  1. After all these years you would think there wouldn't be issues like these. I figure for the edge st sport or st I figure it was to speed things up on the assembly line. But the price we pay for vehicles I wish they wouldn’t make all these short cuts to save a dime but that is the world we live in :(
  2. Do you all know why Ford didn't extend the exhaust tips further through the bumper. It is about 5 inches short of being flush with the bumper, this is from the factory and the Borla Cat Back is in the exact same location as factory. Just thinking they could have extended the pipe a few more inches to make it flush or at least closer to the outlet of the exhaust cut out?
  3. Got everything but the brake package (401a, cold weather, 21 inch rims) 39,266.00 seemed like a good deal so I jumped on it.

Love the color and tint. question about your hood protector. How does it install and from the picture it looks shiny which looks great how long has it been on the car.
  5. So the gray hubs that we bolt our rims too I have one they had small scratch with a little rust color on it so need to touch it up any idea what the color is. This is why they should be black hubs.
  6. Got my vent visors yesterday so put them on. Easy install took all of 10 minutes.
  7. So a couple questions about the different wheels. Does anyone know the weight difference between the 20 inch vs the 21 inch combo? The 21 inch rims are painted so the 20 inch rims are they painted black or is the black powdered coated ?
  8. Okay the borla sits inside the bumper outlet about 3 inches. If I add another 4 inches to the pipe it would be about even with the cutout in the bumper. Not sure that would change the sound any or make a difference but it looks like it is the exact same location as the factory exhaust was. I will over the weekend see if I can find a 4 inch extension from a auto store and wee what is up with that but I doubt it will make a difference only adding a few inches onto it. Maybe it they ran complete out of the bumper it would but people behind the car would think... really ford made a cool car and then has a exhaust tip that comes out of the bumper inside a cutout..LOL
  9. Looking forward to some numbers jamie. I did the video for borla so you are up for a video of before and after on the tuning.
  10. I will take a picture under it tonight and see what is up and post up.
  11. This is why I like this forum because I get answers to questions. ? Thank you guys for the feedback that makes sense.
  12. So I posted this on the Edge ST Facebook page (which on a side note it has some good info on there and allot of the members don't know about this forum) anyhow so I notice on my back glass after driving it a little aggressive that I have these fine hairs or fiber strands on the glass. At first I thought it was the new exhaust burning in so I called borla and the tech said he has never heard of that and NO there exhaust doesn't burn out fibers. Shortly after I posted it on FB another member who has a stock exhaust has the same issue so that rules out the exhaust theory. One person said it would be the material under the car that is made of the same material as a hood liner that it would be coming off that? I have no idea so figured I would post up here. My car has 385 miles on it and to date has not been driven in the rain I use another car for rainy days..LOL but if any of you have had this or and idea's what it would be I am all ears. Also on the Edge ST facebook page owners have said after driving the ST aggressively that they smell a burning smell. Could be because the cars are new but wonder if others have smelled the same type of thing? Thanks in advance
  13. The factory exhaust is one piece and heavy. Sorry I should have taken a picture while it was on the lift but was so happy to get the new one on all I cared about was getting the car down and started
  14. Not sure but that would be easy to do and I will do that. I will just go to a place like pep boys or advance auto and get some black tips and clamp on the end. If it makes a difference will have my buddy weld on and extension or if these don't look bad will just keep them on. Only thing I question is would there be a negative running them inside the bumper... with the other cars the tips come out under the bumper but with ours unless we have them poking through the hole the tip would be 2 inch from the exit so all the exhaust heat would be right inside the bumper. Would it melt? or Stain the bumper with exhaust smoke? If you ran it 2 to 3 inches outside the exhaust outlet that would work but won't look as good. Another thought would be to put on an extension and have them curved down to the ground like I did on some older mustangs I owned. All exhaust hits the ground so no smoking up the bumper or paint ? Just some thoughts to put out there.
  15. Well the merging of the 3 files has not worked so I am inserting the links to the three video's I made. No fancy editing software just a go-pro and the raw footage. Thoughts on the Borla Exhaust: It has a unique sound to it that doesn't sound like a V8 of course but when you stand on the loud pedal you now can hear it. I have always felt that it is hard getting a great exhaust note from a V6 let alone a twin turbo V6. At highway speeds and no radio windows up you can hear a slight growl. If your putting a load on the vehicle or going up a incline you will hear it more. There is no drone but their is exhaust sound. There is a difference between drone and exhaust and each of us have our own definition. For me if a car is making noise no matter what speed or what gear than that is drone. When you doing 65-80 mph just a slight sound inside the car, if your on the gas than you will hear it. Anyhow here is 3 different sound clips that might help you in your decision.
  16. Today went on a 200+ mile drive and came back and check the covers and checked the torque on the bolts and everything is still where it should be. The covers are tight up against the face of the caliper and when I say tight I mean you couldn't get a piece of paper between them. Hopefully they stay where they are and now that I have heard this I will check for sure now and than. Thank you for the heads up.
  17. Working on merging the 3 different files together right now. Did a clip outside the car, inside the car, and go-pro mounted on hatch. Trying to use youtube editor to merge them since I don't have something like Adobe Premier and finding youtube editor not working as it should. "Please hold for this minor interruption"
  18. Sorry I didn't clarify this was a FOCUS ST build not a EDGE ST.
  19. If you call them ask them about the ST build. This was a complete engine build, rods, crank, pistons, porting, Big Turbo, etc. etc. Chris is the owner he can give you the details. https://www.pandamotorworks.com/
  20. Greeting ST Family, So for anyone looking to purchase a Borla Exhaust for your EDGE ST this is the company that I went with. I had been in talks with the owner of the company for the past week and he is super nice and they are big into boosted engines. They have two FOCUS ST's making over 500hp which is very impressive. Visit their website and read about or give them a call. They are going to add in the near future on their site a link for ST mods as they become available. Visit them: https://www.pandamotorworks.com/ On the EDGE ST facebook page was trying to get a group buy for the borla and Chris the owner reached out and said he could help us out even without a group buy. So the deal is: Exhaust is $ 1225.00 and free shipping. I ordered mine on Monday afternoon (virginia) and UPS delivered it last night at 5:30 pm. Install will take place this weekend and will do a Go-Pro video and post on youtube. I will put a link once I am done in this thread.
  21. Discount code to get 10% when you place your order. FAMFRIENDS10 = 10% your order.
  22. The fronts went on as if they were OEM, the rear needed a little extra pushing to get them to line up but once you start to draw down the bolt they snap in place. They should be tight against the brake caliper when installing them. At least 1/4 inch away from the rim there is no way they will touch. After install went out for a 20 minute road test and came back everything stayed in place. Have put these on my fathers car in 2013 when he bought a new Nissan and they are still on and look like new. After about a month I did go and give a slight turn on the bolts to make sure they stayed tight and have not touched them since. I rotate my tires so as part of my plan will always put a torq on them just to make sure they are still at 25 in-lbs. If you want 10% off your order use FAMFRIENDS10 at checkout.
  23. Exhaust in now need to get to my buddy's house that has a lift and get it installed.
  24. Covers in and installed personnel preference if you like them or not but it adds a splash of color and since they are powder coated will last longer than I will keep this vehicle. Thinking I need the ST Explorer..joking...sorta LOL
