  1. I've never hit it. Do you have frankenfingers or something?
  2. They're just white backlit. They're cool, and I have them, but don't bother shelling out the dough for them.
  3. Yes to all of that. You can even tell it to find you ice cream. My only real bitch is that some POIs that I look for aren't in it. All I have to do is go through Services. I actually think it's WAY easier to put in a specific destination through Services. It knows all of the POIs and even addresses that the standalone nav may not. Services sends it to your nav, which then takes over. I actually like it very much.
  4. Depends on the iPod. For the iPod Photo and the 2nd and 3rd gen nano, it was one cord, and a different one for the others. Just use the one that came with it to verify that it works before experimenting with different cords.
  5. Try the other port, or try again. I've tried my iPod Photo, and 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th gen nanos. All of them work if used with the right cord.
  6. Ummmmmmm... Why not just plug the usb charging cord into the Edge?
  7. Yup. There's $2k in rebates, if she finances (which she did). I just put the options that you stated into Ford's site, and got a total of $35,309 for LIST PRICE. Can you get her vin number?
  8. The losing connection with phone part might be the phone. I have a Samsung Epic. It worked great with my old car and Android 2.1. Sprint pushed an upgrade to 2.2, and it all of a sudden wouldn't stay connected for any predictable amount of time. I love my epic, but this simply won't do. I even went and upgraded to a Motorola Photon (Less phone for more money in my opinion,) and it worked great. I sat there with my new phone in my hand and got more and more pissed. It worked fine, but why should I have to buy a new phone when I love my old one, paid a bunch for it, and have had it almost exactly a year? If Sprint hadn't pushed a faulty update, I'd be happy. Well, I did some investigation, and I'm now refunded on the Photon, and am using my Epic again with 2.3.4 installed. Connects every time, and stays connected. As for the delay in voice working, yes, that's normal. It takes time to load.
  9. My 2.8 only had one brain fart, and my volume knob wouldn't work for about 30 seconds.
  10. Yeah, I used aquapel on my shower walls and door. No more squeegie.
  11. Sher... I'm doubting you'll want to buy my Blacktop Pro 21?
  12. I'm sure he/she's not saying that. On that note, I won't be doing what you're doing.
  13. bbbusta... I would rather have an Edge that had to be jump-started every time than have a 96-01 Explorer again. Regardless, I whole-heartedly agree with akirby.
  14. All I've figured out about that is that it's a damned map and nothing else.
  15. Yeah, that sending to the car thing has NEVER worked for me. Google says it's sent. The radio says it's received. That's it. No more.
  16. Okay, y'all are getting too complicated. Just go in, and ask for the sales manager. Tell him which one you want and that you'll buy right then if he does a $300 gross, and you keep incentives and holdback. A $300 profit is fair for them to cover feeding their families, keeping the power on, etc. If it's not a sport, they'll usually say yes immediately and you're done. Also, don't pay for "paint protection," window etching, etc. All gimmicks and worthless. If they say that you have to, remind them that you don't by heading for the door. Okay, I guess I'm not a negotiating kind of guy, but it works now, just like it did when I sold cars.
  17. Okay, I don't like pin-striping if your car is made after about 1986. That being said, with the color of the Edge and the shape, I'd go with either charcoal or black. Either would tie in with the tinted windows and tires.
  18. It's by Dayton. Big aviation town. Sorry to butt in.
  19. The switchbacks are kind of a cool idea, but they got old to me after a while in the last truck. Regardless, they wouldn't work with the Edge. I have no idea why, but you might take that into account when you decide. For the Edge, I went with the 7w amber ones.
  20. I'm considering cutting a cardboard template and then fiberglassing some rigidity into that sucker...
