  1. What part of the Midwest were you in? How much actual drilling goes into putting these in? Are they by chance putting these in the newer Edge models or still using the stick?
  2. I had the Camaro back in 1990 I think. A long time ago. These would be nice, hard to reach the top of the hood with the stick.
  3. Way back I had a Camaro with that kind of lift for the back glass. They always failed when it was cold, would not work for some reason. Would these do the same? I would leave the stick in place just incase.
  4. I missed this post. I am sure it would fit because they are very similar vehicles. I personally would prefer a black rubber one. Here is what I have found that I think would be a good fit. http://www.bushwacker.com/bumper_protection.asp Bushwacker has nice covers. If you watch the cars go by on their site using the link, the Toyota bumper designs look very similar. Only issue is size. The Edge is so wide. I called them and they do not have measurements for the different covers. So I need to find a Toyota Sienna to measure the bumper. I have really been working on this, just not finding much. Trying to avoid a $100.00 screw up. Geez, someone make one already. I will keep going and report back.
  5. All of which is why I am THRILLED that I got two years of free oil changes with my Edge.
  6. I would make sure that you have actual paperwork calling it certified used. When I bought my used Blazer seven years ago the certified thing was sort of new and the dealership that I had bought many cars from and my family had bought cars from for over 20 years had the gall to tell me it was certified. When I had problems GM was quick to let me know it was not! Luckily I had bought the extended warranty. Whatever that is that you took a picture of should not look like that if it is supposed to be refurbished to new condition, which is what certified means.
  7. Lost Italian Greyhound today at 2pm Janesville WI light tan with white markings approx 15 lb female named Tinkerbell has scars and fresh wounds on neck was injured before being rescued wearing old owners tag was turned into rescue thursday looks like a small greyhound please post any info thanks
  8. You can get 3M dual lock heavy heavy duty velcro in 'clear' from www.uline.com. www.fastenation.com has custom colors available upon request. And here is a link to tan strips on Amazon, but not heavy duty. http://www.amazon.com/Velcro-Sticky-Back-F...3/dp/B000078CUA
  9. Well, I am an idiot. It was bound to happen. I should have had it covered before allowing it to be loaded Sunday. And I am obsessive because this is the first NEW car I have had since 1997. Anyway, I cannot believe Ford or someone has not made one that wraps. I happened to run into a bunch of Muranos yesterday. They all had the stainless bumper protector and the bumper on the Murano is curved, so unless the rubber one is not formed in a curve I doubt it will work. Researching the sizes of the protectors, the Ford one is 42" long and the one for the Murano is only 37", so it would prob look goofy anyway. The Edge does have a very wide rear end, so I am going to experiment with minivan, large suv and Range Rover parts. A RR was parked next to me yesterday and the bumpers are similar. And the CX-9 comes with one, so getting an aftermarket one seems impossible also.
  10. I have touch up paint, would something from them be better?
  11. I did think to myself after I saw the scratch that it would have been a good idea, I have seen them on this forum. I was not even the one that scratched it but I have to figure out how to fix it because it will drive me insane to look at it. Next new Edge will get one.
  12. Good idea. Can I call you for bail money when I get picked up? I'm on it! I am determined to figure this out.
  13. I snuck up on a Murano in the parking lot a few minutes ago. Kinda narrow back end. The CX-9 is built on the Edge base, so one for a CX-9 may fit if I can find one.
  14. I will continue my research and hopefully come up with something good to share with everyone. There is an employee where I will be Friday morning for work that has a new Murano, I will look at hers. I might just order this one to get moving on it. Worth a try.
  15. http://www.nissanaccessories247.com/product.asp?PId=1669 This is the Nissan Murano one. I found it cheap so I am considering ordering it to experiment if it would fit. Bumpers look similar outside of the Murano being curvy. I have an email into them asking how thick and how flexible it is. And depending on how wide the lip is, will the RPS sensors be in the way. Question-looking back at the older threads, I found the Bumper Saver. It looks nice and the way it fits would mostly cover the scratch I have if I also use some touchup paint. The aslauto.com site says to call-are they still having problems with it? Anyone know where else to get one if they are available?
  16. That one is nice. If it is flexible any chance it would fit an Edge? Aren't most of them thin and pliable?
  17. http://www.upyourride.com/ProductDetails.a...ite=google_base Have we seen this one yet? It looks nice.
  18. Not the answer I was looking for. Lex-in your opinion could one of those be applied close to the edge of the bumper or would that look rediculous? Thanks for your help. I am SO mad about that scratch.
  19. Is there a rear bumper protector out there that covers the bumper and goes to the edge or has a lip that goes over and down the edge of it? My day started with seeing a good sized paint chip on the very edge of the bumper where the horizontal and vertical meet. The ones pictured in the threads here seem to miss that part, more centered. Saw one on a Pacifica today. Thanks for any info you have.
  20. Is the open globebox trick the same for the heat?
  21. I have an AWD Edge and I have no complaints about the acceleration. For an suv/crossover it is plenty quick. I tear up the road in it. Love how it handles in the rain too. I hope it treats me well come winter and snow. Comparing an Edge and a Cayenne? Why? They are 2-3 times more expensive, yeah it better beat an Edge for that kind of money.
  22. I gotta say-I found a new 08 this past Feb languishing on a car lot and worried about buying it, but I did anyway, the price was too good to pass up and it only had 29 miles. I have not had any of the odd issues that so many of these threads are about, except the chrome wheels. I feel very lucky.
  23. Air conditioning just has not been the same since they stopped letting us use good old freon. I do not have the fancy climate control in mine, and I agree that on a really hot day it just does not cool. Last month we got close to 100 with humidity and could not get cool on my 45 minute drive home. It helps to get the shady spot under the tree when I can. Interested to see how the open glovebox helps next time.
  24. Maybe it was wrecked? Or the shocks need to be replaced. Damaged/dried out shocks will creak like that. If the fuel pump makes that much noise it prob needs to be replaced. Is it less loud with a full tank?
  25. I found a bunch of stuff on Google like these for BMW and Celica. How did you make one? Is it a secret? I am seeing a market niche that needs to be filled . . .
