  1. "For my heated seat. I feel like with remote start and turning the engine on, the lights are on but it takes FOREVER to heat up. If I cycle through the heated seat options, it appears to heat much more quickly." We noticed that as well. Usually just turn them off when we turn the car off and if remote started turn them off first thing, wait a second then turn them back on and they work ok. Odd glitch.
  2. Keep us posted please, our doesn't do it frequently enough (or via a way to reproduce) to bother with a service call.
  3. What is your build date? If it's a programming revision I'll be all over our dealer to get that installed. Other than the occasionally flaky seat heaters it's my only gripe about the vehicle.
  4. Would love to see a manuf. do at least a partially power slide up like what's in my V. (Though obviously more screen would be exposed when slid down). Just looks so ridiculous and like an afterthought. Even if they molded around with the entire screen exposed so it went into the dash like any other feature it wouldn't be as bad. Just looks like lazy design and cost cutting IMO. The rest of the vehicle looks pretty solid.
  5. I've found it most noticeably around 20-30mph. Radio off, just switch to sport mode while driving, noise-a-palooza (not in a good way).
  6. My thoughts exactly. That's even worse than Mercedes' dash that looks like the worst BestBuy stereo tech ever got to install it (after the rest of the interior was already done). Yikes.
  7. Here's hoping the Ford techs come up with a proper update to keep noise cancelling on but kill that horrid piped in sound in sport mode. Sport mode should be fun, not annoying. Everything else this did quite well on the vehicle IMO.
  8. Sadly we have not. The past week it's behaved itself and worked normally but temps have been a bit higher than before. They're due to drop in the next day so we'll test some more this coming week and see if it persists.
  9. That was the other color we considered heavily, looks great! Ours had the heated steering wheel icon on home screen as well, maybe a dealer function already done? We do have the piped in engine noise in sport mode though, sounds awful.
  10. So my wife and I have noticed on several occasions now the heated seats don't always activate. By that I mean the button lights are on but the seat doesn't warm up. I've tried finding common denominators (were the seats left on from previous use, was the car remote started/app started or just started normally, etc) and nothing there. One thing I did find was that if I press the cooled seats button then press the heated seat button they always activate. It's both front seats so it's unlikely it's a button issue, wondering if it's some kind of software glitch? Anyone else in the cold notice this on theirs by chance? Otherwise, loving the vehicle so far!

    Delivered!

How do you like them? I've never owned a set so I was curious as to how they'll hold up.

    SYNC 3 issues

I've connected to my home wifi and checked for updates several times, message keeps popping up. Annoying so I turned wifi completely off. Hopefully it gets fixed if an update ever becomes available.
  13. Yikes! I was out of the country and really hoping to see nothing but good news for you. Glad you have the vehicle back and I truly wish you well with whatever you decide (lemon law or not). You do have some time with that regard for what it's worth but hopefully it's the vehicle you anticipated from here on out!

    My New ST

I had to chuckle at the summer tires being ok for winter part knowing you're in Cali. In NE Ohio we'd get stuck backing out of our driveway Once the temp drops much below 35 my CTS-V summers become ice skates. Very good looking ride though, enjoy! That's a great color combo/setup.
  15. For what it's worth, I was one who was going in (to view the ST) expecting to suggest to my wife we look elsewhere at other options. I came away quite surprised and impressed with combination of tech/value for the dollar. It's why the ST is in our garage now and knock on wood, she's been thrilled so far. I made sure not to have any preconceived notions (regarding the ST badging or otherwise) and just compare dollar for dollar and vehicle for vehicle. Long term quality and reliability are a concern but we found a fair deal on a highly discounted extended Ford PremiumCare warranty online so we're covered as best as possible for the long term. I would suggest driving one with an open mind and make your decision that way (vs having preconceived expectations of what it should be rather than what it is).
  16. My hunch is they turbo'd (or twin turbo'd) the sport then tuned and compared to a stock, non turbo sport.
  17. I'd lean more to a defect that lead to a cascading chain of failures but either way, Ford should step up and do the right thing and replace that vehicle without a fuss. Just my 2 cents.
  18. I would just bide your time quietly, less the 30 days pass by a couple of days then begin the lemon law proceedings. It might be worth contacting attorneys now so you can have one selected. It's an unfortunate step but personally, I would not be comfortable driving a brand new vehicle that has been disassembled in that manner so quickly after purchase and especially where the repair labor is a major question. DO NOT mention lemon law to anyone at Ford or the dealership until a few days after the 30 day mark has passed. Truly wishing you the best of luck!!
  19. Correct. Z and A plans are the same from a money standpoint and offer the biggest (preset) discounts plus any incentives available and preset fees. X plan is for friends of Ford employee's or retirees and is usually around invoice, give or take, and is sometimes better than what you can negotiate and other times not (depends on the dealer and vehicle). The plans do offer the dealer more hold back money which in turn can allow them to "over allow" on trade values if they choose.
  20. Happy Thanksgiving and hope your luck turns around. Keep in mind, it's 30 days of service TOTAL (for any number of repairs) usually inside the first year, state laws depending. If you exceed it on just this issue I would press Ford for a replacement vehicle. You might have to get an attorney which is no fun (I did) but most work on retainer with fees being paid for by Ford in the end, fyi. PM me if you have any questions as I've been through this process.
  21. Congrats on the beautiful ride! We are loving ours (and Z plan pricing sure didn't hurt!) Dealer was great again and their "normal" pricing for non plan buyers is also very competitive (none of this dealer markup garbage)
  22. Hate to even bring it up since I've been through one myself but you might want to keep track of the days in service, at 30 you could qualify for lemon law. Hopefully it doesn't get to that but it sounds like it's becoming an option.
  23. Congrats and good tip on the stereo. I'm curious as to how my wife's is set as I thought it was a solid upgrade from the Sony already. Agree on not hearing the turbos at all (and on the awful piped in sound in Sport mode). I haven't driven it hard but I was surprised to not notice major lag/shift issues in hers based on reviews. Interesting.
  24. Just hang onto and be sure to get all documented paperwork with proper dates for pickup and dropoff, just in case it's needed down the road. Hopefully it's like you stated, less than ideal communication, and once corrected it's done. Our previous Edge had a leaking PTU which after repair was fine for the rest of the vehicle's life. Fingers and toes crossed for ya!
