accent Report post Posted July 5, 2014 I set the torque to 15 lb ft then started turning the plug back to the oil pan. Because the torque wrench didn't click, I kept turning it until I turned the head of the oil drain plug. How to get the broken plug out? Will the extracting tool work? akirby Report post Posted July 5, 2014 Should work. You don't need to use a torque wrench - just make sure it's nice and tight.
accent Report post Posted July 5, 2014 just took it out. maybe it was the oil, the broken bolt was very lose and I was able to turn it using screw driver and fingernails then took it out using a plier.
fishx65 Report post Posted July 6, 2014 Very cool it came right out. Maybe have your wife or/and girlfriend torque it next time!!!!
WWWPerfA_ZN0W Report post Posted July 12, 2014 Get a good quality torque wrench! Many out there are pure junk.
