macbwt
I have never had that problem. You may want to get it checked out. That 3.5 is a pretty good engine.
ls973800
Most of the time it is an indication of a bad oil pressure sensor. Have you checked your oil level to make sure it is at the correct level? That should be your very first step!
Subaruglenn
Hey thanks for the response I did forget to mention that I was just listening to the radio with the engine off
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Is it the oil change reminder light on by any chance? That needs to be reset every time the oil is changed. What you are referring to would be this: Engine oil pressure (RTT):Illuminates when the oil pressurefalls below the normal range, referto Engine oil in the Maintenanceand Specifications chapter. akirby
Hey thanks for the response I did forget to mention that I was just listening to the radio with the engine off Ignore any lights like that unless the engine is running.
Waldo
Hey thanks for the response I did forget to mention that I was just listening to the radio with the engine off Yep, my wife called me up in a panic once for this same reason. Just like any vehicle, the oil pressure light will come on when the ignition is in "ON" and the engine is not running. DIfference in the Edge is that it pops up a big message in the cluster instead of just the small red light that you might be used to.
