Replacing original 20" Pirelli Scorpion STR Tires...what do you recommend?

I am preparing to replace the original 20" Pirelli Scorpion STR's on my 2011 Edge and am curious what other owners are rolling with and what replacement tires they are recommending. I was considering the Bridgestone Ecopia's though the rep at a local tire store was recommending Yokahoma YK580's.

I also have a 2011 Edge with the 20" wheels but the Pirelli's caused my car to drift to the right. After driving 4 other new 2011's with 20's and Pirelli's on the lot just after I bought it, the GM at our dealership replaced my tires with 4 Michelins and the problem has never returned. My recommendation although much more expensive than Pirelli's are Michelin's.

Good Luck!

I'm assuming you already replaced your tires as this is more than year old post. However I wanted to say that we just replaced our Pirelli Scorpion STR's with Falken Pro G4 A/S, they have great reviews and were a really good price ($140 a tire for 245/50R20). So far after 500 miles on them they are quite and have a much have a much better traction pattern for winter driving than the Scorpions did which is important for the frozen tundra in MN and IL as the OP.

I'm at around 65,500 miles on the original Pirelli's, and have been very satisfied. I would consider going back to them as a replacement, but as always, I'll do my research.

Andy - would you mind updating your review when you get a few thousand miles on the Falken's? Thanks.

I bought a set of General G-Max AS-03 (all season) for my wife's Camaro, and have been happy with them over the OEM Pirelli P-Zero's (summer tire). I realize it's apples/oranges with the Edge vs Camaro, but I will see what they offer.
