Also the interior door lock button will not allow the vehicle to lock if there is a fob inside. So you can't lock the fob inside the vehicle unless you have a second fob or you have the keypad code and use the keypad. So the valet can't do it. Either way make sure you have your own code programmed for the keypad or remember the factory code so if it ever does happen you can unlock the door immediately. You are never locked out with a keypad.

Usually not until the new ones hit the dealer lots, although since the changes are minimal it might be sooner. You may be able to see the new colors on other 2017 models that are already out.

Edge vs. Santa Fe Sport vs Sorento - update
akirby replied to mjonis's topic in Competing Crossovers & Vehicles
So I take it you're not an impulse buyer? -
Use what the OM says and what's on the oil cap but yes it should be 5W-20. I would recommend sticking with the factory synthetic blend - most dealerships have quick oil change lanes just like the other places. If you go somewhere else they'll use whatever you pay for. They may have the motorcraft synthetic blend. If you go with regular oil instead of synthetic or synthetic blend I would reduced the IOLM oil life to 70% when you reset it (if possible) or change it at 30% just to be safe.

I guess puddle lamps could be anywhere but most are on the bottom of the mirror for more coverage and the wiring is already there. I don't think the Edge lights up the door handles but not 100% sure. I know the MKX has the approach lights that come on when the fob is within about 15 feet and that includes the door handle lights as well as a Lincoln logo that shines down from the puddle lamps.
-
Sorry - I thought he was asking if the proximity lights were called puddle lamps. I was just trying to clarify the difference between the puddle lamps on the edge which only light up when the fob is pressed and the Lincoln approach lighting which is a proximity sensor and also includes the door handles.

Just remember every dealer is an independent business - doesn't matter that they all have a Ford sign out front. Ford has no control over their business practices. So just because one dealer says $4900 doesn't mean another dealer won't give you a much cheaper alternative. If the roof is intact I can't believe it would cost $4900.

That would explain why there is no fluid change recommendation.
-
It's been mentioned a few times - I think it evens out with wear. I would try a few hard stops from 60 mph or so (safely of course - check traffic). FWIW I don't recall having that problem on our 2016 MkX.
-
If it was the thermostat then the engine would be running cold and the heater hoses would not be hot. Sounds like both blend doors are staying on cold so it could be the controller. Doubtful both blend doors failed at the same time.
-
Oh I agree in your particular case - it was more of a general question. I'm thinking your dealer has a power flush machine, not the one that just swaps the fluid.
-
The advantage is the machine will change 95% of the fluid including the torque converter. Even a 3x drain and refill is only going to get 60%-75% at best.
-
Lesson learned - any time you change any of the suspension components - get it aligned or you're asking for trouble.
