Stumped.

Having problems with the wife's 2010 edge limited AWD. It says p0355 coil "e" primary/ secondary malfunction. I first, changed just the coil on cylinder E (5) middle front, and it ran decent with no MIL. 1200 miles later, same code. Changed plug as well, no difference.

Today, I just changed all coil packs and spark plugs, cleaned the throttle body and upper intake manifold thoroughly.

Same code.

I have a new PCM on the way (so they say) . I looked for vacuum leaks and couldn't see anything. Couldn't find loose connections either.

Anyone have any other suggestions as to what to test and or try? Thanks in advance!

Thanks lol. I am going to have to once the new PCM comes in to have it programmed to the keys. The scanner says that the temps are all out of wack. Has 0 misfiring just rough idle. Just seeing if there was anything problematic that they are known for that I am overlooking. The plugs I changed were original apparently, with 156,000 on them! Bad shape!

Side note, I love vehicle forums! Saved me literally thousands!

Disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes or so. Connect the battery and let her idle for about 15-20 minutes. After that drive her around for a 10-20 miles not overly slow but not hard.   I believe that she has to relearn the idle after changing the plugs, and cleaning the throttle body and intake manifold.

Update

I drove it 1 mile and decided not to go any further. New PCM came in and I hauled it via trailer to dealership to have it reprogrammed. It's runs great now! I'm happy to have under $500 into everything from the new PCM, new coils, plugs, and new intake manifold gaskets, and programming. Thank everyone for the help/ input :)
