I thought it might but wasn't 100% sure.

There is a manual override to take the car out of park if the battery is dead. Same as current ones - you can't shift out of park if the brake shift interlock isn't powered so there is a manual override. It's in the owner's manual. One thing you get with the selector (and Lincoln push buttons) is that it will automatically put the vehicle in park when you turn it off. Not really a safety concern. Might be more safe.

Dealer can pull up the repair history in Oasis. Sometimes it’s just a bad dealer who doesn’t know to fix the problem correctly.

Won’t make a noticeable difference. How many miles?

It’s the server. It’s affecting multiple forums. Robert is working on it. -
If your aftermarket plug leaks and the engine seizes up there is no way Ford is going to cover that.

I didn't think there would be a big take rate. Not surprising.

First - it’s not really a brand new vehicle. It’s been sitting on the lot for almost a year. That’s why it was $3k cheaper. Unless there was some type of flooding at the dealership (which I doubt) that is normal for a 1 year old vehicle sitting outside. Because it’s not being driven there was no engine heat to dry things off so it rusted a little faster but still looks like normal surface rust to me.

I think they did away with the option to set a custom interval many years ago. Had it on my 06 Fusion but not the later vehicles,

Nothing formal but point out the offenders and I'll take a look.

Well they do need to have symptoms to get Ford to pay for the update.
-
Depends on how they're taking it out and where they put it back in. If it uses the transmission cooler lines they don't mix.
-
It's a software update and I would absolutely ask that it be done prior to delivery. They can't do it until the vehicle is sold. Just say that you noticed some poor shifting on the test drive - that should be all they need to do it.
-
Do you mean the accelerator and BRAKE pedal? There are plenty of aftermarket solutions for that, just google it. Ford doesn't offer those. Have you tried adjusting the seat and steering wheel as far forward as possible?

I know but folks see that video and think that's how the actual car will look. And Ford sure doesn't mention that in the video.

Yes the 2.7 has a plastic pan. So does my 2018 F150 3.5LEB. I think they switched back to metal on the 2019 F150. The issue is variation in the block but as long as they follow the repair procedure properly it's a permanent fix. But apparently not all the dealers are doing it properly. On a side note I love being able to do oil changes with no tools and I can modulate the oil drainage initially by how far I pull out the plastic plug - and it doesn't spill on my hand or the suspension.

That’s not the car. It’s a test mule.

Knock it off.

LOL people who can’t admit they’re wrong, They only updated the RWD version, not the Transverse version. You can see it in the torque. The 2nd gen has about 25 more hp than the 1st gen. The 2019 Edge ST has the same power as the 2015-18 sport.

Most of the colors can be found on other vehicles like Explorer which should be in stock at dealers now with pics.
