DNBush Posted yesterday at 06:42 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:42 PM Car is over five years old so I'm thinking it's probably good to replace the original factory battery. Question is, what does every one think is the best replacement? I understand that it should be an H6 or Group 48 AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery but beyond that I'm not sure what the best choice would be. I know I could go right to my local Ford dealer but I suspect that might be the most expensive option. What should I do?
1004ron Posted yesterday at 08:42 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:42 PM I would go with the H6 AGM Everstart Platinum from Walmart. Be sure to reset your battery monitoring and select a new battery code if you change size and type.

Regarding the reset of the battery monitor, the second step says "Turn ignition switch to on (don't start car). Wait 10 seconds." In a car like my 2020 where it's a push button, does that correspond to pushing the button once with the foot off the break?
