  1. I had my Sport since Nov 2010 and the anytime Ive driven in the snow it was a non issue. I love these tires, I think they're sticky enough in the rain, in the heat, and in the snow. A lot of people don't like these Pirelli tires, nut I have no problem with them. When it's time to change them, I'll be hard pressed to try another brand even though I like to try new products.
  2. I agree. As gas stations begin switching to winter blend fuels, MPG drop
  3. Very nice. Always like the 3D Carbon body panels. I would get the real fender vents and get rid of the pep boys stick-ons. Best of luck with it
  4. Is it? A friend of mine is a car saleman and he told me that the last week of their sales cycle they're always scrambling to close deals to meet and beat incentives based on units sold that cycle.
  5. Im currently looking for a seat builder who could make bigger side bolsters for my seats and recover them to look like OEM. Most of the local hot-rod shops with the old school upholsterers have gone out of business and thats a shame because those guys were the meticulous craftsmen that could pull this off.
  6. ^no kidding. The duragloss 501/105/collinite 845 combo is so hydrophobic I poured water on the car to wash it, then sheeted water on it to dry it and it was clean. So really all I did was rinse the dirt off. Amazing!
  7. I used a 9005 bulb and had none of this nonsense on my 2011 Sport. DId the 2012+ models begin using 9006 bulbs?

    MPG Question

Does seem low, but all of our commutes are different so its tough to compare. My AWD Sport is regularly getting 20+ with a 50/50 mix, and 25 on straight highway. BUT....and everyone's got a but... I didn't see this kind of mileage until after probably 15K miles. Ive been using synthetic oil since my first oil change after break in, and a K&N drop in filter. Since my 22" tires leak air all the time, I'm checking tire pressure every other day, so they're always optimum. No extra junk in the car, and when I do hit a stretch of highway, I'm using cruise control.
  9. Hey Dave, I purchased my 2011 Edge sport after owning a 2005 Ford Escape and then leasing a 2008 Edge Limited. Ive had my share of hiccups with the MFT but overall nothing that would make me want to get rid of my Edge. Honestly, if I totaled it tomorrow, Id buy a new one rather than look at other SUVs. Months after purchasing my Edge, we got an Explorer for my Wife.
  10. Welcome to the boards. You can probably help out the forum member thinking about leaving his Mazda 3 for an Edge Sport. Search out his post and tell him what you think so far. Best of luck, keep us updated
  11. Its a wonderful truck. I'm coming up on 2 years of owning it and I love it just as much as the first day j drove it. If you're thinking more kids quickly though...have you looked at the Explorer? We have that as well and for hauling two kids and their double stroller that extra real estate back there is worth every penny. I can tell you if you loved your Mazda, you won't be disappointed with the Edge Sport.
  12. Welcome aboard. Can't deny, that's a sharp looking truck. I believe that's the second fastest color next to white too. Being such, that's the only other color I would've chose for this vehicle.
  13. They were easy to install, the 4300 is super white light bordering on a tinge of blue.
  14. ^I love that BMW blue. Nothing like it cleaned, polished, with a nice nuba on top in glistening in the sun......
  15. You can always use the 22" from the Explorer Sport Adrenaline or the 10' Edge Sport.
  16. I have a set of HIDs for sale in the classifieds, I had same ones in my 2008 for three years no probs. The set im selling was my backup set in case I ran into problems. PM me an offer. http://www.fordedgef...conversion-kit/
  17. See if you can get to a higher speed and get rid of the vibration, if you can theres a good chance its bearings
  18. If you give them a good wash with Dawn dish detergent, a wipe with isopropyl alcohol, and then seal them with a sealant like: Optimum Opti-coat http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-opti-coat.html or Car-pro Cquartz http://www.autogeek.net/cquartz-dlux.html Then youll have an easier time cleaning them, really more like a rinse without a lot of aggressive agitation.
  19. I guess that youre speaking of aftermarket stick on trim? WD40 works well for getting rid of adhesives. You can also try using a diluted mixture of a citrus cleaner and water, usually 1 part cleaner to 4 or more parts water and you want to rinse that well afterwards. My wife often uses olive oil on a clean cotton terry cloth to wipe away adhesives so you may want to try that as well. Some photos of what youre working on always help when asking for advice. Hope this helps
  20. My 2011 Sport 22's have continued to leak all summer. Almost weekly Ive been in my driveway checking and adding air. One neighbor told my wife how great it is that "I'm on top of things like that" I'm now very embarrassed that the neighbors have noticed me in the driveway all the time. I'm sure they've also noticed all the Ford "Rental Car" as my dealer calls their loaners, in my driveway every other week. I love the look and ride of my Sport, its just so discouraging to have this happen over and over and over....
  21. I read too much bad stuff to use retrosolutions. I went with Superbrightleds and DDMTuning for my lighting needs.
  22. Now i have to go look at mine........... OKay, I did and they look a little better, not much but they are flat. What I did notice is that the rubber seal between the front and rear BAMR are falling in and not flush with the glass panels. On the driver side theyre falling in, and on the passenger side theyre flush and stuck to the glass edges.
  23. Wheel bearings checked? All you need is one flat spot in either one. At say...75 or a different speed, does it go away?
  24. Do A search, I believe someone posted pics with black ones
