The FM band is 88.1 MHz to 107.9 MHz. These are the frequencies the converter will tune to. One concern i have is whether your IPhone can play music on USB and display navigation via Bluetooth simultaneously. (I really don't know, maybe it can.)

While travelling, FM stations come and go..... Yes, but thats irrelevant as the transmitter will continue to overpower any FM signal. And if they do interfere, just returned.

Don't think you understand how these adapters work. They recieve the sigmal from your player are retransmit it on a frequency range of 88.1 MHz to 107.9 MHz. (The entire FM band.) You tune it to a dead area of the FM and then FM tune the radio to that frequency.

If you still have this code, believe I'd try a catalytic converter cleaner. These can work if not really bad.

I may have confused you. The FM adapter takes the music from your source and then you tune to a specific FM channel and the adapter plays to that channel. (Just another method to play audio via a wireless connection, to your radio.)

The most likely cause is probably a failing dimmer switch. Another possibility is a malfunctioning body control module itself. You can sometimes fix (or reset) by disconnecting the battery for half hour. On some cars the headlights are controlled by a relay. You can test this by tapping the top of the relay. If the lights go out, the relay is sticking and needs replacement. Sometimes the relay contacts have welded themselves together, locking the headlights on. You can test this by substituting the headlights relay with a different one. You can disable the headlights by pulling fuse #7 (driver low beam) and fuse #8 (passengr low beam.) (Check this, I'm only guessing as to what car you have.) Best method is to connect an OBD-II and read any codes present. (This will not show and body control module problems issues, need a more advanced reader for that.) .

What you experienced was car entering limp mode. The orange wrench light could mean several things, but because of the "bump", would most likely indicate a problem with the electronic throttle control. The bump probably occurred because of a worn motor in the throttle body. This caused it to momentarily lose its position and drop its signal to the ECM. When the throttle body loses its position, the ECM disables the accelerator and lights the wrench. When you shut down the car, it reset the throttle plate position, which allowed the ECM to get a verified signal from the ETB and function normally again. Could try cleaning the ETB but if it's failing, will probably occur again.

You could ask Haz to post a copy of the window electrical schematic to what the actual differences are between the two.

The ECM may detect a low oil pressure signal from the sending unit and stop the engine from starting as a safeguard to prevent catastrophic internal damage. 1004ron is right. 'Good mechanic'. Could also be a broken wire.

I believe that Sync requires the audio device to use Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) for communication. If your MP3 player is a basic version, the car's system may simply refuse to recognize it as a valid audio source. One way around this is to interface with Sync via a FM transmitter plugged into your players headphone jack or through BT. Its my limited understanding that Sync plays the mp3 files in order determined by the value in the "Track" field of the ID3 tag. If it is not populated (think #4) then I think it plays it alphabetically based on the name of the track in the ID3 tag. You have to populate the Track # field with just a number ("01") and not a track x of x ("1/12" or "4/12").

I've had several Karcher's. Usually in the 2nd or 3rd year something goes wrong and I get the speed up—slow down, speed up—slow down on the motor/pump. By default, SYNC 4 plys each reach in alphabetical order (even when playing by album.) The system sorts by filename in ASCII code. To get the system to pay each single in a specific order, you must rename the title to be read in the specific order you choose. The BEST way to achieve this is to rename your songs with numbers, i.e. "01 Tammy.mp3", "02 Sitting in the back seat with Fred. mp3", "03 I sold my heart to the junkman.mp3", etc. Use a preceeding zero on numbers below 10 to avoid 10 or 100 playing before 2, etc. Organize the music into clear directory to make it easier to follow on the touchscreen: Root Folder: "Pop Music" Subfolder: "60's hits" Album Name: "Girl Groups" >"01 Tammy.mp3" >"02 Sitting in the back seat with Fred. mp3" >"03 I sold my heart to the junkman.mp3" etc. Plug the jumpdrive into the USB-A or USB-C port located in the center console, >Audio >Sources >USB >Select by Folder, Artist, or Album (make certain "Shuffle" is disabled.) This should work perfectly. I think 🙂

When I've been face with this, I try to get a needle nose on the end of the threads, hold it tight and loosen the nut. Then when the nut gets to the end of the threads, move the needle nose to the newly exposed threads and continue to remove the nut. The only other way is to add some metal to the end of the bolt (weld, solder, braze, gorilla glue, ect.), something to grab on to; and then proceed. .

If your Edge has a touchscreen, go to Settings > Vehicle > Lighting and check to see thar no override settings are active. One other possibility is if vehicle's battery is low, the battery saver system will disable courtesy lights if it detects a low battery. .

Try performing a "Hard Reset". Disconnect the vehicle's battery for 10 minutes. Inspect the compass wiring for loose connections (or corrosion.) The compass sensor is located near the interior rearview mirror. A faulty connection or a damaged sensor module often causes the compass to stay stuck or show a "N" (No Response.")

This happened to me on my 2009 MKX, drivers side seat. Turned out to be the TED. (ThermoElectric Devices — also known as a Peltier element.) Dealer replaced under extended warranty. A couple of years later the seat passenger TED went. Had the dealer replace both (just in case...) $$$$

If you have a Titanium, it's probably a trim switch used to control ambient lighting. If not, turn it and see. ... poof, thump .
