  1. The harsh ride might be attributed to the Sport suspension as much or more so than the tires. I went from a 2015 Edge Titanium AWD to the 2017 Edge Sport with the standard 20" wheels and I can really feel the difference. I suspect the suspension is the major contributor to the ride quality.
  2. I too have used a professional to remove some major damage to a roof that experienced a fight with a closing garage door.It is amazing what they can do.
  3. I believe that the Lane Keep System has two levels of support. You can adjust the system in the settings function of the left hand display to either vibrate the steering wheel or actually torque the wheel in an effort to maintain the lane.
  4. Austin, I bought 1/2" long hex head sheet metal screws at a local hardware store. I also put tape on the drill bit to limit the depth to approximately 3/8". I used lock washers to ensure that I did not screw into the bumper.
  5. I modified the front plate holder by removing the tabs that were designed to retain the top of the plate and drilled holes in the mount to accept standard license plate mounting screws using the plate as a template..
  6. My Edge Sport arrived in town this morning. Will probably pick it up tomorrow. MJB3
  7. I have an Edge Sport on order. It was built on 5/5, a day ahead of yours. I was told that it was on a rail car on the 6th headed west. I am in central California. My 2015 Edge came west through Elko and Sparks Nevada and I suspect this one will take the same route. Both of ours could be on the same train and yours would probably head south from Elko as mine continues west. Just guessing. MJB3
  8. I think that the order book for 2017 models will close sometime before October. I suspect that the order book for 2018s will be open by then.
  9. Is it possible that once a vehicle is sold and is no longer in inventory, the sticker at forddirectcom is deleted?
  10. If one never reset the computed gas mileage would the indicated number be for the life of the vehicle or is the number computed using a rolling average of maybe the last 500 or 1000 miles.
  11. Thanks for the appraisal Mike. I currently have a 2015 Titanium but have a 2017 Sport on order. I wondered if I would find the seats in the Sport to be a little too grabby and think that I would prefer the leather of the Titanium. In the end, the Sport was the only way to get the adaptive cruise control and not have to accept the vista roof. Once again, thanks for your opinion.
  12. As others have stated, it would be nice to be able to delete the Vista roof in the Titanium 302A package or the get leather seats in the Sport. I currently have a 2015 Titanium and am about to order a 2017. I want all of the safety and convenience options but no roof. In order to accomplish that end I think that I will go with the Sport and accept the seats.
  13. I used some rubber cement on mine shortly after I got it (2015). It has not been a problem since.
  14. My understanding is (and I may be misinformed) that a Lincoln dealer can service the vehicle but can not perform warranty repairs.
  15. I have a 2015 Edge Titanium. Looking at the Window Sticker it would appear as though the Intelligent Access feature is standard in the Titanium, however the remote start is part of the Technology Package which includes the Navigation system, blind spot monitoring and auto-dim driver side exterior mirror and remote start. Hope this helps.
  16. I have a 2015 Edge Titanium V6 AWD that has been in service for just over a year. It has had no issues to this point.
  17. I have heard a similar sound in my 2015 Edge. It seems to occur only when braking and the tank is approximately 3/4 full..
  18. Just took a 600 mile round trip down the Pacific Coast Highway to Morro Bay with the return up Interstate 5 in my 2015 edge Titanium. The wife and I found the seats to be quite comfortable. The return trip was a non-stop run of about 5 hours with no fatigue or discomfort noted. I suspect that there may be subtle differences between trim levels with the seats in the Titanium probably the most comfortable. Ours are not perforated with heat only.
  19. Thanks for the reply. As you stated in regard to the Long Term Fuel Economy, "I assume this is from the "beginning of time"" leaves me with the same question. Is "Long Term" based on a rolling average, on the last 5 fill ups or some other undefined parameter? This is not of earth shaking importance, I was just wondering.
  20. I think that this question is quite generic but I ask it here because of the expertise that I feel resides on this forum. I would like to know if the gas mileage, as computed on board, is developed using a moving average of say, the last 500 miles or is it computed from the last time it was reset. If one never reset it, would it indicate the mileage from the first day in service?
  21. If you have a copy of the window sticker there is a box in the lower center that shows the TOTAL MSRP. several boxes below this is a line that reads similar to this- FF173 N RB 2X 520 001454 06 17 15. The last series of digits, 06 17 15 represents the day that the job was ordered. My vehicle was built about a week after that date (6/25/2015)
  22. I have a Titanium built in late June with a solid roof. It has been through some rain and several car washes with no sign of a leak.
