  1. A helpful tip on the foot/rear liftgate thing that's gotten me to 100%, step in and put your foot straight in a couple inches to the left of the hitch then step straight back out a couple feet away. It has a proximity sensor so if you stay too close it won't activate. Congrats on the buy xtxman! Appreciate the update mwilson6192, please keep us posted as I'm keeping a close eye on ours to see if it's a design defect or just a one off that unfortunately you had the mispleasure of getting. I need to check our build date and see if they are close together.
  2. It definitely rides better than her 2011 Sport AWD with the 22"s (our ST has the stock 20s). I haven't driven it enough to comment on handling yet but once broken in I'll put it through the proper paces when she isn't looking
  3. Used vehicle values are at pretty solid highs but it'd be tough to eat that equity loss without a crazy trade value and immensely discounted purchase price, I agree. The color changes quite a bit based on the lighting too...at night it looks totally different than in the day and sunny vs cloudy... kind of cool. (Sorry, not to rub it in)
  4. Yeah, most of the dealers around here showed vehicles in transit for the last 3+ weeks. Shipment via snail I guess.
  5. Thanks. So far she's really enjoying and to be honest, the little I drove it I really like it. Her other one was nice but this one was truly fun to drive. Also something cool about getting a car with only 6 miles on it knowing you and the factory workers/staff who unloaded it and gassed it up are the only ones who've really driven it. It's not cheap but Z plan pricing discount was significant and the tech is just mind numbing.
  6. Wife traded her 2011 Sport in today for our new 2019 ST. I was pleasantly surprised at the improvements across the board. Performance blue, 401a with cold weather package. For those like me who didn't like the factory rims based on the pics, see them in person. For us at least, they looked totally different in person and on the car vs the pics. Truly an upgrade in every aspect.
  7. Yikes, that seems the exact opposite of how it should be. My daily is a CTS-V and it's shockingly quiet on the inside but if I open some windows the exhaust note comes through beautifully. Initially I complained to my wife the car was too quiet and she laughed since she's heard it from the outside so I had her drive it while I stood outside and got a whole new impression and appreciation for their noise cancelling. Agree that piped in fake exhaust/engine is a cop out. Hopefully that's not in play on the ST's when the radio is on otherwise I'll be investing in a forscan to turn that off provided we go with the new ST for her vehicle.
  8. Sounds like the factory workers need to put down the beverages and get crackin! My last order was 7 weeks but it's been several years... as my wife reminds me, "that was a long time ago". lol
  9. 10 week delivery seems longer than previous orders, wonder what the hold up at the factory has been. Even our local dealers only have 1 ST delivery (out of about 10 dealers). As long as they get it built right guess it doesn't matter tho Enjoy yours, that blue color looks great in the few real pics I've seen.
  10. excellent, thank you. Makes me more excited to check it out. Like the looks of those rims and they appear to be designed so they aren't a giant PITA to keep clean. (Not that the factory ones look like they would be either). Might have to invest in a Forscan to shut that piped in engine noise off if we get one. We'd be coming from a 2011 Sport AWD so I'm hoping for improvements across the board. Thanks again!
  11. It definitely looks good in pics. Any chance you can post a close up of the black rims on yours? Also, anything that took you by surprise (good or bad) about the vehicle? We are considering an ST, the Nautilus and a Caddy XT5.
  12. Ohio must be having theirs delivered by mule As for price, I'm not concerned, we get Z plan pricing so that's set, just a matter of negotiating the trade in value of our existing vehicle. Would be nice to see one in person, keep being told by the end of the month at every dealer within 50 miles.
  13. I'm stunned you found one on the lot. NONE of the dealers around here have a single one in inventory yet, just ordered/transit for several weeks now.
  14. I beg to differ. The brakes on my CTS-V work every bit as well in winter as they do in the summer and it's far from a light vehicle. Granted, they are WAY more expensive than what's on the ST but it's certainly possible. Now, the tires on the other hand, they go hide and my couch cushion / marshmallow blizzaks come out once it dips into the 30s.
  15. Exactly, plus, sometimes reviewers and I view things quite differently. Just waiting to hear from our local dealer when they take inventory of an ST.
  16. Interesting that they admit it's not quite there but f it, we'll still release it. lol If they had a great history of post purchase software updates/support included I'd be excited but at least from our personal experience, that's not been the case.
  17. Hopefully pre-production or if not, hopefully enough negative press will result in a correction at the factory before release.
  18. So far the only disappointment I've read is the turbo lag. Not sure why in today's day and age they let that slip through the tuning and into the final product. I don't have confidence that Ford will release/update the code to correct it with existing models (maybe adding/changing it down the line a year or two but leaving existing owners screwed). It appears the looks and most of the touch/feel items have been improved which is nice.
  19. I don't hate the stock rims as much as I thought I would but the blacks do look much better.
  20. Thanks for the update! I'm anxious to see one on the lot before deciding our next vehicle so shouldn't be too much longer.
  21. Uhh, hello? How am I supposed to check my phone while using a laptop and drinking my starbucks and finish getting myself ready for work while driving without those features?
  22. Agree with the above. They look like a smaller variant of my wife's 22"s on her Sport now.
  23. Thanks for the pics and video. I don't hate them but they look like Kia wheels to me for some reason. Any update on start build dates?
  24. Agreed though the Yokohama's we replaced them with on our Sport have been much better. Definitely agree with the posts above, re: the ST standard wheels. Will wait and have to see them in person I guess because from the pics, ugh.
