Let me know next time you're washing cars. Ill bring my Edge and my skates and stick. I too have been really hesitant to use the waterless washes. I've read a ton about them on live2detail.com and I may try this winter.

Pleasantly surprised - first snowfall in the Sport
Edgieguy replied to Road Dog's topic in Wheels & Tires
Glad you "get it". I tell everyone who wants to belittle the snow performance of the Edge or the Sport in particular with the 22" Pirellis. It all comes down to driver input. If you have common sense and know how to pilot a vehicle in icy snowy conditions, no vehicle will let you down. Some will be more capable than others, and its all about repsecting the capability of what you're driving. Two years, two winters and entering my third and I've never been disappointed. -
Great looking truck, beautiful kids. looks like you live in the big wheel neighborhood.

Aloha! Glad youre back and enjoying a new Edge. Joehio and I are anxiously awaiting the first Edge owners meet you host! Polish beers is on me!

if its important you can always get one from a junkyard or new, and install it getting power from the plug that powers your vanity mirror light.

I had an issue while testing a DVR, I found that i needed to be feeding video and then switch to the AV input for it to recognize and play through the center screen. It did work after re-initializing the AV screen

Properly filled tires, empty from excess weight, a clean air filter and keeping the cruise control set for about 1900 rpm gets me the best mileage.

Looks like the Genesis V6 since I see the Brembos poking thru the wheels. I like them, they're certainly not the Hyundais of old.

Welcome aboard! Congratulations, you'll love it! Two years leter and I love mine as much as the day I saw it roll off the truck. +1 for the fastest color!

I get what your saying, but unless your standing by your car within the perimeter keys detection zone when you scare your cat or have a swell of wind to stir some leaves i think you'd be fine. I mean really, consider what the consequences are of what your suggesting. Your near your car for seconds walking to it or away from it when you would want to activate the sensor. you do realize the perimeter key is good for maybe 3-4 feet at best to unlock the doors with touch. My point is, it can be retrofit pretty easily.

i plan on changing mine at the 30k mark. My dad owns a 99 Lexus RX300 which were notorious for trans problems. He changed his trans fluid every 25k and that truck is still running as smooth as the day it was delivered. stick to genuine fluids and youll never have issues.

Power is great no argument there... but when you can still get going rather quickly and still get 25mpg thats not bad. welcome abored, theres lots of great people and information here.

2011 Ford Edge Sport finally dyno'ed ... not impressed with results
Edgieguy replied to scuubydoo3's topic in Mods & Tech
This actually gives me hope that the procharger's 175HP gain wont tear apart the Edge. Im going to speak with my mechanic and have this info relayed to them to see what the engineer we were working with thinks. If parasitic power loss is 90-100 then the 75hp gain should be absorbed by the vehicle without much strengthening of other components required. -

Congratulations! What a blessing kids are. We have 2 boys within 1 year and 2 weeks of each other. I really cant even remember life without them. You truly rediscover life through their eyes again. Enjoy every minute, take lots of pictures, even though she might not feel pretty, she'll look back and realize the glow she had.
