  1. First off I can't wait to get this flash, I go in toward the end of Nov for an oil change and will get this than. Thank you Jamie1073 for this info. Second thing Jamie1073 you say you will need tires in 20K miles.. sounds like you drive it like you stole it...I LIKE IT....
  2. Get tips from like advance auto, pep boys, etc. and put them on and see the difference, than once I proved my theory that the exhaust being under the car was causing the noise I went to the shop that installed and had them weld the extensions on.
  3. Yes bring the tips out through the hole, flush will take almost all the sound away in fact it was to quite so I moved them back a little to have some growl
  4. So we are now getting to the halfway point in Oct 2019 has there been any real updates for the transmission and all the shifting issues that so many are having. Clunking in and out of gear, slow shifts, shifting out of gear, etc. etc. Between here and the two biggest Facebook Groups for the EDGE ST these issues are so common and either here or on FB I read that Ford Engineers are aware of the problems and working on it but it seems that was well over a month or 2 ago? So does anyone know if they have a fix and they are keeping it secret? LOL
  5. Should work on your titanium I am sure the wiring harness on your accelerator pedal is the same. Also looked at your Sig your Buick GN was no joke and how do you not love a SS.. I salute you.
  6. I wonder when Ford is going to release another TSB to fix this issue and better shifting issue or have they just given up. I would think that is a Project Manager would go to the trans team that did the program and said okay fix it those guys could write the code and flash their test mule and see what it does. They could do that a couple times a week and test it but since they have known about it for months have they just given up and hope all is well I wonder about the 2020 Edge ST did they fix that programming and just not saying anything because everytime a dealer does a Flash they charge back Ford so they are keep this a secret? I which we had a email address to a live person that would give us an update. I have only had the clunk a few times since purchasing the car but the trans shifting still needs some work IMO. If aftermarket tuners can make a difference can't Ford? I mean someone on the team that is working on the GT500 or the Ford GT they must know what they are doing and I know a whole different animal and trans but someone there has to know how to fix it right ?
  7. So an update on the product that is now over a month old.......STILL LOVE IT... turned it off the other day and after 2 minutes of driving turned it right back on. Night and day difference in throttle response. Basically when you go from Drive to Sport mode you feel that difference in throttle response now double that again with this box
  8. Is there any place on Ford's website to check to see when they have the trans update or better yet a link to send complaints to ford about these type of issues, I realize allot of these issues will be fixed in 2023 but until than they need to do something. I guess there to proud to call LMS or the like to ask them what they have done to make things better with the tune LOL
  9. This weekend bought a 1 owner garage kept Fiesta with 50K miles, 5 Speed, Moon roof, for 5K. Now it has no power but getting 40+ avg on the highway. I know it is crazy but want to keep the miles down on the ST and spare it the winter abuse. Sadly I like the ST and needed something bigger than my escape but I don't love the performance of it. Ford could have done so much more to it mainly more HP or give us boost in the lower gears and a transmission that shifted right. If the day comes and they redo it from the ground up like the explorer hopefully it becomes a 0-60 under 5 seconds I will be trading up.
  10. Guessing it didn't come that way either so you couldn't have WOT immediately for emissions, or to keep someone from having full power immediately, but i know when you speed 40K on a performance vehicle you should be able to use it all. Same with our oem tune they limit boost in 1st and 2nd which is why these ST's aren't quicker 0-60 and 1/4 mile. 3rd party tune fixes it so you know Ford engineers could have also but maybe they don't have faith in their parts they spec? Shame on them if that is the reason. Also it really is that much better
  11. Easy install plug and play and you can disconnect the cable that runs to the control box if you don't want it mounted. I mounted mine beside steering wheel. Total install time 10 minutes. Throttle response is dead on at setting 5, turn it up to setting 9 and if you sneeze your taking off like rocket lol Green is sport mood, push button again and it is race mode which is to sensitive for the street but i have used it at a light when a old durango was beside me trying to jump in front of me after the light turned green. Still not as good as a 93 octane tune fro\m LMS but will hold me over for a while.
