  1. etis.ford report has 4/27/2015 for a build date, and it was online for me on 4/28. Now I reprinted it on 5/1 because it's 4 pages with all the features listed. I ran into my dealer today, he said it's in transit and should be here in the coming week. Tricia at Ford had said 5/10, so it's getting close! Now my hubby is feeling the pressure to get my 2008 Edge ready to sell (we have a buyer). I have my STUFF emptied out--yes, I'm a typical woman who keeps everything but the kitchen sink in her vehicle! I have good intentions not to 'sow-up' the new one (my husband's phrase). But you can bet that all the hidden storage areas will be full:) The etis report is a bit crazy with all the LESS... options that it doesn't have. I don't know what half of them are/or they aren't even options in the first place. If I can figure out how to post pictures, mine will be the first Bronze Fire on this forum, and not a Sport.
  2. Warranty: Thanks for the feedback so far! I won't have loan payments to worry about (thank goodness) and can afford repairs, but they would still bite. I put on about 15,000 miles/year, so reasonable, not excessive. With my 'new vehicle' syndrome, I suppose most initial issues should be under factory warranty (I've never had a factory warranty). Still pondering...
  3. ESP: Extended Service Plans -- Please share you opinion of warranty plans offered by Ford. I see four listed in the manual (online): PremiumCARE ExtraCARE BaseCARE PowertrainCARE I will need to make a decision within a couple weeks when my 2015 Edge is delivered. We aren't normally warranty people, but sometimes we have for major purchases, but never for a vehicle. But then again, I've never bought new before either. (And since it's 2nd generation Edge--new production, I am leaning toward it.)
  4. I've mentioned before that I'm not a huge fan of white or a huge fan of the black grille, but put them both together and a white sport looks pretty sweet! I'm curious if you've ever been to the Barrett Jackson auction in January. PM me about it if you care to elaborate... (My husband and I would like to go to it some year.)
  5. 2-12-15 Dealer sent to ford. 3-19-15 order submitted to plant & VIN. 4-20-15 window sticker printed. 4-27-15 Build date on FordEtis report. ETA 5-10-15 to dealer. Reassuring to see the date on etis finally?
  6. I had to pay for all-weather floor mats; only thing I got free is mud-flaps (splash guards), and I assume it's fronts only. I have all-weather floor mats with my current 2008 edge and they have served me well.
  7. I'm so excited for you! We can all hope that ours comes sooner than expected:) Is that Xzilon that you referred to like a scotch-guard protectant or something else?
  8. Your really have a handle on the timing IMO. Have you sent a PM to Tricia on this forum 'FordService'? Send her your VIN and she should be able to give you an ETA to dealer for you. My stab in the dark guess for you would be May 3rd. Please keep us informed. My ETA from her is May 10th. You are right about the www.cotusb.ford.com website. I entered a VIN of new Edge in dealer's lot and it doesn't show up on here.
  9. garrett62: When you get your VIN look it up on the www.researchmaniacs.com website first to get your window sticker. Mine showed up there before appearing on .etis. Mine VIN is on .etis. but no build date listed yet.
  10. Ambient lighting is the light on the door sill and cup holders, etc. Apparently it isn't available with all trim packages, but I assume my Titanium will have it. Wingnut said it's cool, but not really necessary. Most pictures show it in blue, but I think the orange will be nice; it's looks amber. It's just one more feature that I can tinker with and set to my liking. (I called it Courtesy lights in error at first.) Pretty sure my mom has it in her Lincoln in blue (she wouldn't know how to change it anyway).
  11. cds71: have you taken delivery yet? If so, when? and if not, to you have an ETA?
