  1. As much as I love fogs I am going to wait a few years till the warrenty is over to install them...$400 is to much for fogs at this point.... Matthew
  2. Hi all, Well my wife is determined to lead me to an early grave.....she drove over some fresh paint that had fallen off the back of some truck and now the sides of my brand new 2010 Edge is covered in nice Lime Green paint. ....I was able to get the paint of the doors (with my finger nails) but my splash gaurds and bottom door trip is covered in paint too. How to I get those pieces off to wash them??? Thanks, Matthew
  3. They look great and I would love to get one for my Edge but my wife doesnt trust me "screwing" around with "her" toy.... Matthew
  4. I agree 100%! My dad drives a 1966 Ford F-100 still running strong! He also has a 1990 Lincoln Towncar that runs great, my sister has a 2005 Escape with no problems (and she is a terrible driver), my brother had a 1995 Ranger that he put 200,000 miles on with minimal work needed, I have a 1985 Mustang 150,000 miles no problems, my 1995 Mustang has a 135,000 miles and the only problem I had with that is a blown headgasket....Ford makes great cars and trucks but no one is perfect...sometimes things just dont work perfectly. Matthew
  5. Can anymore scan and post the letter they get? I will be taking my 2010 SE in soon for a check up and want to talk to them about it. Thanks, Matthew
  6. Looks like a Zebra on speed....dont like the grill.. Mathew
  7. They do not work. They are a waist of time, and do not give you any more power. Matthew
  8. I wish my wife wanted car parts for Christmas!!!! She wont let me touch HER new Edge....plus I think it would void my warrenty if I add the exhaust I want to... Matthew
  9. The only thing about SS brake lines I would watch out for is that they do have a bad habit of losening after time and you run into the risk of them coming off completely. I have them on my Mustang and have to check them every few months to make sure they are still tight. Matthew
  10. I didnt think they would make any diffrence with me (I could take them or leave them) but now that I have them on my 2010 I relize how important they are. And my wife loves them as she is short and cant see out the back as well so they help her alot. Matthew
  11. So glad Im not alone in thinking the lights were set really low... Matthew
  12. So I want to add foglights to my 2010 SE. Questions are - does the SE come wtih pigtails already behind the bumper so all you have to do is add a fuse, OEM switch, and the lights themselves? Or am I SOL on this one? And, no, I dont want aftermarket lights, OEM if possible. Thanks, Matthew
  13. I am really looking at the Ford Black grill replacement. Im not a chrome fan so I would like to see what a black grill would look like with a silver edge. Please dont do the billiet grill (it is your car though so its your call), I dont think they look good at all Matthew
  14. I have Silver Star Ultras in my Mustang for both the headlights and foglights with no problems. Matthew
  15. I agree with most of you regarding doing work myself. But in the case of my Edge i didnt pay an extra $3,500 (waht it works out top over the next 5 years) to do that work myself. I dont know if any of you purchased the "gas and Go" warrenty like I did, but I bought that just so I dont have to worry about maintanance issues. I have enough of those with my Mustang. I dont need another car I have to worry about. Matthew
  16. The above problem is common with Ford. And when I say "above" I mean Ford getting something wrong with the first two years a new car (and engine) is in production they have not worked out all the kinks. For example; my 95 Mustang was a 2nd year production. It wasnt until 4 years after the 1994-1995 3.8 L engine was out until they (Ford) relized that EVERY single 1994-1995 3.8L Mustang has had the head gaskets installed backwards. My headgaskets finally blew with 140,000 miles on them. Im glad I waited until 2010 to buy my Esge as they should have worked out any problems by now. But to you that are having a problem now, just be glad its under warrenty as my car wasnt covered because Ford didnt have the same warrenty plans they do now and its costing me around 3,000 to have my car fixed. But Ford isnt the only one with these types of problems. Almost every car manufactuor has these problems with cars. Matthew
  17. So far my Edge gets 21 MPG. I am very happy with that. Would I like it higher? Heck yeah. But I also remember that I drive a 4 door SUV (IMO) that has great pick up speed and that I dont worry about my familys saftey in the event of a colision. THose facts make me happy with "only" getting 21 MPG. Matthew
  18. Congrates on the car. We just bought one for my wife as she needed to have something to haul our 2 kids (1 year old, 4 year old) around in and so far she loves it! What color did you get? Matthew
  19. Shot in the dark. But it almost sounds as if the battery didnt have a solid connection from the factory. If the connections isnt good then the battery wouldnt have a good chance to fully charge while the car is running. Almost like the factory didnt tighten either the positive or negitive connetion wires fully. Or it could just be a lemon from the factory. I havent had any problems yet, but this will be in my mind if I have any problems like this. Matthew
  20. My 2010 SE has the speakers in the rear view mirror. My wife and I have had no problem at all with out system. We both the the Verizon LG Touch and I have to turn the vol down to about 2 because I can hear her so well when she calls me, or when I call her. Matthew
  21. Just have to say that both my wife and I both LOVE the light blue (dont know name) that came on the 2010 Edge Sport and wanted that color on our Edge but didnt need the sport so couldnt get it. Oh well. Again just wanted to give props to Ford, and anyone that has the light Blue color. Matthew
  22. Let me put my fire suit on before I say this. Ok. Well if you dont like how this feels why did you buy the car? Now, Im not trying to be a dick, by any means, I am just saying. When I test drove my Edge I made sure I liked driving it, I made sure that I was comfortable while driving. I understand what you are saying about hte headrest. I felt the same way when I first drove the Edge but I was reasured by the fact that I could ajust the seat either up or down, front or back, and change the incline to a spot that I found that I could drive with no problems. It did take me a while to find that perfect sweet spot, but I was able to find it. Again, I am not trying to ruffle anybodys feathers; Im just saying. Matthew
  23. I have not had my Edge for that long, but I am no stranger to Fords. The Edge users manuel stts not to do a oil change for 7000-8000 miles. Also, based on the deal that you get Ford offers no cost maintnance for 3 years on all new vechicles, maybe something you should look into. But being that you are buying as a fleet it might be diffrent. I would talk to Ford about that before you do any work 1. that will cost you (or your company) money that you dont need to spend, and 2. dont want to worry about voiding your warrenty by doing the work youself. Good luck! Matthew
