  1. That's my next step. Last night I got the message pictured below. But still no music playing....Ive unpaired and reset the phone a few times. My question is, do I need to download the upgrade and bring it with me or will the dealer have the software downloaded and ready to go?
  2. ^ wow! Sure to cause backlash.... But Yes.
  3. Can you tell me how your wheel locks came from Ford for your Sport? Was there a card or bag or something that had any info? Just want something to arm myself with when I return to the dealer to find where mine are

  4. Are you serious? I didn't get locks w my sport. Can anyone confirm this?
  5. Quads, I got mine Saturday and its simply awesome.
  6. We weren't even offered the tire and wheel protection. How much does that run? I might have had to sign up for that before i drove it off the lot. That would probably have been well worth it.
  7. My 2008 limited had it in the visor and I believe all the new limited's still have it located there. When I spoke to my salesman he said he could order me a homelink visor for my sport for approx. $175. the unit is built into the visor and their is already a power lead to the visor for the light in the vanity mirror. Sounds like a simple swap.
  8. Projector beams it does have, it does not come with High Intensity DIscharge (HID) bulbs. BUT... the after market bulbs and ballasts have gotten better through the past few years and theyve also come down in cost as well SO adding HIDs to your current light housing should be easy and cost efficient.
  9. Im currently have NO luck pairing my Motorola Droid with bluetooth audio. It worked perfectly with SYNC in my 2008, but now it wont play music from my phone at all. I can make phone calls through BT, but the bluetooth audio which I really wound up using a lot, isnt working.
  10. Randy, The Sport rides much like a sports sedan would. Its firm, very flat around corners for somethings its size and weight, and really peppy. Just got our Sport and I love it. I prefer the firm ride to the softer floaty ride of the Limited. We just got out of a 2008 limited with 20" wheels and I feared that the Sport might be too jarring of a ride. Surprisingly its not. I think youll be thrilled with your choice. Report back when you get it and let us know what you think.
  11. Welcome to the boards. Youre going to love your new truck and the change of driving higher and with more space! Great people and info here.
  12. Welcome to the boards. You got yourself a great truck, and will surely enjoy putting the miles on it. Good Luck with it.
  13. The White Sport will blow you away in person!
  14. Just got out of one of those! We loved it, and it was tough to decide if we should buy out our lease for $19k on our liimited or get a new Sport.... We went all in and got an 11 Sport, but thats only because we enjoyed our 08 as much as we did.
  15. Great color! Best of luck with the new Edge. Welcome to the boards, lots of great people and information to be found here.
  16. Hi, did you ever get your front mud flaps for your Sport? Just got mine and was wondering what you thought of them. Any info would be great, part #s, photos, etc.

    thanks

    Andy

  17. I took delivery of our white edge sport saturday morning. It's now monday night and I have probably fielded 10 to 12 questions about the edge at various stop lights and stop signs. This thing is gorgeous and blows away everything out on the road looks wise. Be prepared to start talking about your edge where ever you are stopped. Great truck, great color, you are really going to enjoy this thing.
  18. Lots of warm water hand washes followed by a coating of WD40. The silicone doesn't allow the brine of road salt to pit and stain the polished aluminum in between washes. This is what Ill be doing throughout New Jerseys salty and harsh winter. the tires seem to have a lot of fans for there winter weather performance. Sure, there are plenty of haters too, but read for yourself and decide. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Pirelli&tireModel=Scorpion+Zero+Asimmetrico&partnum=64WR2SCOR0AXLV2
  19. Nice. I considered the Limited in white, but wanted the full painted rocker panels and door bottoms, painted fascias, etc. When i priced out what it would cost to add those parts later it didn't make sense. I can still tow with the Sport, although there is no official package, or sway control program, the tow rating is 2000lbs. My trailer and Polaris RZR weigh only 1500, and it gets moved twice a year...HIDs can be added aftermarket for much less than OEMs, and my dealer can order me a homelink Visor for $175. I really would have liked to have tried the adaptive cruise control, but thats not a deal breaker for me. The Color is beautiful, and THAT was the deal breaker for me. If the Sport wasn't offered in White, I would have created my own. Good luck with your new ride. No sawy
  20. So on 11/06/10 We went to the dealer and we accepted the offer on the table and took the 2011 Sport. Someone told me "Take it, instant gratification" They were right... Its a great driving truck, and since there aren't many out yet in Northern NJ, you can watch as drivers crane their necks to check it out. We got asked at several stop lights to "Roll down the window... What is that?... Its beautiful!" After the second time my wife looked at me and asked if I was planning on tinting out the front windows soon. I def. see the difference in ride from our 2008 Limited w/ 20's. I have to say I was worried that it might be a crashing ride with 22's but its great! This is the truck ive been waiting for. Firm, quiet, and sharp handling. It really drives awesome and feels more like my old Mercedes CLK AMG then an SUV or crossover. I think my SYNC stopped working, But I may be doing something wrong, so I'm not 100% sure yet. Everything else seems to work well. We got the Cargo package included on ours but the dealer took the charge off. They installed the cargo cover and it is the worst looking piec of garbage Ive ever seen. In good faith I couldn't even list it here for sale to someone and tell them it'll look good. Its a joke. I had a great roll up shade in my 2005 Escape and I'm wondering why Ford couldn't put the same roll up shade in the Edge? What a shame they went as far as placing the EDGE logo in the front turn lenses, and then dropped the ball on some details (like a decent cargo cover) completely???? Overall, I would recommend the Edge, and specifically the Sport to anyone. Pictures tomorrow. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Edgieguy, on 03 November 2010 - 06:41 PM, said Ive been offered a 2011 Edge Sport (38070.00) in White (+495) with Cargo Acc. Pack(+290) Vision Pack (+395) All Weather Mats (+75) Backlit Door Sill(+295) Vista Roof (+1595) Driver entry(+895) NAV(+795) destination (+775) ------------------------------------------ FOR A GRAND TOTAL OF $43680. They're giving me invoice $40678 - 4750 in rebates and cash, ($35928) plus paying my last lease payment left on my 2008 limited ($340) Take it? or leave it? It sounds fair to me and Id have the Sport by Friday. So I guess were going to take this.... My Wife spoke to the dealer about options we weren't interested in(back lit door sills, and cargo package), and they agreed to drop to $35343. I knew she could convince me to do stuff, but I guess I underestimated her persuasiveness over others.
  21. ^100% right. I had a discussion with someone in the family who works for Ford and they were explaining this. As long as My Touch in in the car, itll add on later. Smart idea to keep customers coming back if they want to add features, or to just get them in the showroom so they see whats new.
  22. Do you have a part # for these? Did you get them and install them yet? Can you post back with photos when you do?
  23. SWEET!!! This is really solidifying my decision to go get the Edge Sport. Good luck with it.
  24. Wash water, rain water, any type of water that enters the door through the bottom of the window line, runs through the door and exits through several weep holes along the bottom of the door. When you open the door and break the seal with the weatherstripping it drains out. Its not a design flaw, every car door drains this way. Some hold more water than others. The Edge door is large so it stands to reason its going to hold more water than my Wifes Lexus or my MR2 compact. The inside of the doors are coated and painted to avoid rust and corrosion from the water that collects in and around the weep holes. Next time your washing your car, get down on your knees and look at the underside of the door, youll see the weep holes for drainage. Hope this alleviates your worries.
