  1. No won't change any of that.
  2. Got a present tonight well two of them but first things first.
  3. JLT part number is: 3031P $ 139.00 but had a 10% off so that helped a little.
  4. Okay joined the ST facebook group and found a guy on there that had the ford splash guards. He said the front fit perfect no issues but the rear they (ford dealer) had to do a slight mod install them...you can't tell according to him and they look perfect. I don't know what that mod is but figure if I can swap out a blower, bigger intercooler, injectors, etc. than modding some splash guards should be not be an issue LOL so that is now added to my list at some point ? Here is a picture of his car which is hard to see the guards but you can see they are on. He has added some nice touches to his car. I think I want the hood protector since I am getting the front bumper wrapped.
  5. Ordered my borla exhaust today so sometime next week the ST won''t sound like it is a Prius. Once I have it will post up all the details and also a place to get it that is cheaper than summit and free shipping. Working with the owner of a speed shop that is a reseller and will give all the details soon. Also of interest this shop will be selling parts for the Edge ST in the future.
  6. What I found that was very interesting was the dealer told me different states have different deals and I thought it was global. He said allot of times Florida has extra discounts which made no sense and he couldn't explain why.
  7. What I find strange is the 2.7 in a F150 makes if I understand correctly 400ft-lbs so wonder why ford didn't just give us the extra 20ft-lbs
  8. Finally someone gave it a like....LOL back when I was looking at them the 51K scared me and the bloggers were hating on it for the price and telling everyone every car you could buy for that price...BUT now that you can get them for $ 11,000 off MSRP now that changes everything. So I paid 39,473 loaded except for the brake package and for the money I feel I got allot a car and nothing else in that price "Brand New" is out there and believe me I looked.
  9. Called Flowmaster about this to get more info. The sales guy was very knowledgeable about the device and he claims that the computer will adjust for fuel when the computer call for it at the level this adjust which is 3lbs of boost factory. They have tested this for a year on different vehicles before they released it and according to him and to date nobody has called them about a blown engine. Now if this did something like 10lbs boost than I would not walk away I would run away from this but for 3lbs I will roll the dice since the motor has a 60K warranty and the dealer can't tell it was ever on. But having less than 300 miles on my car will wait for a while.
  10. I put a set on my dads Nissan Altima back in 2013 when he got it and they still look like new. Now he doesn't track his car of course but for just normal operation that have been great. Now do they look as good as my Brembo's on my Shelby NO... would powder coating be better and last longer YES.. but I painted calipers on a 03 Cobra and they looked great for about 6 months than the bright red started to fade (because of heat I am sure) so always had to touch them up. Now there is caliper wrap that I have seen guys do on the GTR forum (brother in-law has a GTR) and that looks good and so far has held up very well and been on for 2 years. Now I won't be doing track days with the Edge ST it is my daily driver but they will be fine for normal use and they are of good quality so they don't look bad IMO but others may disagree. Yes they do cost $ 300.00 but I spent 39K on the Edge ST, 45K on the GT500 and at least another 10K in mods on the Shelby since I have owned it and don't ask how much I blew on the my other mustangs so $ 300.00 on the edge isn't a big deal to me.
  11. UPDATE: Checked the website and under the link of in production was another link for more info and when I clicked on it now it says shipped? So I don't know what to believe but when they arrive I will post up
  12. Yes I ordered them from calipercovers.com on June 3rd they say in production not sure why it would take this long
  13. I know tuning is the best way for sure because you get to adjust allot more parameters but the local dealer that would service the car I know it would be a fight if they saw I tuned it if I had to do warranty work. And I know they have to prove it but it is just the hassle of going through it. I like the point that it leaves no trace so if it goes to the dealer you take it off. I think once my car has 3-5k miles on it I might take a chance on it and if I don't like it or it doesn't do anything I will ship it back. Once I decide to pull the trigger on it I will of course post up my results if there is any because one thing about me I don't BS about products even if I buy them and they are crap I am not that person that says " Oh it is great you need to get one" I will warn everyone off
  14. Red with Black and here is my 2 cents which is worthless I know but it is my 2 cents: Caliper Covers are good for accent for what is already dark inside the rim. Black tires, black rims (you have silver black so that helps but you want something that makes them stand out or at least IMO you do. Having them painted with performance blue would be the most tricked out for sure and they would look good no doubt BUT the red would make it really pop. The red ST letters front and back although small looks good on the car it is just an accent color so the red calipers would do the same thing. I know Porsche uses yellow, blue, red, black, but when I see the red to me is really stands out. I have the same color car and ordered the red last week with white letters but was thinking about silver or black but went with white. The same day they arrive I will post up pictures because I will have them on within 2 hours
  15. So this is better than a pedal commander because you get more boost. The price is great and flowmaster is a reputable company so thinking it might not be snake oil? I will call them tomorrow and see if it works on a ST.
