On an Edge with no auto lift gate, how heavy is the tailgate? The Edge has a very wide rear end, so I would have to think that the tailgate is rather heavy, and it is all one piece. Reaching inside to grab a strap to pull it closed could possibly cause someone to get their arm trapped if it came down too fast? Just a thought.

The power liftgate is the best part of the Edge for me. No more jumping to reach it to close it.

Funny. Ya know, when I had my 6 month trial I used it sometimes and I would get so bummed that I could not listen to it during the 6 seconds it took me to pull out of my garage because of no signal.

I agree, weird. I have not brought it to the dealer because if they cannot duplicate it they waste your time and send you home. If I get it serviced I may ask them to check it to see if there is a short or something.

While sitting in traffic this morning listening to my iPod the radio turned itself off. Pressed the knob and it came right back on. This has happened before, and since it has happened again now I am curious why. Anyone else heard of this? Thanks.

If someone were to buy one with a high price point and finance most of it the 0% interest would definitely be the best deal. Except if they limit it to 3 years like they do sometimes, that may be tough.

When it is not snowing here it is often raining and I sure like AWD in the rain. I had a front wheel drive car and hated it. As much as I would rather have rear wheel drive with 4WD on the fly as an option, they just don't make many anymore. So the AWD is the next best thing. Great system as is.

For number 2, are you cranking the wheel too tight and rubbing the tires on the wheel wells?

An ad on tv last nite said the Edge has 0% financing right now. Usually the rebate is better if they offer one or the other.

When I put mine in I snapped a small piece of the lip off on the drivers side, but did not affect fit and does not show. They are not easy to get in. But, I had to take mine out to replace the tape at the ends and they installed easier after the first time.

I figured it out. I went to syncmyride to see what I have installed and it is 2.1 which is all I can get because my Edge is a 2008 and these features in this thread are only supported in vehicles made after 2009. So basically mine can make calls play music and dial 911 because I bought the upgrade. Sounds like Sync is going the way of Onstar.