  12. Mine still doesn't show an actual date on etis and it's supposed to be built this week with May 10th delivery.
  13. Yes, ambient lighting. I read we can choose between 7 colors: three blues, green, orange, red, or purple.
  14. That generic date is there until ford know the actual build date, so I've read. Mine is still generic also.
  15. Today I was able to print my Window Sticker from the www.researchmaniacs.com website using my VIN that I've had since 3/19/2015. (Order placed with dealer on 2/12/15.) It should show up on www.etis.ford.com in a week or so with a build date and then another week or so until delivery.
  16. Wow, thanks for the great pictures! The white looks real sharp. (My hubby didn't want white since we had a white explorer once.) I went with Bronze Fire, can't wait to see it in person. Question: Is there a hump in the middle row? More than in older Edges anyway? And if you got all weather floor mats, is it one long mat or two small ones for that middle row? I'm surprised how many people on this forum decided on the Sport model and/or EcoBoost. Mine will be Titanium with a V6, old school, I guess. But I like my technology, so can't wait to start programming all the options as soon as it come in:)
  17. My husband and I got to see a 2015 Edge Titanium in our dealer's showroom. Hubby's comment was "It's a lot different inside and out, which is for the better." This is comparing to our 2008 which we like. My first impression is that it's a lot bigger--outside is taller, larger hood, inside roomier back end. The four door handles have a thin strip of chrome which I hadn't noticed in pictures. The blue courtesy light are cool. I mostly looked at the storage areas. The arm-rest opens and the inside tray is now on a hinge, which is good. Four power points: front passenger by left knee, in arm-rest console, in middle row, and in the back end. The button to shut the back hatch is now up by the hand-grip on the door itself. In the back end there is a cubby on both sides for 'stuff'. Storage around the spare tire will be great (I use it now for my winter-survival kit). The windshield wipers look pretty huge. Glove box has single button/lock on the left side, leaving the dash area clean looking. It had a blind-spot indicator on the mirrors, but no defrost icon. Didn't get to start or drive it and it's Ruby Red--I ordered Bronze Fire; dealer said I should have it early May. So ETA of May 10th from Tricia at Ford is real close [only negative is the headrests--they jut forward too much for my posture, but I think all vehicles have gone this way for safety.]
  18. My local dealer that I ordered my new 2015 Edge from just got a 2015 Edge in stock today! I can't wait to go see it. This gives me hope that mine will arrive sooner than later.
  19. What color is your 2015 Edge? We all look forward to pictures if you're able and pros/cons also.
  20. Thanks for posting DBeth! I ordered in February with hopefully a May delivery date, so about 90 days. For your sake I hope Ford is catching up to a regular production schedule that could be 6 weeks or so, instead of 12. Mine is AWD Titanium also, with V6 in Bronze Fire.
  21. I've watched some of the video posts. Nice to see storage options in the 2015 Edge. 1. Top center of dash, hidden storage pops open. (Ford offered this in the short-lived Ford 500.) 2. Center below control panel, in front of shifter: pops open for cell phone; this is where the USB ports are located. Side note: Will the USB ports charge a phone when the vehicle is off? They do not in my 2008. Have to use the Power Point. 3. Located behind #2 is and out-of site storage area also; with non-slip liner. (I think the Escape may have this pass-thru area.) 4. Console: I haven't seen any pictures inside the new console. (It looks smaller, but my current Edge is a 2008.) 5. Bottom storage on the front doors looks smaller because of the speaker near the front; no longer a cup-holder down there? Thought and comments welcome...
  22. I was extremely close to buying a 2014 Edge in the fall of 2014. I agree that the 2015 front end looks too much like foreign crossovers, but once I learned of the new features like heated steering wheel, I waited until 2015 to order a 2015 Edge. I'm particular of color and features also, so would have been difficult to find a 2014 that meet my needs. Still waiting for my 2015...haven't seen one in person yet either.
  23. Perk: when did you place your order with your dealer? It took about 4 to 5 weeks to get a VIN from my dealer. Then Tricia can work her magic and get you updates.. Sarflipped: when did you place your order with a dealer in Canada? (Thanks for joining this forum.) ~Jackie
