  3. That "sticker date" located at the bottom is the current date the sticker was accessed. Do a search and bring it up and you will see what I mean. I just brought mine up on http://researchmaniacs.com/VIN-Number-Lookup/WindowSticker.html and today's date shows on the bottom.

    What a day

You've had a bad experience with your Chevy. Kind of like my 2010 Ford Fusion. I plotted the dynamite death of that car a few times. I ended trading it wholesale. Sucks to be you right now, but a new car is potential good medicine.
  5. For those that think the wipers are strange. All my cars, including a very early Corvette, when I started driving, or at least when I got my drivers license, had the "strange" wipers. That's why I've held onto my wide paisley ties, Nehru jackets and my tie-dye shirts. I'm gonna make a comeback.
  6. To give you a good feel for A-Z plan pricing my 2016 Edge Ti sticker price was $44,850. The plan price was $40,150.
  7. I just got that one also. I had the OEM but that one doesn't cover very well.
  8. ^^^^^^ Maybe you could clarify your sentence? Adaptive steering changes the steering ratio in both modes. When in Drive mode I can really tell the difference when turning the steering wheel. It becomes very evident when making a u-turn. T0lkman - try making a u-turn and see if you don't feel the difference. The turning radius is noticeably reduced. From the article I earlier referenced: "You swerve. You reverse. You weave in and out of tight spaces. Constantly. Wrist fatigue should not be synonymous with steering. With that in mind, Ford's Adaptive Steering System is giving customers a breather, supplying an invisible but powerful technology that makes maneuvering your vehicle a little less labor-intensive and a lot more fun. Ford describes the system as one that "changes the ratio between the driver's actions at the steering wheel -- the number of turns -- and how much the front wheels turn." In traditional vehicles, the steering ratio is fixed. With Ford's Adaptive Steering, this ratio continually varies with vehicle speed. This helps drivers to exert less effort in steering their cars. The system uses an actuator -- an electric motor and gearing device -- that weighs in at a mere 2 pounds. And unlike adaptive steering systems we've seen before, Ford's is tucked inside the steering wheel and is simply an added feature, meaning that it requires no change to a vehicle's regular steering system. The actuator serves to boost or reduce the exertion required to steer based on how much you turn the wheel".
  9. Yes, there is a very notable difference, lot's more power.
  10. I'll try one more time....the D stands for normal drive for adaptive steering. Not as in normal drive for Edge's without adaptive steering. S stands for sport drive which actually means the steering becomes heavier. You cannot turn adaptive steering off. If it were off you would get warnings and the car would steer as if it didn't have power steering. Next time your at the dealer....check it out.
  11. t0lkman - I don't know what you're turning off, but it's not the Adaptive Steering as it cannot be toggled on or off. It's in the owner's manual page 218. You can chose between two modes. mjonis - It's part of the Driver's Package and the package is $1,800 at retail. I got it because I really like the Adaptive Cruise Control and have /had it on four cars now. The dealer I go to found my car on anther lot 37 miles away. It came with all the options I wanted and none of the options I didn't want like 20" wheels and the trailer hitch. Here's a pretty good explanation of the Adaptive Steering.
  12. No, I just wanted to vent to Ford, although I did get Ford to intervene once when a dealer in California tried to screw me on a repair. Ford stepped in and corrected the situation on their own.
  13. Interesting.... when I decided on the P7s Ford dealer flatly reused to match Tire Racks price. But then, not all Ford dealers are equal. I presented a Ford coupon for a set of wiper blades right off of the dealers website and the parts manager refused to sell them at the coupon price. He said that he couldn't make any money at that price. I walked away. Less than two weeks later I bought my Edge Ti at another dealer about 5 miles away. I went back to the dealer who reused price match and the sale of the wipers and sat down with the GM. I explained the issues with him and then showed him my new Edge. He was dumbfounded and said this should have never happened. I also wrote to Ford about this, so far......all I hear is crickets.
  14. Checkout the Tire Rack price for this $143.00 vs $170.00.
  15. No Edge and MKZh. My Edge has Hankooks and the MKZh has P7s. The Edge is just under 100 pounds heavier.
  16. Considering there is less than a hundred pounds difference in weight and about the same tire size, I don't see a big difference. Since I own and drive both vehicles I can say the ride difference is fairly equal. But then....it's your money.
  17. I went with the Pirelli P7 tires from Tire Tack. Even Ford could not match the price. Every set of Michelin tires I've had were terrible for tire wear. When I was in Law Enforcement, when he took delivery of new police cars, we immediately had the OEM tires removed and replaced with Michelins. They were great and we were getting high mileage off them. I think, just like most things, the quality isn't there anymore. So far the Pirelli's are a much better ride. I don't know how they are in the snow. I have dedicated snow tires and rims.
  18. That's what supposed to happen with the lights in "auto" mode. Luxpow stated that his lights were not in auto mode.
  19. Or maybe post it in the Lincoln MKS site. http://www.lincolnmksforums.com/
  20. My 2010 Fusion's filler neck was replaced. It threw the same code and leaked really bad. The car had maybe 500 miles on it at the time.
  21. Your car looks great. When I was in open-wheeled racing the asphalt cars were wrapped. It was pretty expensive because of the designs. Luckily they were all covered by sponsorship. The dirt cars were always painted. Tried to run once with the dirt car in a wrap, but after a couple of races it looked pretty beat up.
  22. I did a simple search. Look at post #4 in this thread: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/11575-rear-wiper-removal-and-replacement/
