  8. Order the $5.02 part and fix it yourself. If you lived near me, I would do it for you. I'm old, disabled and not very smart and it was easy for me to do. . The part number in the first post of this Thread 'really' does fix the problem
  9. Good info here. My wife and I have been locking the doors on our (hers) Edge by pushing the last 2 numbers on the key pad, now we'll just touch the little buldge on the door handle.
  10. This is why I join a Forum for every vehicle I own. I'm on 9 Mustang Forums. I'm on 1 Ford Edge Forum. I'm on 1 Ford F150 Forum. I'm on 2 Boat Forums. I was having the 'Shift to Park' problem and used the 'Search' feature of this Forum. I found this Thread with the part number and instructions to do the repair myself. All fixed for $5.02. Its been working perfect for over 3 weeks and still going strong
  11. Got my drivers license when I was 16 years old in 1969. My Dad bought me a 1956 Oldsmobile when I was 15, it had a blown motor. During the year wait until I turned 16 we found a 1960 394 cubic inch motor (325 horse power) for the Olds. I drove that car for around a year and had to trade it in because it was only getting around 9 mpg . Gas was 29.9 per gallon but I was only making 60 cents an hour with my first job . Two weeks after I traded it in for a 1963 VW Bug, I landed a job making the minimum hour of $1.60 . I could afford to put gas in the VW Bug but I got a, 'girl friend'. Ended up 'being broke again'.
  12. I guess you'll have to put them on and see if everything clears. I bought some used wheels for a car i had several years ago, the rear wheels worked but the front wheels locked up the front calipers. I couldn't use them
  13. Switch came in the mail yesterday. Changed it this morning and, FIXED!!!. I can't believe that a $5.02 switch would be the fix but it was . I'm very happy....
  14. Great!!! It did it with me a year or so ago. This summer it has been doing it a couple times per week with my wife. Yesterday she had to shift the shifter several times before the dash display would go off. Going to order the part now
  15. Our 2014 Edge Limited with 22,000 miles has been giving something like 'Transmission not in Park" on the dash display. Is this a fix for this? Is this the same fix my local Ford dealer is wanting over $500 to do? I hope so . But with my luck, mine is something else
  16. Agree with what WWWPerfA_ZNOW said. With only 2 or 3 reviews less than 2 months old, I wouldn't trust the product until more time has gone by
  17. I'm a 'fair weather' Vol fan, only when they win We are in a rebuilding year, been for the last 7 or more years
  18. Pay the people who do this for a living. They have all the tools needed and know how to use them. I had a door ding fixed on another car (not our Edge) and you couldn't tell where it was. Best $60 dollars I've ever spent
  19. Can't damn Ford for a 'lemon'. We bought a new 2013 Edge Limited, had nothing but problems. The SYNC wouldn't work half the time, several other things too . Took it to our local Ford dealer many times. Wife crying (bought for her) about many things not working. Got tired of it and traded it for a new 2014 Edge Limited. Not one problem with the 2014 and couldn't be happier
  20. A few years ago my F150 was doing the same thing your Edge is doing. After replacing the caliper with a new 'rebuilt' one, all was well for 2 months then it started hanging up again. I then replaced the rubber brake hose that goes into the caliper with a new one, the old one looked good to me. Brakes have been working perfect, for over 3 years
  21. I have to agree with it being the blend door actuator. Very common on Fords. Everything will work pretty much normal for a while with the clicking sound before it stops completely working. Just replaced my Mom's on her 2010 Taurus with only 7,200 actual miles .
  22. US Army 1972-1975. Went in thinking I would be sent to Vietnam. Ended up after Basic Training and AIT got sent to Germany for my last 28 months.
