  1. I don't know if I would say I love it LOL, but am certainly very happy with ours - congrats on the new ride and welcome to the site!
  2. On the small right-hand screen in the gauge cluster.
  3. Looks good, congrats on the new ride! Re the whole matte exterior thing, it's been a fad for a few years and is just overplayed by now IMO, I'd pass.
  4. Old topic, but new update instead of starting another thread on the matter. Anyhoo, installed the Nushield version (links above) with great results. Just the right size (there's a Ford Edge specific part #), clarity is excellent, much improved in bright light, and touch screen sensitivity seems unaffected. Easy to install and definitely recommended for both protection and visibility.
  5. Rec'd mine yesterday and after reviewing again that for most the upgrade went smoothly, decided to go ahead and complete the install as well. Now I was one of the lucky ones *L* I guess with the previous 2.11 as I had zero issues with it going in. So I was a bit hesitant to maybe screw up something that wasn't broken, but what the hell. Install went smoothly and took about 45 mins or so and all seem to be ok at first kick. Not really sure what's been improved, as again mine was ok previously, but the screens do seem a bit less cluttered (and less of 'em) I suppose and the Nav maybe seems a bit quicker - but it's not a function I used extensively so just guessing at that one. Ipod paired up fine and seems to be working on all cylinders including voice commands, same as my Samsung phone, so in the end it works and that's all that counts.
  6. Congrats on the new ride and welcome to the site!
  7. Sorry if I missed an earlier post, but is your Sport AWD or FWD? Drive train losses, of course, are higher through AWD. P.S. previous boosted cars I had, the turner would aim for mid 11's A/F at WOT on the dyno. But again, boosted applications.
  8. On that note, I just replaced the 17" winter wheels/tires with the 20" stockers - can't say the ride is now harsh, but it's noticeably different for sure.
  9. All the larger wheel sizes are for looks only, they actually hurt performance and fuel economy...but yea they do look good!
  10. Picked mine up last October, glad to hear your've been enjoying yours trouble-free aslo - maybe it's a Mineral Grey thing LOL. P.S. yes the adaptive cruise was a pleasant surprise, thought it was just a gimmick before actually using it but it works very nicely even in heavy traffic.
  11. Same here exactly! Haven't rec'd the new upgrade package in the mail yet, but I'm in no hurry anyway for all the same reasons.
  12. Advice? Read the owner's manual - a few times, first time I had to do that with a car myself what with all the "stuff" this thing has LOL. Congrats and enjoy!
  13. Prophetic or what Interview with Arthur C. Clarke
  14. SNAFU - they didn't have an SD card afterall, so told them to hold off on the USB update as well. A sign maybe? LOL
  15. Rec'd a call from my dealer yesterday, they now have the usb/nav cards in and asked if I could drop the car off this morning for the upgrade - so just finished doing that, will see how it goes later today
  16. Loose heat shield is a distinct possiblity, but "rattling BB's in a can" on acceleration is also one of the more common descriptions of engine pinging/detonation. That could be cause by a tank of bad gas, or is more common with cars with a few miles on 'em as carbon buildup in the combustion chamber increases octane requirement.
  17. ^^^This. It's a fairly large reservoir, mine will take a full 4L jug once the low level warning comes on.
  18. Nice! ...and well, while there may be only two of you, at least you won't meet the same ride as yours on every corner over there! :D
  19. Nothing here either yet, but I'm in no hurry to upgrade as I want to see how stable the new version is first as my current 2.11 works great.
  20. Nice! We don't require a front plate where I live, looks like an option for a relatively inexpensive fix to lose that factory front plate holder monstrosity, especially since I'm not a fan off all that fake chrome either.
  21. You still read way too much into what you seem to think others think of you as there may be other issues there, but I digress LOL...and I beg to differ what's wrong here. But again, your decision, and again honestly and sincerely, happy motoring.
  22. davisontech (such an honest sounding pseudonym, unlike say...Scopio LOL)...you seem to think I'm arguing with you - I'm not. I merely pointed out a possible safety issue. I was concerned with it, you were not, so be it but then you got all defensive and started reading things into this that were not there. Were you trying to convince me, or yourself? Attitude, as dingo pointed out, and also being human left me to let you find the TPMS answer yourself, which through a search, you would have found has been discussed on here previously. And that tool, I have one myself, is usually available on Ebay for 20 bucks or less. Again, and sincerely, happy motoring!
  23. No pissing contest, just concerned for your safety...but since you don't seem to be, well happy motoring!
