  1. Very hot. Although the temp seems to vary around the steering wheel. I'll move my hands to the bottom if the top is too cold. Used FORScan to auto-timeout after 10min (so every start-up, wheel is heating for 10 min, then off). The max. temp can be adjusted with FORScan too.
  2. Usually 20 or just below. The moment I have 1 or 2 hard accelerations, it is mid 19s. I've tried different octane levels (87 up to 93) without noticeable MPG.
  3. Not fixed.... 'Senior Tech was assigned to your vehicle. He was able to reproduce the issue. No fault codes were found. Fluid levels were fine.' A call was put into a Ford hotline, waiting for a response. No TSBs have been issued. Bummer.
  4. 1st day build I think. 9/5/18. Have an appointment for Monday. Hope this is an easy fix. Not like the 30 day fix that was posted here.
  5. But why only slippage for 3rd to 4th? If I was low on trans fluid, wouldn't all shifts be rough? ... no real knowledge here... just wondering why only one gear. Torque converter related (still guessing).
  6. Here is 2nd to 3rd (not great) and 3rd to 4th(jumps a lot). I think those are the gear shift points... had to trim to get it to upload. I've been waiting to for a notice from Ford... will need to take to my dealer. I can reproduce EVERY time to 40. Even with cruise control on (so no foot on gas pedal). Untitled.mov
  7. Early build 9-5-2019. No heated steering wheel and piped engine. And the WORST transmission of any Ford I have ever owned/driven (7th Ford vehicle). I cringe EVERY time I go from 0 to 40mph. I swear the shifting is getting worse with more miles (only 1,000 so far). Bad even slowing down, very jerky with hard shifts. Gear shift from 3 to 4th, there is 500RPM jump, then DROP of 800-900RPM. Car lurches with NO change to the depression of the gas pedal. I now try to time it so I can pull back on the gas pedal. If there is a slow acceleration, jump is 300PRM. If a high acceleration, jump is maybe as high as 700RPM, then falls. Not happy. Tried different gas (91, 89, 93).... with no noticeable change.
  8. FORScan - I had to request an alpha version. Version 2.3.18 did not fully function as it didn't allow IPC to be changed (2.3.19 allowed almost all modules to be accessed) Here are the ones that I've used. The 'x' means don't change. I'd recommend that you save your settings (or get your AsBuilt file from Ford). I used codes from Fusions and F-150s (SuperDuty codes, Fusion codes and F-150 codes). For some modules there is a graphical option with checkboxes) **Best one as I never have to actually turn off the heated steering wheel. Remains 'on' for every car start! Once off per engine cycle, you have to use the Sync button to toggle Off/On if you need additional time for heating. 5min has worked for me but I'm guessing in the middle of winter, I'll bump that to 10min. 9. Maybe you can "press and hold the + paddle" for a few seconds. This might exit SelectShift. [This works on an 2019 ST... not sure your MY/Model. Might just be for new 8 speed?]
  10. Wait, you ordered one? Nobody (not even sales people) should drive it. I'd be pissed if it had more than 10 miles! Mine had one test drive by a customer and two by sales people (5 packed in it, then drew straws to see who drove!). With three test drives, there were 29 miles on mine. No leaks on mine. Built on the 1st day. Fingers crossed (check once a week... maybe should check daily!).
  11. It can look like this with FORScan (or your dealer doing it... apparently some dealers do this by default).
  12. Deep Impact Blue Metallic 2013 Ford Edge Sport (sold)
  13. Agreed on shopping around. Some in my area are straight MSRP, others $1k, $2k and even $3k off.
  14. I'm 50/50 for it working on the 1st kick. The delay is frustrating. Sometimes I kick again... but by then, it is already closing. So it stops! I'd rather use the key fob or button.
