cross bar that the sunshade rolls under was always the main suspect in my mind. Just for the heck of it I jammed a microfiber towel between that bar and the roof and the ticking/rattle never came back. A foam stress ball works even better and allows the sunshade to operate just fine.

Headlamp Trim is Out
fishx65 replied to normkol's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
$1600.00 for a new headlamp? I hope someone figures out how to take them apart and replace the LEDs by the time mine kick the bucket. -
Probably running tires 5 psi lower would make a bigger difference than a tire with a softer sidewall.

If she drove to the range in an Edge ST she's the greatest chick ever:):)
