Left side screen, I think it was called remote unlocking and the choices are drivers door or all doors. I have mine on all doors, so a touch of the drivers or passengers door unlocks all doors. M.

The lincoln has 3 settings, so i'm sure the edge will retain the 2 settings. M.

I put my 1st aid kit with the spare tire, along with booster cables, and a emergency road kit, some gloves, flashlight, batteries for the light, and some ties etc.. M.

I already received the mailer saying that users will be mailed flash drives (I'm in toronto, canada).. so it sounds like your getting the 2.11 update which has been out for quite some time. M.

Thats good news, I hope they hurry up and get the software out. I've had my car since Oct 2010 with some minor issues, however for the most part it's been working ok, but I look foward to updated maps and performance improvements. M.

Was the car purchased in canada? In canada we don't get traffic, so i'm curious to how your seeing it in AB, i've had my 2011 edge since Oct 2010 (in ontario) and have never seen any traffic on it, I know you need a subscription however since traffic wasn't available from Sirius Canada I never bothered with a subscription. M.

I tag all the music properly, and then dump them into the root of the USB drive. it seems to have less issues and work faster as there is no overhead of having folders for each album when I only have 1-2 songs from a particular album. MFT doesn't seem to care about the folder or filenames, just the tag information in the .mp3 files, however all my files are named with a"lbum - artist - song name.mp3" M.

I have a 2011 LTD with no block heater, but it was a option, I just didn't order mine with it. M.

I usually just press the ok button twice on the right hand control(at least thats what I think I do, it's become automatic), seems to work fine, using the right hand steering control, no delay. M.

My FWD limited built Oct 2010 also has 2.. Not that I think there's much of a difference between 1 or two.. M.

In my dad's aftermarket system(on a corolla), when you remote start you unlock the car with the keyfob, sit in the drivers seat, insert the key into the car and place it in the ON position(don't crank the car but put it in the ON position) then press the brake and shift into drive/reverse and just go.. Car never turns off unless you forget to put the key in and move it to he ON position. M.

Are you sure it's not power? My Limited 2011 has a power seat on the passenger side(4 or 6 way not sure), the thing that isn't power is the fold flat feature, (theres a single manual handle for that) and from what I hear the 2012 doesn't fold flat anymore. (folding it flat is actually very handy you will be able to fit lumber etc inside with the hatch closed. M.

From my experience the yellow i means there is a message which is not read. I know when if you don't sub to sirius and try and use it, it will popup a message which says you don't have a sub. after that until you click the yellow i, and read the message the i stays yellow. Once you've read the message it turns white again. Also if you turn off bluetooth on sync, it will show you yellow i as it has a message which says bluetooth if off, until you read that message it stays yellow. M.

Good to hear a Canadian got some sort info regarding the rewrite. I haven't received anything, If they are not sending us USB keys, i'm guessing we are also out of luck for updated Maps? not sure if there was any mention of updated maps for Canadians, however I think the SD card must be the same as the U.S. as it covers North America if I'm not mistaken. if would be nice if they could make the download available for us to install it ourselves... Taking it to the dealer is a hassle. M.

I think that's def a possibility, I got my edge in oct 2010 with 1.8 i've since upgraded to 2.8 and then 2.11 (self install) however I rarely had issues besides the system being sluggish. very rarely the phone will not pair but that clears up usually after a stop/shutdown. I originally had a Blackberry Curve 8320 and then replaced that with a blackberry curve 9300, and I currently have both phones paired (wife took the old phone) I do have a 16 GB USB key plugged in with music on it which works fine. When I was on version 1.8 the shuffle music didn't work (it would play the same songs each time it shuffled the shuffling wasn't random(That's been fixed since 2.8 for me) I did try the video playback once (worked fine for me) I would consider myself techie (been in the biz for 20 years) I am looking forward to the update, hopefully us Canadians don't get stiffed. M.

I had the fronts tinted, they removed the paste on stickers, sirus, etc, but the etched VIN and ford logo were tinted over. My last car was a civic and the tink lasted around 10 years before the 1st bubble, so I'm not that concerned, if it lasts 8 years I can have the tint removed and redone as it's only two windows... M.

Try a fuse pull, if that doesn't allow the art to display you can try a master reset to delete the index, that way it rebuilds from scratch when you plug it back into the car. M.

Gracenotes has to be off to see embedded mp3 album art. I found anything above 500x500 resolution does not display. M.

I did the 1st one at approx 10,000 kms (approx 6200 miles, very early oil life was still at 50%) next one at approx 25000 kms (about 15,000 miles) and it still showed 17% oil life left. Had the car since oct 2010. M.

You can also pull the molex (white connector on the right side of the fuse box) connector which is connected to the whole fuse panel(still hard to get to, but easier than pulling a single fuse), there are youtube videos showing you how in case it's messed up so much it won't reboot with the USB reboot. M.

There is a fuse puller.. it's the piece of gray plastic inside the inner cover which covers the fuses.. M.

Just a thought, but on the left hand screen in vehicle settings is the power liftgate set to enabled? M.

I wish we got all the perks, We don't get any of the sync features, no travellink, no weather, no traffic, no movies etc.. none of those features are available in Canada, most consumer electronics are the same as well. They have features stripped out before it hits Canada, so we get screwed as the features we read about on the Internet for most products show us whats available in the U.S. and not what we get when we actually spend more for the same product in Canada... not to mention the 13% tax here..
