it specifically states "Sanded rust off rims" but last I checked my wheels are forged aluminum, and I don't think aluminum rusts. So maybe they actually took a scotch brite pad and cleaned off the oxidation?

The new TSB instructions tell them to sand off the small rubber hairs that are left behind from the tire manufacturing injection process. So today I picked up my Edge and they explained that they sanded the tires and the rims. yup, that what my work order says... sanded tire and rim! I'll keep you updated how it works.

I just got my Sport back from the dealer this afternoon for this very problem. The dealer replaced some transmission part and replaced all the fluid. it's under a TSB but I don't have it with me. they also reprogrammed my for touch and installed a new nav card. take it in to your dealer and have it done before it does damage to the rest of the trans. requiring more invasive repair.

Yes. They continue to remove and clean the bead surfaces and remount and balance the wheels. No better. Ill see tomorrow if anything changes.

They have a great idea which is very simple to recreate. I suppose in a lot of ways you can just link the bluetooth to your MFT and use the Nexus as a jukebox, a nav, and a tab if you have your phone creating a hotspot in the Edge. In NJ its actually illegal to have a video screen playing a video where the driver could see it. Some local kid got busted over and over on flip down visor video screens until he finally abandoned them. Id like to try making this holder over the summer personally.

this was a recall on our 2011 explorer with the 3.5 engine. what did your dealer tell you about it? my Edge had its fans tested soon after and they were replaced.

This would've been a great feature since my 22' s lose air at different rates each week. My Edge is in service now for the third time with this problem. I could probably have taken this in weekly for the past 108 weeks and they still wouldn't know what to do..... I'm going to look into that orange electric solution

IA is the key fob they provide you with. When you walk up to the perimeter of the vehicle, it senses the key fob and when you touch the door handle or trunk release it opens the door. Locking can also be accomplished with just a touch of the outside of the door handle. Once inside the car you simply press the brake while pushing the start button and the Edge springs to life. Dont want to risk losing your IA Key fob while (Insert favorite hobby here) then all you have to do is leave it behind inside the car and lock the door using the keypad. Even if someone breaks a window to get in, the vehicle wont start with the IA key because your entry code was never entered to unlock the door, thats your perimeter alarm. Hope that helps.

Yeah no kidding, not many nice days left before the fit hits the shan and the weathers bad until March. I used DuraGloss 105 marine polish then Duragloss 501 then colinite 845. Water has no chance of sticking to the surface of the Edge. What a wonderful wet look it gives the surface.
