Lex, you should post some pics of your nice ride in the gallery for us to look at.

The Traverse got first place, they are so ugly. It is longer than the Tahoe so not sure how it is considered a CUV. And the Highlander got third, and again I would call that an SUV. I see a lot of Edge's around, ever since the big rebates early last year when I bought mine I have seen more and more on the road.
-
Did anyone see on MSN that the Edge was the second most sold CUV in 2009?

Fuel pump? A bad one is noisier when the tank is low.

My original post with pictures also shows the sensors.

I like the old format better myself. Trying to figure out what the orange splotches next to the forums are . . .

I live where it is cold and mine do the same thing, sounds like it is groaning as I pull out of the garage in the morning. I also notice it when the car sits overnite after being driven in the rain.

God I hope so. Anything will be better than 2009. Happy New Year!

Does not look like what you are looking at has all wheel drive? If not, I say that is WAY too much for that Edge. 50k is a lot of miles. Figure12-15k max per year average driving and you should only be at about 30-35k or so. Check the build date to see how long it has been on the road. Edmunds.com is the best place to check pricing. Fill in all of the information and it will tell you what you should be paying. I did that when I bought mine new and having it printed and with me at the dealership helped. I also printed out blue book for my old truck and went to other dealers to price Edge's and get them to write a quote including trade and then took it to the dealer I wanted to buy from. I got more for my trade because I had that then they wanted to give me. Gotta play their game. If you have a Carmax by you I feel that is the best place to buy used. You may pay a few more dollars but you get a car that has been brought back to like new.

Those of you that own a website, who do you use to host it? Also, what does it cost per month or year for the site and if you use a service to attract traffic, what do you use and what is the cost for that? Right now I use go daddy and am looking for something less expensive and also their traffic blazer product is a pain to use. Thanks.

Have you consulted with a detailing shop? Maybe they could get them good and clean and then you could put some seat covers on.

I rescue Italian Greyhounds and have owned the breed for 13 years. The Edge is great because I can get a lot of crates in it. I have three of my own and usually a foster in the house. My current one is a little girl that was rescued from an Amish puppy mill in IA. Everyone rides in their crates in the car. Even a minor accident can injure or kill a dog in the car. An airbag will kill any size dog instantly, and sudden stops or collisions can catapult a dog into the windshield. In most states cops and emt's can legally destroy an animal at the scene of an accident if the owner is incapacitated and cannot direct care for the animal or if it is seen as a threat to emergency workers. Every month I load everyone up to go to my monthly IG get together that I host. The windows on my Edge sport anti puppy mill and rescue decals. Since you own Italian Greyhounds aka IG's and iggies, you may get my license plate that is my avatar . . .

I thought cars were supposed to be named after women? At least I am guessing that is what you are calling Eddie. Late in my Blazer's life I called it 'Christine' because it definitely had a mind of it's own.

Have you heard of the BMW?

They extended the warranty to over 100k, forget the exact number. If it is going to break it would happen by then, and if anyone even has their Edge that long. I agree, fix it if it breaks. I can only imagine having it all torn apart that THEN the problems would start. The amount of money that would be spent on mechanics spending hours on this for every car at Ford's cost would be rediculous.
-
My Blazer had that, and you had to open the glass to open the tailgate and quite often in the winter it would freeze shut. I love the tailgate on the Edge, no reaching up and pulling a muscle trying to close it.

They may have lost it. Mine only came with one car key, so I would not be surprised if they lost one of those. Did you check where the spare is?

There is huge post on here from this summer about that bumper cover, not an original idea. It is 5 or 6 pages long with pictures. -
I downloaded the 2.1 update for my Edge. I have an 08 without the navigation system, so pretty much Sync is only capable of music, phone and maintenance updates, and I did upgrade to the 911 assist. My questions are: is the update giving me something I did not have before or is it just an update to keep the version current, and also, with the 911 assist, can you use it for calling for help outside of having a front end crash and it automatically calling for you? If so, is there an easy way or is it better to just use the phone? I have never had luck voice dialing with it, not sure why. Thanks for any info.

I got the first XM radio that came out in 2004. Had it installed and it never worked. A few years ago I get another and hooked it up and it blew out my electrical. Had everything removed to be sure it would not happen again. So now I use it here at work with a boom box, which is great but Sirius took over XM and changed the programming and now I can barely stand it. There are no commericals, but the dj's talk way too much and they do stupid little skits in between songs and they don't play a lot of the good stuff XM used to. I am keeping it for Chrismas music then not renewing in January. So when I bought my Edge it had 6 free months of XM. I used it and did not renew it. So then guess what? CONSTANT phone calls to renew. Sometimes twice a day. Once I anwered by accident and could not get rid of the guy, tried to explain to him that it so happened the truck would be parked for almost two months and I did not want to discuss it and he did not get it. Buy an iPod and spend the money on music that you won't have to spend money on year after year. That is what I did. No talky talky to listen to either. And much easier to use in the car. I had your experience with a Dell computer representative. And this country's unemployment rate is what?!

The Venza is tiny compared to an Edge, so how are they comparable? And I think it is technically a car, not an suv or cuv.

When I bought my Edge in February I looked at used ones at Carmax and an 07 was over 20k. They are not cheap new or used. That price range me be a bit of a challenge.

Ooh, definitely looks purple. Bummer. Oh well.
