My quest for a non-Ford Edge bumper protector that covers the bumper fully and also extends down over the bumper edges has ended. I found it and today I installed it. It looks great I think. I am super happy with it. Does anyone want to take a guess what vehicle it was actually made for? Pictures next post.

I noticed mine because they were stacked together in one door pull. Thinkin I should pocket them before going to the car wash from now on.

Remember the commercials that had the catchphrase about people not even trying anymore? If they did that to me I would have a court date for my reaction.

The inside is a strippo like my SEL. If it is AWD shouldn't it say it on the tailgate or are all sports AWD? Not lovin the blue tailgate but love the sparkly silver seats.

Maybe someone should make a light up one like the hitch covers. It does distract from the third brake lite it is so big. Or sell the space for advertising. Oh wait, Ford already did that.

I kinda had to laugh because I cannot remember any of my cars having little rugs over the bolts.

Last week I noticed that inside the doorpulls are these rubber little inserts. I took it out of the door to take the picture. Are these seriously a stock part? Mine do not even fit very well. This is the best they could do?

http://www.webxtremes.com/ This place does custom stuff too, just can't do 'Ford' which is too bad because I wouldn't mind just a color change. To me it looks like the sticker fits the middle of the oval, not out to the edges so less curve to make.

Lex-you are too funny. I want some. Earlier this week I revived a thread about these decals from webxtremes.com, someone had put some on their edge and I was wondering if they held up. No answer. Can you do the different sizes or just the big one in the back? Because there is the back the front the steering wheel and the centers of the rims. But covering that monster on the back would be good enough.

I would worry about how it would look where old meets new especially since there are many layers that make up this color. Is it a sparkly color or a flat color?

I know nothing about bodywork, but my experience having things fixed is that they paint the entire piece, your quarterpanel, and blend it into whatever it is next to, like the door, etc.

I go to one that takes it off and another that does not. I believe both are touchless. No problems with the ones that leaves it on.

I tried a bunch of the links for parts and places to get them on that old thread and they are all bad links now. If anyone has new info that would be great.

Saw the picture of the blindspot mirror-awsome!!! I definitely need those. Would I be able to put these on? My mirrors have power to move just the glass and no heat, etc. Is it just the glass that gets changed? I checked out the link that Lex posted but the link in the post for parts info is no good anymore.

That is great that they can modify the vehicle you want to drive into one you can drive. I love my Edge, I think everyone here does. Besides the shiny parts my favorite feature is the auto lift tailgate. LOVE IT! They are a very striking vehicle. I cleaned mine up on Sunday all shiny and yesterday while driving to work I got a wink and a nod from a bike rider. :shades: Enjoy, looking forward to the pics.

They always do that. When I got hit last year I got them everyday for months. If someone does not start paying the bills I may need to contact one. PS- funny thing about lawyers, after my accident report went on public record. I must have gotten 20 letters from lawyers “telling” me that I was injured and that they will help me get money for my pain and suffering. Thanks to them I have some nice magnets and cup holders, oh yeah one even sent a nice magnifying glass. .

How have they held up for you?

911 assist has to be done at the dealer if it did not come with the vehicle. It is an upgrade, not an update. Even if the usb gives you trouble when you plug into the computer, check your account for the version you are on, should show it is up to date. I had the same problem.

And the cost to you is lost time to get it fixed and pieced together paint job.

What are your thoughts on it being an issue with the tri coat method of application? Or is this with all colors? I do remember the thread with the dark blue one. I have a regular color, and I have only noticed one odd spot of paint on the hood corner where it meets the windshield on the drivers side, it seems to be a slight different color in the right light, maybe 2x2 inch irregular area. I am going to wash it tomorrow and do a good check on the whole thing, even though the paint seems to look really good. I obsess about stuff like that and everyone laughs at me because I notice the smallest things. So if there was something I think I would have found it already. Good luck at the dealer, update us.

Yikes. Is there any chance something got spilled on it or someone put something on it? Paint should not just fall off of the car. Sorry that happened Lex.

Bummer. I have to pull mine in just right to be able to open the tailgate. I am glad I realized it before I damaged mine. 1950's garage, before suv's came along. Did it go to the primer? If not I would take these guy's suggestions. Touchup paint makes a bigger mess sometimes.
