  1. Exactly - I've tried both just for shits and giggle, difference in idle speed seems to about 300rpm or so. Have it on the low rpm setting now.
  2. Treated both the mats and carpets before swapping in the rubber winter mats - have used it with great success on various previous cars.
  3. Nope, mine definitely do not tilt - must be a newer change to later 2012 builds.
  4. Yup. But with that said, I highly recommend spending some quality time with your owner's manual - you're going to need it big time with the myriad of features on this car.
  5. On my 2012 (Canadian market car), the LED lights come on with the regular HID headlights. DRL's are, as you've noted, the orange lamps inboard of the headlights.
  6. May have just been a glitch with that particular download resulting in a corrupted file - try downloading it again and retry.
  7. That would be cool LOL! Do you have that little gadget that allows you to reset the TPMS yourself? Worth a try if you can get your hands on one. P.S. maybe I've misunderstood your post, but are you saying that other than the drive to work that when you park the car at home again the 22" wheels are still near the car? If so, yup exactly the issue I had - the TPMS is "seeing" those wheels at least once a day and it's getting a valid reading of correct pressure from those sidelined wheels still. You have to remove them from the vicinity of the car completely and then use that little gadget to retrain the new sensors all over again. If the 22" are no where near your car anymore at all, then ignore all I've just said
  8. If your 22's are close enough the car is still reading those and sensing pressure is ok. I had the same issue when I swapped wheels on my Mustang - had them stored in the garage next to the car and no TPMS error light for days, then moved the old wheels to the shed, and TPMS came on the very next drive.
  9. Didn't notice anything other than for real slogging through the heavy stuff (roads weren't plowed) on one steep uphill section, it was best to turn off traction control, as it used to kill power too much and allow the vechicle to bog. With that off, and the ability to keep power to the wheels when they'd start to slip, it was a piece of cake. We have an Acura RDX that behaves very similarly in the same conditions, have to disable the VCS (Acura's term for traction control) in deep snow. But then the owner's manual for that rig recommends doing just that in those conditions. This is for low speed, heavy going of course. Other than that and back on roads less challenging, it was like driving any other time pretty well, other than a dose of caution for braking zones and turns. We both work in jobs that are emergency response related, and so we have to be on the roads to get to our work sites when everyone else can stay home - after today, don't see having any problems with the Edge (as the RDX has done) getting us there and back as long as there's at least a semblance of a road to be had. P.S. We broke a one day record for snowfall that had stood for 30 years today; businesses closed, tractor-trailors jackknifed/cars in ditches, roads closed - that kinda day...
  10. When winter arrives in Canada, it arrives with a bang - had two feet of snow in the driveway this morning to start the day and it's still snowing. Luckily had the winter wheels/snow tires installed awhile back so it's good to go!
  11. Congrats! Lots of secrets to these things, I'm still learning new stuff about mine - this is the first car I've owned where you really need to read the owner's manual LOL
  12. Gave up on IE a few years back as it just kept getting more and more bloated, along with slower and slower it seemed. Went to Chrome at that time, have never really tired Firefox. Chrome works well for my, admittedly limited, internet useage so I stuck with that.
  13. Ah! Yea I'm using Chrome - works great with that one at least
  14. Downloand "adblock plus" - it's free and works with your browser to block ads so prevalent on just about all forums these days.
  15. I went with 235/65-17's on mine - night and day difference with true snow tires in nasty winter conditions, and this is looking to be a long cold winter.
  16. Just a light finger tip touch works for me - have never had to press hard to activate a function.
  17. In a lock release system accessible only through MFT LOL ...

    2013 GT500 ....badass!!!
  19. Very happy with the adaptive cruise - it's one of those things you don't realize you want until you try it LOL. Works amazingly well!
  20. Same here, with the caveat that I'm still only into my first month's ownership (and aprx 2k km), so I hope I'm not jinxing myself LOL. I've even purposely tried "crashing" it by trying to duplicate some of the problems I've read about on here - ie making it do several things at once, and it keeps on keeping on. No lock ups, no black screens, gets songs/playlists/stations when I ask it, navi loads quickly on startup, backup camera works as adverstised. What can I say other than I like it P.S. I have version 2.11 (as delivered).
  21. I have the factory setup and that's the orientation/where the wiring plug is on mine.
  22. Real sorry to hear about it. Re the $500, I'd stand my ground on that one - it's not your fault you're having to wait longer, and so they should eat the extra depreciation. If they don't, well I know what it's like when you have your mind set on a particular vehicle, but sometimes you may have to walk away. And it's a buyer's market out there with a lot of nice rides to pick from. Or other Ford dealers maybe for that matter.
