  1. My understanding of all newer cars is that 5k is the new 3k for oil changes.
  2. http://www.autoanything.com/dash-kits/20A52986A1.aspx For fun I searched dash kits and found that Auto Anything (love these guys) has about any color you would want. They even have pink!
  3. When I bought mine I got free oil changes for two years with it. Have to do it every 5k or so to get the freebies. Last year I went over and the service manager jumped all over me. The onboard system tells me to go at 7500. So every 5k is a good way to go? I drive about 1000 miles or less a month.
  4. Could someone give a rundown of what the basic four speaker/6cd changer system in the Edge consists of? How many watts is the stereo, what type of speakers there are, etc. Are they just speakers or are there any tweeters or amps etc with them? I ask because I am thinking of getting better speakers and need to know what I have already. Thanks for any help.
  5. That heavy hood is meant to protect us in an accident. That's ok with me.
  6. Why I am suggesting re-syncing the iPhone with iTunes and rebooting it. If it did not completely load it won't work correctly. That update was long and there was a second update that needed to be downloaded after the initial one. If it is not syncing with all of those devices it sounds like the phone is the common denominator. Hopefully it works for you soon.
  7. Taller drivers have to raise the headrest so that they are not leaning against the top edge that tilts forward.
  8. Resync the iPhone and reboot it and try again. Mine is fine. And be sure that you actually deleted it from Ford Sync, if it is still there it won't let you add another.
  9. Be careful how far you pump the lumbar support, that could cause discomfort, too much of a good thing. I have cloth seats in my Edge that are very comfy and I am prone to terrible low back pain. The leather seats should break in and mold to you soon I would think. The Edge I test drove had leather and it was not sink in comfy like my cloth.
  10. Move the headrest up so your head is against the flat part of the headrest and not the top edge of it. That is why they move up and down for people of different heights.
  11. I also thought that it was something every car has now. Mathieurochette, how about a picture of your headlight knob to double check?
  12. IF you are not talking about the DRL lights, but mean the auto on headlights, the light knob needs to be set one position left of 'off' for them to come on automatically.
  13. It is easy. Remove the string and then push in on the flexible sides and it will pop right out.
  14. It looks cool already. Not sure why you would want to turn a beautiful and expensive car into something that resembles a dune buggy. That's what Jeeps are for.
  15. I had mine fixed this spring and have had no more problems. If you live in cold weather, that will be the test whether or not it goes bad again when winter hits. The boss will be happy.
  16. Try some diluted dish soap, it has grease cutters in it.
  17. What 'preloaded crap' did you remove? You may have erased files or drivers.
  18. When I had my Blazer I started having the exact same thing happen. It would start or not start intermittently, and when it would not start I would push it and push it and it would eventually start. Also, I had accessory power it just would not turn over. What it turned out to be was the electrical/battery harness (right word?) that is buried deep in the engine compartment had broken and depending on the way the wind was blowing there was either enough or not enough connection to start it. I had a fairly new battery but this problem also killed the battery and I had to replace it too.
  19. Hard to think it looked that bad, looks good now. How did it get that bad? Sounds like they used it as a landscape truck.
  20. It's cool that it is still around, interesting to see how cars have changed and developed over the years.
  21. Wow, that's neat. I love the big white walls.
  22. I have to remind myself not to get to comfortable with the fact that the beeps are always the garage and not something else. I noticed that it picks up curbs too, goes off when I have to back up close to an island in the parking lot at work to get out of a spot.
