Make sure you come back and let us know what you find out, and if you get the Edge you have found.

I think you may still be able to buy the Ford ESP new warranty until the bumper to bumper warranty of 36 months or 36000 miles is exceeded. I belong to another car forum (GM brand) and someone there had just bought a used Acadia and got the Ford used car ESP. Do some checking around or call one of the online specialists that sell the Ford policies. I dealt with Anderson Koch Ford when I bought mine and they were great to deal with. I called with several questions, and had answers within a day if not immediately. http://andersonandkoch-ford-warranty.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=2014-esp&gclid=Cj0KEQjwiJiiBRDh3Z-ctPfS5MgBEiQAAlkbQnTABym-xqlWtOgqMHT-KWad9-df91XoglkmU4mgsO4aAvTK8P8HAQ Search the forum for other dealers that other owners have had great service and prices from.

What year are they from? If they are like the Edge wheels, the 2010 and older models used a larger hub opening. 2011 and newer used a smaller opening. Just trying to help you make sure someone doesn't buy them and then find the wheels don't fit. Bolt patterns are the same, only the hub openings are different. I think older ones are around 2 3/4 inch, and the newer ones are around 2 1/2 inch?

I'm just curious what price range you are looking to find something in? I don't know if you are finding the vehicle you want and the price is too high, or if you just can't find the vehicle. Have you tried searching using the cars.com site? You can do an advanced search and select color, years, miles, how far away from your zip code to search, price, and even certified vehicles. Don't get stuck on having to buy just a certified dealer vehicle. My 2013 with all the options and miles you are looking for except the color would not be sold as a dealer certified because I would sell it privately (if I were to sell it). However, I do have the Ford ESP Premium Care Warranty with 0 deductible and good until 72 months or 100000 miles. This could be passed on to the new buyer as part of the selling price. I almost guarantee a private sale with the warranty or a warranty you could add when you buy it, would be less expensive than a dealer CPO price. I personally don't put much faith into a CPO vehicle just because the dealer is selling it as such. Too many stories of owners finding that the car didn't really have faults corrected, or that the inspection performed to certify the vehicle and ask a higher price, really weren't done to the standards suggested. Make sure you not only shop for the best vehicle, but also for the best dealer if you are going to buy only from a dealer.

Not a direct bolt on fit. The hub opening on the 2010 and older models is larger than on the 2011 and newer models. You would have to use a centric hub ring to make up the difference of the larger hub opening on the 2010 wheel. If you were also going to use the TPMS sensor, the 2010 and older models used a band inside the wheel to hold the transmitter, and the 2011 and newer use the valve stem to hold the sensor. The 2011 and up models also use a different frequency than the 2010 and older models for the transmission of the signal.

Did I just get a raw deal. A3 update navigation?
ls973800 replied to roadkill401's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
I just got the same mailing from Ford about my navigation card being out of date. I am using the A4 card which Ford provided when I did the last update on the system since like it was mentioned earlier in this post, the A3 card would not work with the first release of the update. I threw the mailing away, but it was Ford selling the A5 card for either $149.00 or $199.00, I don't quit remember which price exactly. I believe it was $149.00. I looked on eBay and found the card for around $65.00 which includes shipping if I want to buy it from other sources here in the US. Feedback is 100% on the sellers and they are the Ford cards, new in the package. I think the mail piece also seaid something about 6 million miles of roadway being updated? Wonder what they mean updated? I know on the A4 card there are many roads and streets without the speed limit shown or shown incorrectly. If they add the speed or correct the speed, wonder if they count the miles of the road as having been "updated"? Not going to buy the card right now, I still have the SYNC Services in force for any directions if the nav can't find what I am looking for. -
Add nav to a 2011 with myford touch?
ls973800 replied to tknice's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Still not possible as far as I know. Run your VIN at this site to see just about everything there is to know about your car and what options it was built with. Open the link, click the top left "Vehicle" then enter your VIN. Hit Search and you will have in depth information on your car. http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleSelection.do Or thry this site to see if it will show your original window sticker. You will need your VIN there also. http://researchmaniacs.com/VIN-Number-Lookup/WindowSticker/Ford.html -
It doesn't matter if you have 17 inch as original or not. Ford sizes their tires and wheels so that even if the car came with 17 inch, the 18 or even 20 can be placed on it without affecting the speedometer or drive-line adversely. Take a look at standard size tires that come on the various Edges from the factory, regardless of their wheel size. If you compare them, you will see that they are all pretty close when compared on a tire chart such as this one http://www.tire-size-calculator.info/ By doing this, Ford doesn't have to change the speedometer gearing or module to match the various tire sizes. Many owner's have added 20 inch to their 18 inch equipped vehicle. Some have even added the 22 inch wheels. Some also have put on 17 inch for the winter for better snow traction instead of the 18 or 20 inch. Only thing to watch for is the size of the brake caliper. I think the caliper is larger on a Sport so smaller wheels may not clear? Not sure about that, just seem to recall reading about the caliper difference.

