I know. It just doesn't make sense. How in the world could Ford be so careless. What are they doing wrong? No wonder everyone is buying the competition. I get it, with all the technology packed into today's vehicles, there will be issues. But Ford is screwing up big time. My ST has not had this issue. But there have been plenty of other small issues that make me wonder??? Did I buy a piece of Junk????

You have an ST. Not an Edge Sport. Ford has already done everything for you. 20 HP over the Sport. 10% stiffer in the front, 20 % in the back. Monotube shocks instead of twin tube. You have sport mode if you feel like you need it, even though 90% you don't. Also, you can double tap the ESC button and put the advancetrac into sport mode. A hidden gem with the ST The ST is everything the Sport wishes it could be. Don't change anything. Mine does have the Performance Wheel and Brake package which makes all the difference in the world. The Pirelli Pzeros turn it into a true performance SUV. . Trust me, you don't need all that tuning crap. You already have it. You have an ST

Seems like there was a time when extended warranties were a waste of money. Now days an extended warranty is probably one of the best investments you can make. Way too much crap on today's vehicles and guaranteed something will fail.

I feel pretty confident doing my first PTU and RDU service. I'll probably take it to my dealer for the transmission service. More so, just concerned that they actually do it. And do it right! Being on this Forum gives me so much valuable information. Including a lot more confidence in doing some of my own maintenance. Thanks to everyone!

In my opinion, it is a great way to clean your vehicle. Especially the wheel wells and undercarriage. How much PSI is it? That would tell a lot about your question. Depending on how strong it is, you need to learn how to use it and not get too close to certain areas and parts of the vehicle.

Makes perfect sense. If they can charge you a ridiculous amount of money to do it at the dealership, as opposed to a 10 dollar bottle you can do yourself. I run a bottle of Chevron Complete fuel system cleaner with a full tank of gas about every 3-4 thousand miles.

Morgant513, I am guessing if you have the exact same issue, you have tried to tighten the trim screws holding the fabric liner to the fender well. As you can see from previous posts, this solved our issue. Please provide more detail if your issue is different.

As ignorant as I am, why is a transmission fluid change so complicated. An engine oil change is so easy compared to a transmission service.

Even though I hate it and will never use it, I do like having the ability to turn it on or off. \ Part of my start up process is push the start button, push the brake release button and disable the ASS 🤣.

I am ordering the Start Stop eliminator. Cannot wait to install it and be done with the Start Stop BS. Pisses me off every time I start the vehicle and forget to turn it off.

Not an afterthought. Mine is the same. If you are not using the vehicles cellular network (like most of us), you probably do not need it. Of course, if you try to unplug it or remove it, the car probably self-destruct! The check engine light will flash, and all the gauges will go haywire! So sad how all these 'modules' depend on each other and are linked together. Break one link and all hell breaks loose!

Thanks for the information. I will check that cable for sure. For some reason in the back of my mind, I thought about what garycrist had posted. With all the technology around us -RF interference/radio waves/cell towers/Wi-Fi etc. all it would take is being in the right place at the wrong time. When these systems get interfered with, they get confused and go crazy. I feel like the dealer is going to tell me they couldn't find anything and everything is ok. Unless it happens again at which point I am driving it directly back to the dealer without shutting the car off so they can see what I am talking about. I will definitely give an update when I know more. Thanks for all the great info.

I can't imagine why it would be an issue. I have the performance brake and tire package on my ST, and it looks like there is more than enough room. Hopefully someone chimes in on this thread, as I don't have enough knowledge to give you a solid answer.

It's horrible!!!! I literally do not know what to trust on YouTube anymore. So much AI generated crap. I am glad I can spot most of it. Just for the record, I bought a new 2024 ST BECAUSE I knew it was the last year and I wanted to get one before they were gone. I know I took a risk, parts might be harder to get, resale might not be good. But at 10,337 miles and two years later-I wouldn't trade it for the world. Amazing vehicle! !!!

Because there seems to be some confusion regarding the correct part number, I would go to your local Ford dealer and make sure you get the correct number.

Yes, they are not serviceable, you have to replace the whole thing! Expensive and sad. I think you should check all the plugs/connectors and grounds. unplug and plug back in. That will 'clean' the contacts. You might get lucky.

omar302 that's interesting because I thought about the same thing. With all these sensors on the new vehicles, all it would take is a small glitch in the system to cause confusion and chaos. This could easily trigger false alarms and warnings. The fact that I could shut of the vehicle and re start it, would set everything back to normal tells me there is no major issue. Two common denominators, it was light rain, and I was using the adaptive cruise control when it happened. I haven't taken it back to the dealer yet, and I drove it the other day around town with no issues. Interesting when you go on YouTube and see all the videos of new technology vehicles (pretty much all brands) experiencing electrical glitches. The downside is when you take it back to the dealer, they tell you that they could not find an issue, and everything is fine.

Without a doubt. My felt pad that you recommended is working really well, but I do expect the rattle to come back over time. So glad we have narrowed it down to that bar. I kind of realized that it wasn't the clip but more the bar itself. Extra pressure on the clip was more a band aid than a fix. fishx65 thanks for the update.

I made a post on the Brakes, Chassis forum regarding this issue. ABS disables while driving causing the dash warning light to go crazy and loss of ABS, Traction Control, Adaptive Cruise Control and Hill Start Assist. Turning off the vehicle and restarting it reset the system. Please read this thread if you own an ST, Thanks

Interesting that when you replaced the battery in 2021 the problem went away for 4 weeks. Seems like that might offer some insight on the issue. What is sadder is that a factory authorized Ford dealership cannot figure out what is going on.

I have 2024 ST with just over 10 thousand miles. While on a trip I was driving with the adaptive cruise control engaged, when out of nowhere the system deactivated followed by a string of alerts in the message box on the dash: cruise control not available, ABS system disabled, traction control disabled and hill start assist not available. Three warning lights illuminated (ABS, Brake and Traction Control). I pulled over and shut the vehicle off, waited a minute and restarted it. Everything went back to normal. About an hour later the same thing happened. The vehicle drives like normal when this happens. I drove to my hotel for the night and the next day all was well, for about 2 1/2 hours. It did it again and since the car drives like everything is ok, I finished my trip. I am still under warranty, and I have contacted the dealer for an appointment. I also got a string of 3 messages on my Ford Pass App, multiple times. One of them alludes to the fact that the Anti-Lock Brake Module may have failed. Just curious if anyone has encountered this. I don't have a lot of faith in my dealer, and I think the more I know, the better off I am. Thanks so Much. Sorry for the dash pic upside down.