  12. Same model for the 2019. Buy from https://www.pandamotorworks.com/ will save you some money if you decide to purchase.
  13. !! Warning Long Post !! LOL Well installed my sprint box Saturday and have put about 100 miles on the car so far. And I can tell you a huge difference with throttle response. YouTube sprint booster v3 for those that don’t know what they do you will find a ton of videos on them. They have a three-year warranty and a 30 day money back guarantee so I figure I got nothing to lose and every video I watched was always positive so I decided to get one myself. You have sport mode with nine settings you have race mode with nine settings I default it to sport mode setting 6 and have race mode set to setting 9. So here is my 2 cents on it. Normal drive mode on the ST with the booster on it feels like you’re in sport mode accelerator is very snappy if you just touch it a little bit you move and there is no delay on the accelerator pedal, before it seem like I could push the pedal down maybe an inch or 2 inches before I would get a response now it is instant and when I Stand on the go pedal no delay instant response, when I put it in sport mode and the booster on setting six it feels like a completely different animal and it’s not something that you think you feel the difference you definitely feel the difference the throttle response is the way it should’ve been from the factory. I also tested it in setting 9 and felt it was to sensitive I mean you just touch the pedal and it is snapping you back in the seat and couldn't feather by driving enough to make it smooth so I found 6 to be perfect for me. Now this isn’t a tune replacement you don’t get more horsepower with this what you get is a couple things; throttle response that is instant and also the throttle body opens up 100%. Where in factory mode even if you floored it the computer decides how much the throttle body opens and it will eventually open 100%. I can’t speak for the edge ST but the tuner that tuned my Shelby says a lot of cars he has tuned when they stand on it the computer opens 80% and as long as you keep your foot in it and then computer recognizes that and gives you a little bit more and as long as you still have it floored it opens more every few milliseconds or seconds. With the SPRINT booster if you floor it the device sends a signal to the throttle body to open it 100% immediately. Maybe the manufacture doesn’t want you to have 100% right away to save on powertrain issues that they would have to warranty the tuner doesn’t quite know why that is but that is his best guess and this device bypasses all that, you punch it you’re getting 100%. I am super happy with this device and I realize a tune would also do this and give more power and torque however I have extended powertrain warranty and with my dealer from past experience if I had an issue and they read the code and see that I’ve changed the tune he would use that as an excuse not to Warranty. And since I don’t have faith in this new transmission the last thing I would want is to be replacing it and getting a bill for three or $4000 that I would have to pay out-of-pocket, and I know the second part to the statement they have to prove the tune broke the transmission but the flipside is they can put it back on you and say "prove that it didn’t" and I don’t know how you would go about that, you can get a lawyer and go through all that but at the end of the day it’ll be painful and stressful so as much as I would love to have a tune right now until I know the transmission is more bullet proof I have to hold off, but this device truly installed in about three minutes so if it has to go back to the dealer under warranty three minutes later you unplug it. I got mine from https://www.pandamotorworks.com/ They were the cheapest around and gave me a great price on it. Also the same place I bought my borla exhaust from because they were cheaper than anyone else I could fine. So if you’re like me and feel the car is not responsive enough I suggest giving this a try you have 30 days to send it back but I think after five minute drive in the car you’ll never do that. Nobody on here knows me but believe me I I know all about performance and speed I have modified the crap out of most of my toys http://www.flairphoto2.com and would NEVER stated the above facts if it wasn't true...If I thought it sucked I would tell you. Anyhow just wanted to give you my report on this cool little device.
  14. Wondering how many have done it or going to do it? I heard it tapes flush to the hood which I am on the fence if that is something I want taped to the hood but also don't want chips so kinda torn. I won't keep the Edge for more than 3 or 4 years but want to keep it nice for the next owner
  15. Thank you for the pictures. I heard the front fit fine but the rear was the biggest issue. Once I again I feel ford release this car before it should have I mean how much engineering time would it have taken someone with surfcam or solid works software to design one to fit perfect. SMH. In fact the first company that does come up with the correct design they will have the market share because everyone will go to them kinda like weather tech their floor mats are in my opinion they best you can get. A little on the high side but when compared to the others it is worth it. I would pay extra for stuff that just fit 100%. Same goes with a CAI if someone made one that worked and didn't suck in hot air I would be all in if the price was under $ 500.00 won't even care if it only added 8 more hp I would do it. Spent this much on the Edge so a few dollars more isn't going to make be go without eating..LOL although I could stand to loose a few pounds