My thoughts exactly. I have an extra set I picked up off eBay for under $50.00 brand new. They will go into my replacement wheels.

If you think the dealer only gets 3% holdback and only pays the printed "true" invoice price, then that's what you believe. We will never know what hidden or factory incentives go to the dealer only, so we will never know the true cost of what the dealer actually pays for each vehicle. I just got a 2015 beginning of this month. Leather, navigation, auto climate control, etc. Not a stripped out or undesirably equipped model at all. I got all the holdback given up, plus some extra money off! No trade, no excessive doc fees, absolutely no add ons. Got all the rebates and 1.9 financing. How was the dealer able to sell and still make money? There turned out to be some additional hidden money given to each GM dealer to help sales because of the numerous recalls in the last few months. The finance manager showed me $500.00 worth of "coupons" they used on my deal which allowed me to buy from them instead of elsewhere. These "coupons" were given by GM to be used at the dealers discretion and in what ever amount they wanted to, with each "coupon" having a value of $250.00! I had shopped at 3 other dealers and didn't know about these extra incentives. I spent over 5 hours negotiating the price, and didn't believe they went as low as they did. While signing the fiance papers, the sales manager and finance manager explained about the extra money they put forward to win the sale. I would have thought they lost money because they gave up invoice, holdback, and even more money but because of not knowing their true costs, they didn't lose money. They can keep the lights on for another day. The next customer may pay sticker, so they might even be able to pay their bills! Or they may sell the next buyer rust proofing, extended warranty, paint protection, maintenance plans, etc. More money is made on the back end of the deal in the finance office than on the sale itself many times. They also get a "kickback" on the finance charges so again, who really knows how much they make on either end. Floor plan costs usually don't start until I believe 30 days or so after the unit has hit the dealers lot. That's one reason they want you to buy out of their stock.

Unless you are the owner of a dealership or one of the top personnel in the dealership, very few people know the REAL cost of the vehicle. If you think the dealership is losing money by selling under invoice, or by selling at less than X-plan to an X-plan eligible buyer, then you are mistaken. I and at least one other owner here have posted how we both purchased our Edge at the A plan price shown on the invoice. Neither of us worked for Ford or signed any paperwork saying we did. We each purchased from different dealerships. I actually got the price from 2 dealerships, before buying from the closest one. There were no excessive doc fees, add-ons, excessive interest rates, etc. All rebates and even special financing were also given with the sale. We believed that Ford was doing some type of market Conquest incentive without it being made public. In other words, if the dealer could sell the Edge only by offering such a low price in order to make the sale, then that is what Ford wanted. You could believe that the dealer lost a thousand or two on those sales, but there is NO way they would have ever sold at that price unless there was some type of UNKNOWN or PRIVATE incentive to them from Ford. There are additional spiffs, rebates, incentives, programs, rewards, ect which only the dealer knows about. Look at the bottom of EVERY invoice for a car or truck, and there will be a statement along the lines that the price shown is NOT the true cost of the vehicle to the dealer due to various incentives, special factory programs, etc. Yes, the dealer isn't making as much money by selling at those reduced prices at the sale time, but there are additional bonuses for units sold, money made in the finance department, etc. Less profit? Yes. Losing money? No way.

The Homelink or Universal Garage Opener can pretty easily be added. You can either find the module on eBay or a junk yard and install it into your visor, or you can find the complete visor and install that. May be a topic on the Edge forum, but if not, very common post over on some of the other Ford forums. Just Google or search for addHomelink to Ford. Here are the results for the Edge and the Explorer. The Explorer forums have more posts and info. https://www.google.com/search?q=add+homelink+to+ford+edge&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&channel=sb#rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=sb&q=ford+edge+homelink https://www.google.com/search?q=add+homelink+to+ford+edge&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&channel=sb#rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=sb&q=ford+explorer+homelink&revid=1654082398

Back up camera - guide lines have disappeared!
ls973800 replied to Islhrbr's topic in 2011 Edge & MKX
You didn't list what year your Edge is so I didn't know which owner's manual to look up. I looked at the one for the 2011 model year, and those guidelines can be turned on or off in your vehicle settings. Try looking again in your owner's manual under rear view camera and see if it is listed. -
Chilton 2007-13 Ford Edge Manual available
ls973800 replied to Rocky Mtn Brutus's topic in Mods & Tech
For the cost, they are better than nothing. I have been able to find torque information for various repairs I've done by checking Haynes/Chilton manuals. It is a lot better than just guessing and ending up with overtightened or undertightened nuts or bolts on critical components. There are also free on line sources where you can view those manuals, so you don't even have to buy them many times. -
Most of the time, there is no need to remove the caliper if you just want to see how much brake pad is remaining. The wheel will have to come off though. Calipers have an opening or "window" which allows you to see the pads and the edge of the rotor. This will give you a good idea of how much pad is remaining. You can even measure them to see exactly how much is left.