  15. Yup, it's off in my ST. Buy a $30 USB FORScan device (ELM327 is best), use Windows (iOS can't edit) and the FORScan application (www.forscan.org). Toggle one box (or Hex if you like). Off and I don't care about the noise cancellation that is apparently also disabled. I hope to record the sound with it off vs. piped in noise.
  16. Yup, saw that last week. I love the matte black look of the car (stealth-like). Looks like a beast to carry that rig. Seems like it would tip over. High speeds too.
  17. Edge ST: has a button to either turn On/Off Stability Control OR Sport Mode (hidden: press twice).
  18. No moving parts. Just a spray nozzle. The camera bracket is 'split' at the top. *Don't seem to have the ability to upload a video (or any attachments). Video on Google Drive
  19. Garage opener: agreed. For me, I had to then reprogram my wife's Fusion (seemed to have taken over that frequency). Exhaust: this can be disabled with FORScan but that might also disable noise canceling (there are two boxes to toggle so maybe not?).
  20. #2... wow, you are correct. No 2 detents so no One-Touch, bummer. No 180 rear camera, only the front. No mention of a rear camera washer in the manual but there appears to be one there. It is activated with windshield washing just like the front camera. Just tested it and soap/foam was on the lens but didn't see the nozzle pop-out.
  21. Hi all new ST owners! I thought I'd start a thread with 'new things', 'where's my cheese' or 'issues'. 1. Heated Steering Wheel setting toggle On/Off. This setting is very hidden (Climate>Menu>Heated Steering Wheel). Solution: FORScan APIM module (used the non-AsBuilt module selection, then chose 'Show'). Downside: Sync appears to only start on the Home screen. 2. Rear windows One-Touch down. Is this present in your vehicle? The icons on the switch suggest they should go down with a hard push. Mine don't (have an appointment to have a Tech look at them). Yes, I've tried to 'Re-learn' by following the manual's directions. 3. Windows Up with remote long press after locking via remote. Only Down is available from the factory. FORScan does allow this change. Need to set both the Driver and Passenger separately. FORScan: followed the instructions/settings on this page (mirrors work too but there are better places for instructions). Anything in the IPC doesn't allow editing (either Ford encrypted it or FORScan can't do it yet). If you know of another method for any of the above, I'd be glad to hear (try).
  22. Ready.Shop.Go Quote was 'off' by $500. In my area, there is $500 cash and an additional $500 for non-Ford Credit loan (or cash). The salesperson tried to 'explain' that my number was the same as his. I'm not stupid. I could see that he was giving me $500 for a non-Ford Credit loan (at a high % so he could later 'find' a better one and lower the monthly payment). Also, was $2,300 lower in a trade-in. Dealer #1: $3114 below list. $19,800 trade. $481/mo Dealer #2: $2413 below list (but only $1913 on quote in dealer). $17500 trade. +$500 for red paint. $600/mo (higher than 1.9% Ford Credit) Dealer #1 won. I'm sure that #2 would have moved on the trade (#1 did a bit). No movement on the list price though (but I did hear that Ford was giving extra incentives to the dealers. Mine was trying to get some volume in STs so next year, they'd get more). There were lots of interest in the ST. As I was getting ready to sign papers, another salesperson came by and asked where the ST was. His clients ended up just looking at it while it was getting cleaned up.
  23. Both ST's I drove had the 21" all season tires (brake packages haven't hit the dealers yet). Got the black one... the 2nd dealer (red one, which looks so sharp!) was sneaky with trade numbers and dealer discounts (didn't match Ford's website) and we just walked out of the dealership.
  24. Test drove an ST last night ($3k off list, $500 incentive). Not a long or exciting route. Stiffer than a Sport. Still buying one. Another dealer has a 'extra' Ruby Red one (customer ordered but didn't want it??? What!). Black or Red is the question now (funny reflection in the hood from a light post)
  25. The article poorly worded. The 21" wheels can be separately ordered in the US, alone $995 or part of the $2695 package. Probably due to the 'Summer only tires'... for the brake package not being offered in Canada.
