I don't think any automobile manufactures undercoat and rustproof their vehicles. I wish I had the time to get carried away like they did in that video but I've done pretty good with cans of rubberized under-coating, Transtar Amber rustproofing and a few cans of Surface Shield every fall. I live in a nasty rust-belt and my 2011 Edge was still in amazing shape when I sold it a few months ago.

I've had that happen with cheap pads a few times. I've been using Wagner Thermo Quiets for about 25 years and never had any problems.

The storage pocket above the cargo light is pretty easy to pull and gives you access to the light's plug.

I assume you tapped into the factory cargo light wiring harness for power???

No transfer case, the PTU handles these duties in all wheel drive vehicles.

Had to change this response. Only use a stress ball. The Hulk was too small and didn't fit tight enough so it got rolled up in the shade and was a bear to get out.

I just jammed it between the bar and the roof right in the middle. The clip trick that everyone uses just adds pressure to the bar on the passenger side which can also prevent the rattle but mine kept coming back. Putting more pressure in the middle of the bar seems like a better solution and the foam keeps the pressure on the bar despite temperature changes.

Have you replaced the Purge valve? My 2011 3.5 had idle issues and the 1st thing I did was replace the purge valve which fixed the issue.

So my felt pad under the clip only works for so long but the rattle eventually comes back. I finally came up with a permanent solution!!! The black cross bar that the sunshade rolls under was always the main suspect in my mind. Just for the heck of it I jammed a microfiber towel between that bar and the roof and the ticking/rattle never came back. A foam stress ball works even better and allows the sunshade to operate just fine.

$1600.00 for a new headlamp? I hope someone figures out how to take them apart and replace the LEDs by the time mine kick the bucket.

Probably running tires 5 psi lower would make a bigger difference than a tire with a softer sidewall.

Could be the AC system. I used a can of AC system cleaner after my drain tube became clogged. You just shoot it up the drain hose and let it sit for about 20 minutes before letting it drain out.

I've always just done a radiator drain and refill every 3rd oil change. Motorcraft yellow concentrate is pretty cheap and the 3.5's internal water pump bearing issue always frightened me. My 2011 SEL 3.5 just hit 160,000 with no issues.

I recently moved from a 2011 SEL to a 2022 ST-Line. I've only put about 2,000 miles on my 22 but can definitely tell that the 11-14 Edges were built better.

If your Edge is part of the recall I'd definitely take it to a different dealership. I got the notice for this recall but haven't taken my 22 in yet.

The jack points are marked on the pinch welds. I just throw the spare tire on and only jack up one corner at a time when I rotate the tires.

Just did a drain and refill on my 30,000 mile 22 ST-Line 2.0. That little breather hose wasn't too bad but make sure to face the clamp tabs forward when ya put it back on to make it easier next time. I was lazy and just put back in what I drained out which was about 5 1/4 quarts.

I added the hood insulation and it didn't do much to quiet the noisy 2.0. Just picked up the Engine cover which I'll be installing this evening.

I ain't no professional mechanic but I don't think a broken sway bar link was causing any of the system issues you were having.
