'18 Edge Titanium FordPass Connect?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm new to the form and new to my 2018 Ford Edge Titanium! Love the car but have run into some frustration trying to enable FordPass Connect to remote start my car from my phone.

I've downloaded the app, disabled Apple CarPlay, added my car, opened the FordPass App, but it's not showing the pop-up that "Allows" your phone to connect.

I'm beginning to wonder if my car has the FordPass Connect modem. I see that its standard on 2019 Edge Titaniums, but can't find anywhere that shows if it comes with 2018s. Or maybe I'm not connecting it right. Any help is appreciated!

It does 'not' come standard on 2018 models according to Ford's 'FordPass' page: https://owner.ford.com/fordpass/fordpass-sync-connect.html
It's my understanding owners of many '17 and later Ford vehicles can purchase the system separately from your Ford dealer.

I'm attaching a Monroney sticker from a '19 Edge so you can see where it would be noted on your '18 if you had it (it's in red):
