Yes, a cooler does exist https://parts.levittownfordparts.com/auto-parts/2015/ford/edge/sport-trim/2-7l-v6-gas-engine/cooling-system-cat/trans-oil-cooler-scat Apparently 2 part numbers, w tow and w/o. Is the Gen 2 sport rated for towing?

Engine Cranks but don't start says Low oil pressure
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Looking for Help's topic in Mods & Tech
Not directly related to this issue, but thought I would add it here just in case TSB 13-1-15_ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS)-ADVANCED TRAC WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED - DTCS P193C AND U0401 - BUILT ON OR BEFORE Jan23-2013 http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=179343 The concern often occurs when idling for long periods with the air conditioning on, or when shifting gears. Requires powertrain recalibration. -

Sometimes you have to slap them with a glove and call them to a duel to get results. -
Well, hop to it, man. It's been a couple of days already! LOL.

Methanol in HEET, isopropyl alcohol in ISO-HEET. -
No. Unfortunately, the intake manifold has to be removed to replace ANY fuel injector. The rail and injectors are removed as an "assembly".

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?

Premiumcare would be the only way I know to get coverage on the APIM past the extension date. Pricey just for APIM, not so if you have an AWD. Just had the PTU, A/C compressor, and Left Front Wheel Bearing replaced under PC warranty, deductible only out of pocket cost. Invoice was for $2,800 in all. -
Use Motorcraft Mercon LV (fine for partial or full exchange) or Valvoline MaxLIFE Multivehicle ATF (advise for full exchanges only).

Welcome aboard, and congrats on the "upgrade"! Nice to have that bottom end torque isn't it? Post pics of your new ride when you get a chance, please :camera: :camera:

2017 Edge Sport - Clicking noise when turning right
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to simonp's topic in Recalls, TSBs & Warranty
Either something stuck in the brake dust shield, or it really is an axle/halfshaft issue. Would also inspect the hub/bearing assembly and strut mounts closely. -
Different TStat opening temps between Gen 1 and Gen 1.5. Gen 1 opens around 190F, I believe Gen 1.5 around 180F. So 186F is perfectly OK. Most of the time, the temps on my Edge are between 192F and 196F. Higher ambients will raise those numbers a little, about 2F for every 10F ambient rise.

2010 was a crossover model year in MANY aspects. So it is possible some spec changed, and the Quick Struts do not allow for it, having been developed on a 2007 platform most likely. OR your Edge has had some body work in the past that caused this, but would have to be fairly major.
-
Based on what people have done with late model Fords, you are likely ok upsizing the tire width by up to 30 mm or so total and still be rub-free. The new size you specified is 30mm exactly upsized, so my assumption would be that it is ok.

And there you have it! As far as parts, usually people in the GCC will get them from a local dealer OR they will pony up the customs/shipping fees and have them shipped from the US/Canada. Either way, not cheap I use FordParts.com because I am in the U.S.A. Not sure there is a GCC equivalent site. They mainly seem to new car sales oriented and fluff material otherwise. https://www.me.ford.com/en/are/ownersite/parts/

I am sure there is a lot of dirt intrusion not only into parts but electrical connections. worth having a look at/cleaning up & greasing the fan connections. costs little to get that done. If it works, hey, BONUS! Otherwise, replace fan assembly, keep the original control module with you though, especially if you go with aftermarket fans. There might be ONE video on YouTube where they repair an Edge fan assembly. For the most part though, outright replacement IS standard. The passengerside fan is the "primary" fan. It will run whenever the coolant temp exceeds approx 210F or so. The driverside fan is dedicated for use when the A/C is turned on. The fans are of the continuously variable variety. One way to save your fans? Keep the coolant fresh. Fresh coolant = better passive cooling = less need for fans. Saves the water pump too!
