I don't think it would hurt to add a quart of something like Rislone Engine Treatment or Marvel Mystery Oil at this point in time. Good luck. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/rislone-engine-oil-treatment-32-oz.-100qr/7081049-P http://www.marvelmysteryoil.com/

Just curious as to what price range you are trying for. -

Might want to check with Dan directly at the source. He might have a few sitting around? http://www.daytimebrightlites.com/ -
I have had that happen on just a single station before. I think it is a problem with the station itself, since the other stations I tuned into had the current data which changed as the songs changed.

Sounds like a fantastic deal if someone needs to replace theirs.

Ford Service Manual On DVD 2012-2013 or 2010-2011
ls973800 replied to ls973800's topic in Classifieds
I still have the discs for the years I posted. However, we have moved and they are in a box in storage at this time. We are presently leasing a condo until we buy a house, which will not be for another 6 months or so. I can try and find them next time I am at the storage unit, but don't know how soon that would be. If I find them, I will send you a private message first before re-posting them here in case you are still interested in them. -

Cloudy headlight lens
ls973800 replied to enigma-2's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
It's the ingredient "Deet" in the mosquito spray which temporarily makes the headlights look clear. http://www.precisiondetailgroup.com/#!Bug-Spray-Headlight-Restoration-Myth/c1gzc/CE9CDA18-1148-4AD7-9D9D-CAE290994918 There are many kits available to clean the haze off the headlights. Stick with a well known product, or one that has good reviews on line and you will not be wasting your money. Heck, how much does a replacement headlight lense cost compared to one of the kits? -
If you are saying they are driving unsafely because they know the car stalls out, then I agree with you. You can only drive safely when your car is operating properly. If the engine stalls while driving, yes I believe you could be in an accident depending on the circumstances and I also believe you were driving an unsafe vehicle. For the original poster, if you or someone you know are mechanically inclined, the throttle body can be changed very easily. Other owners on here have purchased the part from Ford dealers, or other sources, such as Rock Auto.com I believe the part can be found for under $150.00 and changed out very quickly and easily.

2011 HID Vertical Adjuster
ls973800 replied to revOevoM's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
I believe the passenger side is factory set to be higher than the driver's side. The driver's side is lower to prevent blinding on coming traffic such as on a two lane road. The passenger side is a bit higher to give additional light to the right side of the road and where it won't cause glare into oncoming cars. My 2013 Limited with the HID factory lights is set up this way as were any other car I've owned, HID's or not. -
When you set up the new phone, did you go into the MFT menu and enable the 911 function? You can also enable or disable the Do Not Disturb setting.

Correct. It is covered like you say for the 8 yr 80K emissions warranty. Several TSB's had been issued saying what parts to replace. Sounds like securinu's problem would have been covered except he has 85000 miles. It appears he lives in California, and they might have different emissions warranty for the parts he needed to replace. Might be worth checking into.
-
Curious if the Ford dealer mentioned anything about a TSB that covered what sounds like your problem? I know there was a TSB that would provide a new PCM/ECM and coils for certain year models that had the coils that failed, and the box that also fried. There was even a pretty lengthy post from an owner who had the repairs done at other than a Ford dealer, and then found out about the TSB with special coverage for miles and time, and at no cost. He fought with Ford for quite a while, but in the end was finally reimbursed for his repair bill. You might want to check and see if that program is still in effect for your year with whatever miles you have. You may be entitled to reimbursement hopefully.

I didn't say I got a loaner or even owned any GM cars that had a recall. When I was negotiating a price on a lease a few moths ago, I was given an extra $500.00 towards the lease in order to close the deal. The money was given to the dealer by GM because they had previously had to put extra loaners into service to have available for customers that needed the recalls done and that were entitled to a loaner. The dealer told me that many dealerships got various amounts of extra money, depending on how many extra loaners they put into service. The dealership then could use as many or as few of each voucher they received ($250.00 each) on whatever customer they wanted to. The vouchers could also be used for purchase, lease, or even service from what I recall. I leased at the end of September, and the vouchers were only good to the end of that month. I was pointing out that GM found themselves on the short end of the stick because of all the recalls in such a short time span, and that they helped their dealers that had to increase their loaner car numbers. Just saying that with the shortage of parts to repair a safety and dangerous condition, I am sure Ford could somehow help their dealers provide loaners to those who need the repair but can't get the parts right away.

I know I replied to this post early this morning, but don't see it. Strange! Again, thanks for the additional info. The wiring you found should be the same as mine. I also have the medium-light stone, so I too couldn't find the correct color sill I needed when I was looking. I will start looking again and see what I find. I do recall many of the used ones had broken clips, I guess they were just ripped out of the car instead on someone taking the time to do it correctly. -
Sorry, I have no idea. If my car leaked and could not be fixed because of a part shortage, you better believe there would be some type of deal worked out to either get it repaired, or to put me into a safe vehicle until mine was repaired. To continue driving it while it is under a recall due to a safety issue is not acceptable IMHO. Quick note that several months ago I leased a GM product. After much back and forth, I was able to get the deal I wanted because of some "hidden" money GM had provided dealers with. Remember all those GM recalls? Dealerships were swamped with having to provide loaners and had to put more loaner vehicles into their system. The end result was that GM gave dealerships "vouchers" that they could provide to customers to help close a deal. I was given two vouchers, each worth $250.00 towards my lease which were NOT a part of any other rebates or incentives. My point is that in that case, GM stepped up to help dealers provide additional loaners due to the recalls. I don't see why Ford couldn't also provide loaners in this case. Or get the supplier to start some overtime shift work.

Been a somewhat common issue over on the F150 board when owner's swap out their tires for a different size. The best work around found (I don't recall reading about a TSB over there) has been to disconnect the battery for a while. That seems to work for the majority of the owners with the complaint. Since a TSB has been issued, have that done if it is still under warranty. Otherwise, if you have to pay, try the disconnect. It seems to work for most owners and they have not had to redo it.

Those links show that Ford HAS issued a recall for the gas tank problem as of Oct 28, 2014. Recall # 14S22 according to the last link on page 3 of that post. No need to pay anything, unless you have the repair done elsewhere. However, you only have until I believe January 5, 2015 to submit for any reimbursement cost. After that, it sounds like unless Ford does the work, you will not be reimbursed.

Did you get yours from a dealer, or off the classified section? I was interested in these at one time and may consider them again. I recall there was some confusion from what I read at the time about what color wires to tap into, and where they actually were. I think somewhere along the line, Ford changed the wire color and or the location? I have a 2013 Edge which should be similar to your set up. One last question, I recall also that once these were installed, it was almost impossible, if not impossible, to remove them without breaking off a tab or something. Is this true if yours were used? -