MapQuest Send To Car Button Gone?
ls973800 replied to ls973800's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Just wanted to update that the SEND button is now actually sending the address to my car (or Services where it actually goes first). One of the Ford monitors over on the SYNC board had checked into it and said there was an issue which she reported. She never did answer if she had to report it to Ford or to Mapquest. -
Make sure that you are actually starting with a full tank each time. Some Edges including my 2013 Limited will kick the auto-fill gas pump off every time with 2.5-3 gallons still being able to be pumped. I have to slowly squeeze in the last few gallons and the pump will still kick off 3, 4, or more times even slowly filling it. Done it since day one of purchase. Compare your fuel used if you have that option in the settings with what you are actually putting in. Might be the reason for the low fuel range.

For the last three weeks, I have been getting MPG of 6-7 more than ever in the past. Just drove 350 miles at a steady 65 MPH except for a few pedal to the metal passing moments. My 3.5 2013 Edge was getting an average of 32.4 MPG for the entire trip! Hand calculated was within a .5 MPG. I went 560 miles before filling up, and even then I still had fuel range showing, not low fuel! Best in the past was 26 MPG. Around town I have seen an increase of the same 6 MPG or more. Whats different? Just moved from the Dallas area to the Cleveland area. Must be a better grade of gas, or no ethanol content in it. The pumps do state up to 10% ethanol. I have used Shell, BP, and Sams Club gas and have gotten the same general increase in MPG compared to just a month ago before the move, or even for the period of the last two years living in Dallas.

MapQuest Send To Car Button Gone?
ls973800 replied to ls973800's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Yes, after typing the way it works, I realized it does get sent to a server first. I will contact them tomorrow if they have support in place, otherwise it will be Monday. The GM we just got also works the same way, directions uploaded to OnStar, contact them, and the directions downloaded to the car. -
MapQuest Send To Car Button Gone?
ls973800 replied to ls973800's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
I have always sent the directions from Mapquest to the car when it hasn't been running. That is how it is set up because the directions actually go to the Ford Sync Service. When I start the car, I have to contact Services using the voice option or dialing them from the phone. Once the call connects, I am told Mapquest has sent directions, do I wish to download them? If I say yes, they are downloaded to the navigation. Sounds like maybe Services aren't receiving the request from Mapquest. I'll try the master reboot and also contact Services to see if they are having a problem. No problem with my account as I have used Services for other actions. Has anyone done the Mapquest download in the last day or two like akirby asked? Any problems? -
MapQuest Send To Car Button Gone?
ls973800 replied to ls973800's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Tried IE and Firefox, doesn't work from either. Mapquest appears to work because like I said, it sent the same directions to the OnStar Navigation but won't for the SYNC. Rules out most except something on Ford servers or the car electronics? There was one time a few months ago I had tried downloading directions using the Ford services while in the car. They would not download. Speaking to customer care at that time, I had to reboot in order to get it to work. I had used the flashdrive USB reboot app that I tried using this time. I have a message posted over on the SYNC specific board also. Perhaps I'll try the hard reboot unless I hear something different. -
MapQuest Send To Car Button Gone?
ls973800 replied to ls973800's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Revisiting this post because of a new problem. I had finally solved the problem of not being able to send the Mapquest directions to the car. I am running Adblock plus and that was somehow preventing the SEND button to work. Once I disabled it on the page, everything worked as it should for the last six months or so. Now once again the SEND button doesn't send to Sync. All it does it "spin". I have made sure Adblock is still turned off for that page. My wife has a GM and it does send to OnStar for her navigation with no problem. I tried a reboot using the reboot application which I have on a USB drive. This supposedly reboots but doesn't lose any favorites or settings. Still can not send to Sync. Any ideas what changed in the last week or so? Everything was working well around the beginning of the month. -

Go to this site, click on "Vehicle" in the top left hand side of the page, and see what your vehicle was built with after you put in your VIN. http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do Or put your VIN number into this website and see if it pulls the original factory sticker with all of the standard and optional equipment your vehicle was built with. http://researchmaniacs.com/VIN-Number-Lookup/WindowSticker/Ford.html -
WTB - used factory vertical running lights (front)
ls973800 replied to kiltedrunner's topic in Classifieds
I have a set from my 2013 Edge. I would sell them for $40.00 for the pair, but I'm not sure about the shipping or any other charges to Canada. I would be mailing them from Ohio, ZIP code 44077.