  16. Please post up what part number you used and some pictures if you can?
  17. https://www.calipercovers.com/
  18. When they did mine I was at the dealership for about 2 hours. Now not sure how long it was for the flash part but when I have flashed my other cars it is like 10 minutes total for backing up factory and putting in new program. Also after the flash I didn't have the piped in sound anymore
  19. I agree with both of you. I worked for 15 years for Siemens automotive and I would be in a meeting and one of our smartest engineers that really knew what he was talking about would bring up idea's that were good and it was like a light bulb went off in the meeting because nobody else though about it...than we would turn to the Manager and he would have a puzzled look and than allot of times would say NOOoo that isn't going work and then go with a stupid idea and we would all just shake out head and then talk about him after the meeting..LOL Was the Edge ST released before it should have been... I have to say 100% yes because there is all these little gotcha's that wasn't fixed before they were selling them. Adaptive lights being one of them for sure. And yes they fixed it but if they (engineers) would have had more time they would have got it. Same thing with the transmission, the piped in sound, etc. Another year of beating on it they would have worked out allot bugs but I am thinking they were given a deadline and told to make it work because the powers above said we need this out there. Thinking if they would have made this a 2020 model that time would have perfected it more. But when the man above says get it out and you go to him and say " there are some issues" and after he hears them he still says let it go we can work on those later. The 10 speed in the explorer has been out in the mustangs so they knew where to start with that thing for sure. And guys I follow on youtube that do allot racing they beat the crap of that transmission at the drag strip and it just takes it, and I mean some have twin turbo's kits and really beat on the car. Will they push it to hard and break something...for sure but for us daily driving and then sport driving at times that trans would last us forever. What I am hoping for is getting on here or the EDGE ST facebook page ( which has allot of activity at times fyi) and see that someone post up that there is another update for the trans and they make it even better than the last update. I can tell you 100% that Ford does have people watching forums, because of the Shelby Forum I am a member of people complained about things and low and behold other model years fixed everything we complained about. Example mine came with 3.31 gears in the rear. All Shelbys have 6th speeds and with those gears you had to be doing Mach 1 to get to use 6th gear so most of us put 3.73 gears in and it was night and day difference you could use all the gears and it was allot snapper... next thing you know ford from the factory puts in 3.73 gears same with the clutch they put in had issues, they fixed that, the air box sucked and even Road and Track in a article about the car said it couldn't breath 3 years later ford changes the design to more of an open air CAI system and picked up 50 HP (that and a new tune same 5.4 motor as the 2007-2009 that came factory 500hp. Now are they looking at this forum or FB because they are worried about the Edge ST..??? I don't know but if there was a site to post up our complaints to ford I would love to have it so I could tell them my 2 cents not that it would matter but if hundreds said the same thing maybe it would?
  20. So today was off from work and decided to extend the exhaust closer to the outlet of the cutouts. I bought some 7 inch chrome extensions (wanted black but all they had was chrome) so added them so the exhaust tips are about 1 inch from the outlet in the bumper and has really changed the exhaust sound. It has really made the borla quieter. There is still a growl at start up and when you stand on it but other than that you don't get that drone sound because the exhaust isn't under the bumper magnifying the sound. So anyone that has the borla and wants it a little quieter just put on some extensions just don't put them through the outlet because I think that would look bad...but it is your car LOL
  21. Which FORD would see these comments and step it up a little. Like let us have boost in 1st and 2nd gear... maybe not 100% boost but 8 to 10 pounds would be nice and would get this tank off the line a little better
  22. Well as most of you know I put a borla cat back system on and it ends in the exact same place so I am going to but an extension on that will the exhaust tip end about 1 inch from the fake cut outs just to see if it changes the exhaust sound any. I know I am bored LOL
