  1. If there is anything around them it will pick it up. Mine beep as I pull out of the garage because it picks up the garage door track as I roll by.
  2. Does this affect certain model years or could it be any AWD Edge?
  3. You have got to be kidding. 5 times? Sounds like they need to replace more than the seals.
  4. LOL. Or that, yes. My fix is still going strong.
  5. This is why we are so lucky to have bbf here.
  6. Could someone post a link to where they can be ordered?
  7. A local bodyshop should be able to direct you to a wheel repair place, they use them all of the time. If they told you that you have the only one in the country I hate to know what they overcharged you.
  8. I have been an SUV person for a long time, I find the Edge to be as much room as I need and wonderful to drive. And does not look like every other suv on the road either. Good choice you made.
  9. It is definitely one of those posts where presentation is everything.
  10. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! Too funny. I would not want to buy that Edge used.
  11. Wow. Yours must have been built on a Friday. What a hassle for you. I hope they get it right this time.
  12. Not sure what the difference is and why they are better, maybe someone could explain. I have no problem changing them out.
  13. LOL!!! I think it has been a rough week for everyone.
  14. Looks like a false alarm. Dealer told me that the bulb is aftermarket, not Ford and that it must have been changed before I bought it. Said it was too big and why it blew and melted and charred the socket. Said wires and socket are fine.
  15. At only 12k miles one of my turn signal bulbs went out on the way home. Stopped at the store, got a new one. Opened it up to find the bulb melted and the socket burned. I referenced an old post about this below. Is this an indication of worse problems? Will the other one do the same thing? http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/2594-does-anyone-else-have-burnt-taillight-lamps/page__hl__burned
  16. Being someone in the just under 40 crowd I relate to every word of that. Just this morning I said to a coworker that I can't imagine life without computers and cell phones, and how did we ever do it. Even though now we can do a lot more good things because of technology, a whole lot of bad things happen because of it too, so there is a trade off. I had a car with an 8 track player in it and now I have an iPod in a car that talks to me. Cassette tapes and cds in between. My first cell phone was a bag phone that took an hour to set up and a phone plan so expensive that you could only use it if your life depended on it. And unfortunately the 80's style clothes that I was happy to forget are back and look even more rediculous on anyone that was around to wear them the first time.
  17. I read in the auto section of my Sunday paper that it can be the gauges humming. They just do that sometimes.
  18. Wow what a mess. Mine went bad early on, I have an 08 also. I only had about 8 or 9k miles on it, right now I have about 12,700 or so. Had the seals replaced and so far so good, but it has been said here that the cold weather is what does them in, so when winter comes again we'll see. It started when it got cold and I had it repaired as the weather broke this spring. I would love to get a 2011 Edge, I hope this problem does not show up in the new ones. Let us know how yours goes please.
  19. Different dealer. If they just look at it they won't see a leak, the stuff burns off and that is why it smells. Not to jinx myself but I have had no problems since it was fixed. Mine was fixed with a newly designed seal, hopefully they did not use the old seal to repair yours, creates the same problem.
  20. I read that mayonaise takes bugs and tar off. If you order some new ones from the Ford parts dept they would likely tell you how to replace them.
  21. In the US speed limits are posted in miles, not km so no translation is really necessary. There have been other posts here about the lack of illumination of the gages. I agree they are not as brightly lit as other vehicles I have had but I have no problem seeing it. Black numbers on silver is a good contrast to me.
  22. Raise the rear view mirror up a bit, it will see over the headrest.
  23. There is a rubber gasket type layer between the car and the spoiler. When I first got my Edge it came out from under the brake light, had to have it put back.