  16. That sounds fine with out the resonator now wonder how that would work in combination with the mrt mufflers
  17. Has anyone made a sound clip yet of there exhaust? Was thinking about the MRT and the resonator delete. Cost would be $ 800.00 but if the borla has a drone this might be an option. My friend has a F150 5.0 (totally different I know) but he has the S-type that borla makes for our cars and at 75-80 mph you can hear it with no radio on but at volume 4 and above you hear nothing. Now when he stands on it you hear it than but normal driving it is great. It was pricey I think about 1,300.00 or something like that from summit.
  18. The rims, the stance, the color, perfect !!!
  19. The guy (borla sales) told me to go listen to a F150 with a 2.7 engine and he said that would be about 95% what it would sound like in the edge ST. Not sure that is an accurate claim but after listening to it I love the sound. But now seeing Eddie368 is doing his also that is even better. Please make us a Video Eddie we all want to hear this exhaust on the ST
  20. Guys, Called MRT to ask them for a video outside their test car instead of just the one they have on youtube with the camera inside the car. Gave them my name and number and supposedly the engineer that is in that video is going to call me back. (we will see) but one thing of interest is I asked if they had a resonator delete pipe and the person that I was on the phone said they could do that for sure. They don't have it listed as a part number but she said they could do that. It would be the T304 stainless they use for there other exhausts and would be flanged at both ends to replace our factory resonator. The cost would be approx $ 200.00. Guessing a muffler shop would do it for half but my local muffler shops are like Midas muffler and sure they don''t have T304 pipe. I wonder how it would sound with their axle backs and the resonator removed? The cost would be for both at $ 800.00 and if they call me back going to see about a discount for a group buy or maybe some discount code for members here. I found in life it doesn't hurt to ask all they can tell me is go pack sand..LOL I will post anything get back from them on this thread. Bill
  21. Just called Borla in CA. So ask the sales buy does the S-type drone and he said NO so told him about the issue here on this forum and what he thinks could be the issue is that the exhaust doesn't exit out to through the bumper and because it is a few inches away that the sound waves could be bouncing off the bottom of the edge and causing this extra noise in cabin. So thinking adding a few inches to the end of the pipe might be the fix to get the sound out of the bumper and not under the edge. Now the next question would be if an extension is done which would be very easy from any exhaust shop would having the pipe now in the cutout of the bumper will that heat cause discoloration to the bumper or the heat melt it ? For trucks and cars when they exist under the bumper they have that dual layer exhaust tip that does get hot but not as much as bare raw exhaust tubing? What do others think ?
  22. Called Magnaflow today to ask when the exhaust would be out for the edge and he said there shooting for July 1st and call back than. I have Magnaflow on the Shelby and love it and had magnaflow on the excape as well. For the shelby with long tube headers and catlless x pipe they sound great on the excape would have liked them to be a little louder at WOT. Really was excited about the S-type from borla but hearing there is drone inside I don't want that unless at WOT I would be okay but normal driving would rather not hear it all the time.
  23. yea we got the same, The bumper protector is nice ( a real one that is) but in the 5 years I owned my escape I never hit it taking stuff out but I guess always a first time.
  24. Installed this morning in 10 minutes now just need an exhaust and someone to make a proper air intake
  25. Another package came in today wife asked me if this is going to be another project car lol I said no just need a few parts that ford forgot lol
