  1. I would double check with using that one time CC number for your subscription for auto renewal. I did the same thing last year, and they continue your service and keep trying to bill your CC for it, so in the end you still end up oweing them something if you don't actually cancel the service. Thanks for the tip Irish. I recently re-subscribed using the one time CC number - thinking they'd give up and cancel the subscription.
  2. The owner’s manual for my 2011 AWD lists the tank capacity at 19.2 gal. I’m frequently able to fill the tank with 18.5 gals. My last fill-up was 18.95 gals. If it’s really 19.2 gal., that’s cutting it way too close. On that occasion, I drove it about 5-10 miles beyond the “0 miles to empty” indication.
  3. Go to the navigation screen, select a destination, start the route, cancel the route, return to the home screen. The street name should re-appear under the compass. This has worked for me and others.
  4. Had you previously used either of the Edge's two USB ports - successfully? Did you try inserting the upgrade flash drive into the second USB port? It's possible the upgrade flash drive is defective. Try inserting it into a computer and see if you can view its contents.
  5. Another successful performance upgrade! Prior to installing the upgrade, I deleted my phone's info. and performed a system reboot (using the USB reboot method). After the upgrade, re-pairing my phone was effortless. I've been using the upgrade several days now and I'm enjoying the improvements that come with the upgrade. - Fast MFT startup and a reliable, prompt shutdown. - Consistent response time when requesting the voice prompt. - The voice recognition seems to be much more reliable. In the past, I've avoided using the voice commands as it was frequently a frustrating process. - The LARGER text. - Wallpaper on the home screen - a nice touch. - Simplified displays. The overall presentation seems more refined. - Navigation's overall operation is smoother, faster and looks better.
  6. The Weathertech rear cargo liner is very flexible and can easily be rolled and then folded into thirds, or folded in half front-to-back (~36") and then folded into thirds (~42") for a folded package of approx. 18" x 14". Let it set in the sun a bit and it'll get even more pliable.
  7. Just took a look at mine. It's about the same as yours. On the passenger side, the windshield weather strip completely covers the leading edge of the plastic molded piece, which runs the length of the roof. On the driver's side, the windshield weather strip covers the bottom half of the leading edge of the plastic piece. Your driver's side plastic seems to have a bit more downward slope towards the Vista glass, than mine. That piece, along its whole length, will flex if you press down on it. I don't know how it's fastened to the roof. It's minor inconsistency that I hadn't noticed - so Thanks a Lot!!! Just kidding. I don't have any water leaks, or wind noise, so I won't be looking to have anything done.
  8. I don’t think you’d go wrong with either of those, but I’d go for the American Racing version. It seems a little less “busy” – kinda like the Sport’s wheels. Post some pics. when you get them.
  9. Ouch! You’re not the first to do that. Search this site and you’ll find others who have done the same. I’m not sure on the price for a replacement, but I haven’t seen any posts saying they’ve found someone to replace the chrome clading, or repair it for that matter. Yikes!
  10. Wouldn’t an upgrade to NAV also require the addition of a GPS antenna?
  11. I believe what it’s telling you is that the street name you’re entering isn’t in its database. So allowing you to enter in the complete name, wouldn’t result in finding the destination anyway.
  12. I found this performance tip over on the syncmyride.com site. It seems to have helped those who tried it. “I have been finding that performance on my 2011 Lincoln MKX really "sucked" for the first 5 minutes or so after turning on my car, every time I turned my car on. I found a trick that has made the system work much better almost immediately after turning the car on and that has to do with turning off the automatic download of my phonebook from my phone (a setting that is on by default). If you go into the settings for the phone, and turn off auto download of phonebook it might make a big difference for you too.”
  13. Richy, would you mind sharing what you paid for the transferable-lifetime subscription?
  14. Here are a couple of screen shots I found on another forum, from a non-Edge vehicle. I can’t find these anywhere within the Sirius menu system, or MFT for that matter. If anyone knows how to display them on the Edge, please let us know.
  15. I recently replaced mine and I used four 578 9-LED festoons. I found a video on YouTube showing the procedure. It’s for a Ford Superduty Truck, but the dome assembly is identical to the one in your 2011 Edge. The cargo light to LED conversion is even easier. Read Dome & Cargo LED
  16. Kc300c – Thanks so much – you did a fabulous job!
  17. Do a search on this site for MFT issues. The short answer is yes it needs work, but help is on its way in the form of a new update, sometime within the 1st quarter, including new NAV maps.
  18. This past weekend I refilled twice, all highway driving. On the 1st fill-up the car indicated I had 12 miles remaining, the car accepted 16.9 gals. On the 2nd fill-up the car indicated I had 45 miles remaining, the car accepted 16.4 gals. For what it’s worth….
  19. You may know this already, but you can’t get an Edge AWD with the Ecoboost engine; AWDs are equipped with the V6, only. Check out fuelly.com for some real world mpg results on the 2011 Edge FWD/AWD/SPORT. I haven’t done enough highway driving to comment on my AWDs highway performance.
  20. No, I have not had it into the dealer yet – still waiting to hit 5k miles before taking it in. Your issue sounds different from mine, in that mine has nothing to do with the car’s speed, but just the blower’s setting. I can’t hear it from the driver’s seat. I wouldn’t even know about it except a passenger sitting in the rear seat mentioned it. I hope the dealer can resolve both of our issues. Regards
  21. Not sure if you’re looking for all weather floor mats or liners, but I have the Weathertech floor liners on my 2011 Edge and they fit perfectly. I’m pleased with their appearance and they have those snap anchors, which hold them very securely. I have the Husky liners on a 2003 Honda CR-V. They work well but don’t fit quite as well as the Weathertech – but then again I purchased the Husky liners back in 2003, so a newer version may fit even better.
