  1. Joe, it's an online mistake so make sure you order them online, pay with Paypal or CC and do instore pickup. Pretty sure if ya just walk into a store to purchase them they will ring up at full price.
  2. I'm 48170. Just picked up 6 5qt jugs for $31.98!!!!! Guys at store were a little shocked and new it was a price mistake. Gonna go pickup the 5 more I just ordered at a different store. Think I'm set for oil changes for a few years!!!! Also, I've been ordering my 500s oil filters from Advanced for a while. I think they are just under 4 bucks each with coupon codes when you order them 4 or 5 at a time. Thanks again WWW!!!
  3. Thanks WWW!!! I just used Paypal and ordered 6 for instore pickup. Lets see what happens. This is obviously a huge price mistake!!!!
  4. I've installed lots of auxillary lighting in many trucks over my many years of life. One thing I've learned is that the wiring is the most important part of having a trouble free and durable aftermarket lighting setup. I've also read many horror stories over on Hidplanet about trying to get away with using factory wiring or cheap harnesses with HID kits. Our Edges factory wiring seems to work just fine with 35 watt kits but could be getting damaged over time. The reason I built my own harness was I wanted 14 gauge wires cut to the proper length along with a waterproof fuse and relay. Could be overkill but it's easy to do and durability was my number one concern. Sorry, I didn't take an pics during the install and everything is out of sight now. I know lots of others on here have been using HIDs a lot longer then me. How's everyone else's holding up these days?????
  5. 2011 SEL. Back in July I installed a set of DDM 35/5000 HIDs. I built a custom harness and waterproofed everything. I drive a ton on rural roads at night and have been thrilled to death with their performance and durability. They really are an awesome lighting upgrade for the 2011 and up Edges. They are so inexpensive that I'm gonna go ahead and order another 35/5000 DDM kit just incase they ever bite the dust.
  6. Lots of Taurus's had this exact same problem dating back to 2001. I had a 2004 Taurus with this problem that drove me frickin crazy!!!! The switch is part of the inner door latch system so ya gotta replace the whole thing when they go bad (Not a fun job). Hope this never happens to my 11 SEL.
  7. My 2011 SEL is the same way. Maybe they are aimed that way on purpose to avoid blinding oncoming traffic? Only way I can think of to adjust them horizontally would be to pull the whole assembly and try to shim one side.
  8. I would do a search and see if you can find anyone who has put them in the halogen reflectored 2010 or older Edges. HIDs seem to work really well in the later Edge's projectors but I would guess that they don't function well in the older reflectors. Kits are pretty cheap these days so it's probably worth a try. If the beam does not function well or blinds oncoming traffic you can always sell or pitch them and go back to halogens. I would stay away from the "Racer Boy" blue tint cuz it can kill the lumens. Even my DDM 5000K's are a little to far on the blue side.
  9. M, looks like you just mounted them infront of the lower grille insert? How did you attach them and do they get the dreaded shake while driving down bumby roads? Been wanting to do this for a long time since my 2011 is now my Northern Michigan bowhunting vehicle. My 35/5000 HIDs have been fantastic in the woods but I could really use more side illumination from a set of foggers. Just about clipped one of those SUICIDAL DEERS the other night while heading back downstate!!!!
  10. Anyone try the Yokohama Avid Envigor or the Continental Cross-contact LX20's. These two seem to get the best reviews on Tirerack. My experience with Continental in the past has not been good but things may have changed in the last 10 years.
  11. Wish I would have done this on my 2011 when I got it. Mine gets nicks and scratches by just looking at it!!! It's a great idea on a daily driver.
  12. There is a pic on here somewhere of someone with a very cool set of Nerf Bars. I think Nerfs look way better then boards.
  13. Back years ago I had those dark tinted AVS tail light covers on a 1995 Explorer. Was sitting at a red light and got nailed by some guy driving an Escort. I should have gotten a ticket but nobody said anything about the shades. The guy was a little drunk and was taken for an ambulance ride wearing a kneck brace.
  14. I would try to run them without the relay harness. I had a cheap harness that was to long and the wire gauge was way to thin to run both ballasts. If it works fine without the harness, I would still purchase a quality harness or rebuild your cheap harness with 14 gauge wire. I ran my 35 watt kit off the stock wires for about a week before installing my rebuilt cheapo harness.
  15. I wish I would have put that Clear-Bra stuff on my 2011 chrome grill when I got it. After 20,000 miles, mine is showing lots of little chips.
  16. Very good post that most can learn from. My 11 FWD SEL does about the same. The idiot gauge just showed me 28.3 when I got back from a 478 mile highway trip. Any vehicle can get better mpg if ya know how to drive for it. I kinda make it into a game to see how well I can do. Been keeping her over 22 in the city!!!!
  17. I also have a 2011 Mediterranean Blue SEL. Why don't you use mine instead of yours for these modifications!!!!!!!! Looks like she's gonna be really nice!
  18. Anyone else have the little trim piece around the hatch handle come up? It just popped out on one side for no reason and I can't get it to snap back in. Thinking a clip broke inside. Gonna take it in when I get a chance but just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed a problem.
  19. Seems like the best of each type of product is made by different brands. There are a few companies that come close to a "One stop shop" like Zaino and Duragloss. So far, I've liked every Duragloss product that I've tried. I think the best approach is to read lots of reviews on the many detailing forums online.
  20. Maybe stiff or firm would be a better description. Driving on Michigan roads is a really good test for any suspension. The roads are so bad here that I've noticed my 2011 Edge is starting to get some dash rattles with less then 20,000 miles on her. My 2010 Edge was definitely tuned for a much smoother ride. I love my 11 but wish she was tuned for a softer ride.
  21. No doggy here but I picked up a nice soft pet liner that I use more then I thought I would. Gives me full coverage with the seats folded down and came with a nice carrying case. Works great for my many hunting and fishing adventures! I picked mine up at Meijer but I would think most big pet stores would have some nice ones.
  22. The cloth seats in my 2011 SEL are some of the most comfortable I've ever had. Soft with great lower back support. Awesome for someone like me with a bad lower back.
  23. A, you must never have owned an F150 or Explorer. After the balljoints failed, I always replaced them with greaseable Moogs. It is possible to stop a factory balljoint from squeaking with a grease needle after they are dry but by then it's usually to late. Old grease kinda turns into a thick mud-like substance that doesn't lubricate very well.
  24. Agree with the jittery ride but the Edge having "pronounced road noise" is a ridiculous claim. I've driven the Highlander, Murano and CX-9 and they all have much more road noise then my 11 SEL. Maybe they tested it on a gravel road!!!!!
  25. How durable is that stuff? Sun fade, bugs, washings and rock chips.
